I really loved this book!! It was a funny and sexy new take on the millions of pretend dating stories out there. Both clueless at dating Henry and Tina are perfect to set each other straight on what they've been doing wrong, for the next person, right? I love that they're so right for each, yet the last ones to realize it. New to the whiskey series I absolutely love how it makes an appearance. Definitely going to check out the rest of them now.
I received an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest opinion.

Tina and Henry have such a cute story is was fun watching them pretend to date but having them call each other flaws out as they go on. It honestly seems the best way to date someone. Even though Henry was kind of a douche in the beginning he definitely worked his way to be an amazing guy. Overall really good book

This book is about Henry, the older brother of the hero from Whiskey Chick and if you read that one you'd know Henry came across as rather obsessed with his ex so it's no surprise to find that he's unlucky in love. One night a group of drunk women get in his car after mistaking it for their uber which ultimately leads to Henry getting the number of Tina, who agrees to fake date him in order for both of them to improve their dating skills.

This was so much fun to read! I loved Henry as the hero, at first I wasn't too sure on him but he really grew on me. These books are a lot of fun and they're such quick reads so i'd definitely recommend this series.

I started a few other romances and none of them had the writing "zing" that kept me engaged. I was basically flipping through the first few pages of books like a channel surfer. It wasn't until I saw Whiskey Trick was available from NetGalley that I knew I needed to jump on this. I had previously read Whiskey Chick and, enjoyed it so much, I had hopes this would be an entertaining read. OMG. It surpassed my expectations! Henry was just a tool in Chick. I mean, clearly, we were meant to root for Adam last time. But Ringbloom did a fantastic job with him in Trick. You can't help fall in love with him and T.Rick.

When we first meet Henry is not a likeable character and a pompous....he grows on you and he wants to learn. Tina is a bit of a mess but likeable character. These two definitely have a meet cute story.

Whiskey Trick is a cute, fluffy contemporary which was everything I had been looking for.
Mutual pining + a lot of angst and some fake dating cliché, it was a fun book to read!

I ended up devouring this whole book in one sitting which was actually quite a surprise for me since I need to take breaks while reading a book.

Henry is still thinking of Sasha, his ex from 3 years ago and is unable to move onto second dates.
So, he decides to ask Tina, a girl who had been whining about how her ex was an asshole and how she couldn't tell him that, to help him figure out what he has been doing wrong and in return, she can work on being assertive as she points out his mistakes.

Somewhere along the way, the lines get blurred and the story becomes fascinating and thrilling.
As the title suggests, a 'Whiskey Trick' is played on them and things get even more complicated.

This book was really fun to read and I had a lot of fun while reading it!

I loved everything about this sweet romantic comedy by Ryan Ringbloom! Henry is hilarious with his quirky dating style while Trina is his perfect complement.

So. The name of the book threw me off for sure. I kind of thought this book would have bars and cowboys and the farm in it. I was definitely wrong, 😂! It was so great! And near the end of the novel you find out why it is actually called Whiskey Trick and I thought it was pretty clever. It’s definitely not a raunchy kind of novel as it focuses more on the relationship of the two characters and how they are feeling. It also shows both perspectives (which I am starting to appreciate more as well). I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this author!

First of I think it's brilliant how the title ties in with the story Whiskey Trick: T. (Tina) Rick and Remi and Jenn played a trick on them by giving them tea disguised as whiskey to get them to loosen up.
Secondly I think it's adorable how the author showcases that men are sometimes simply clueless when it comes to dating and that not everything that seems a bit weird is done with bad intentions. Sometimes they just have no clue what is OK and what is not.
It's hilarious and sometimes you just want to shake them and tell them to open up. Especially when Tina still thought it was a game after the night they spent together 🤦‍♀️.

I love this series! They are the perfect quick, funny reads that I need when I have a book hangover from too many emotionally draining romances. I am a sucker for fauxmances and this one has an interesting variation of that trope with the Beta dating scenario. To be honest when I saw that this book was going to be about Henry I wasn't that excited. I thought he was boring in Whiskey Chick so I wasn't sure where the laughs were going to come from Ryan Ringbloom knows how to deliver a fun, lighthearted romance and I certainly wasn't disappointed.

I have not read anything by this author before and my opinions are my own. Take my two cents as you wish.

I could not get past chapter four of this book. It hurt my head. The idea of the guy "Henry" being a perpetual bachelor with a clear lack of social skills.. I could understand. But.. so much happened in those first four chapters that made me cringe that I just could not move forward.

Once Tina and her friends mistake Henry's car to be an Uber, I had lost my patience. There has been so much media as of late around Uber/Lyft and other drivers taking advantage of young vulnerable people that it made me want to vomit because this was used as a "meet cute". Not only that, but Tina is a blubbering, heart broken mess in the backseat of the car. And rather than be honest with the girls that he isn't their driver he takes them to their destinations. Then.. Henry asks Tina's friend, Amanda for Tina's phone number.

I hate the thought of romanticizing this type of situation. Not just because the individuals taking the car ride should be cautious, but because this guy had the disgusting ability to seek out an already vulnerable woman.

Sorry.. but I couldn't finish this. My moral compass was too strong to see past these glaring issues.

This is a light hearted funny book!
It was a great short read.

Tina is sick of dating seriously! Every guy is an a**hole in her opinion. She writes Fortune cookie inserts for a living and owns her own home. She is a normal woman but for the life of her can’t find Mr. right. One night her and her two friends go out to the bar and she happens to see the guy she has gone on a few dates with enjoying his night with another girl. She gets hammered and her and her two friends order a Uber and decide to call it a night. That’s when everything changes....
meet Henry he is super successful just not in his dating life. He can’t get any worse then where he is regarding that. He was in a long term relationship and did everything her way when she up and leaves one day no explanation or anything. Now he finds out he can’t make it past the first date and sometimes can’t even make it through the first date. He is sitting outside a restaurant next to the bar where Tina is, contemplating going in when three chicks jump in his car and state there address. Lol he tried telling them he was not Uber but no luck. What the hell he will give them a ride. The whole time he is driving Tina is in the back crying stating how she wished she told the guy she was dating what a huge a**hole he was. That gives Henry a great idea and that’s where we jump on the roller coaster:)

I literally was laughing out loud reading this. everyone in my house looked at me like I was a crazy. Super funny and cute!! The only thing I wish is that Henry had more confidence cause I am that girl that love a so sure man!!!
Great read!!!

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
So I couldn't get into this romance novel that promised to be funny and entertaining. Henry was too uptight and did too much on first dates. Tina is supposed to help him have better dates but ends up falling for him instead.i didn't feel the natural chemistry between them. Henry was too annoyingly self conscious making this novel difficult to get through. I just prefer my heros with more confidence.

It was an overall decent read but it definitely wasn't on par with "Whiskey Chick". The romance was too fast paced and rushed to me, and before I knew it the "L" dropped which I'm never in favor of when reading romance novels if it's too instant. Sadly this just didn't do it for me, leaving me ultimately disappointed in this read. Definitely overrated yet not completely awful if you're looking for a quick easy rom-com.

4.5 stars
I love this series! I didn't even know there was another book coming out! I was happily surprised Henry got his own book. Not only that, but I loved his story and how Whiskey tied into it in an adorable way! Ryan Ringbloom's writing is fun and sassy. she tells a story in a fun way, that makes me love all of her book, and I don't love most books in a series. This one work.Good Job Ryan Ringbloom!!
