It has been seven years since Holly Kennedy's husband, Gerry, passed away. For Holly, the first year after his death was about surviving with grief, and then it became about living with grief. Now, Holly is well on her way to moving on. She has a great boyfriend, Gabriel, and Holly is close to selling the house that she and Gerry bought right after their wedding. Her progress is derailed, though, when Holly goes on her sister's podcast to talk about the PS, I Love You letters that Gerry left Holly for a year after his death. The podcast has inspired a group of terminal patients to form a club of sorts to leave notes for their loved ones. And they want Holly to help. And just like that, Holly's grief that has been kept at bay for several years is back in overwhelming waves. Will Holly be able to help this group of people without sinking into grief? And will her family, friends, and her boyfriend understand her decisions to help these strangers write their own PS, I Love You letters?

I admit it; I approached Postscript with trepidation. PS, I Love You was such a beloved book and then movie that I was afraid to see what a sequel could bring to readers. I was so relieved to find a delightful, heartwarming, heartbreaking novel. It was so good to have Holly Kennedy back to life, but she is not the Holly that we remember. Holly is happy and loves her bicycle as much as she loves her television, but that is a major part of this book. How Holly comes to grip with the fact that she has changed and grown since Gerry's death. And Gerry doesn't know the person she is today. I kind of got angry with Gabriel when he was such a jerk about Holly's desire to help the club. I think Holly was right to break up with him, but even then, she experienced such growth. - CLICK HERE FOR SPOILERS Postscript ended up wrapping up nicely, but not before I found myself sobbing with a broken heart.

Bottom Line - Cecelia Ahern should be commended for handling the sequel of a beloved fan favorite with such grace. I absolutely loved what she did with Holly's story and even though I was a sobbing mess that it is the best book I have read yet in 2020. It simply cannot be missed.

Loved PS I Love you, this was a fitting follow up! It was still emotional and a little heartbreaking but also made me smile :)

Holly lost her husband seven years ago. On his death she found he had written her letters to help he deal with the loss and get on with her life.

Holly has her life back on track and although her husband Gerry is forever in her heart she has now a new partner Gabriel and is working with her sister in her vintage shop. She decides to take part in a podcast on grief and loss where she tells the story of Gerry and his letters. People are so inspired by them they approach her to start a PS I Love you club to assist other going through similar grieving processes. They want her to help write letters to their families as Gerry did.

Holly finds herself grieving for Gerry all over again and experiencing another journey with the members of the club and their pain and loss.

Have the tissues ready for this one it is just as good as the first book and nearly as emotional.

This is book 2 in the P.S. I love you series and it's a box of Kleenex good. It could be read as a stand alone but you'll want to Holly and Gerry's story. Gerry had sent Holly letters to be delivered after his death and she did a pod cast and a news article about how it helped her move on. Now there is a group of terminally ill people asking for her help to create their own letters for their survivors. A tear jerk of a read but such a good story. It's great to see how Holly has grown and come to accept her life. By helping others she has discovered so much more about herself. I truly hope there is a 3rd book. This book has you smiling and crying. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

As a HUGE fan of PS I Love You, I loved this book. I was weary of a sequel since the first book was so memorable, even after all these years, but for me, it did not disappoint. It was so moving, I definitely cried, and at the end left me satisfied. I loved all the characters that they brought in and I loved that Holly comes in with a bigger purpose, to help others. I love Cecelia Ahern's writing style and I'm so happy she gifted us with one more story about Holly.

While only a sample, I was not immediately drawn into this book. Which is sad, since I LOVED "PS I love you". Overall I was really disappointed

We return to Holly Kennedy in this sequel to “P.S I Love You “ it’s been seven years since she lost her husband Gerry to cancer. She has slowly started to rebuild her life again, dating and considering moving in with Gabriel. What I liked about Holly in this book was that she was still a bit of a hot mess. She didn’t have it all together, even after all this time. Cecelia Ahern wrote about the journey towards death and the grief that ensues with sensitivity .I am so glad to have read this book that made me laugh and cry!

I loved P.S. I Love You, and was very hesitant to read this one because I just didn't think I would have the same experience. I am happy to say that I was incorrect. I adored this book and it made me cry in the absolute best way.
It is such a raw, real look at grief and loss and how it changes over the years. Our grief doesn't stay the same and it can be disconcerting to both ourselves and to those around us when things change. I loved how Holly and Gabriel have such differing views and how they work and work to make their perspectives mesh into a loving relationship. I sobbed with Holly's dilemmas, each and every one of them, and also laughed with the humor in the varying situations.
P.S. I Love You was the author's first book way back in 2004, and I've been a fan ever since. Her maturity with her writing has just deepened over the years and I'm thrilled that Holly's story turned out the way it did. Fantastic book.

Absolutely fantastic book again by Cecelia.

I was however, unsure on one detail. Didn't Holly and Gerry meet at a pub when Holly was visiting Ireland in P.s. I love you.

In this book they appeared to be at school together, did I miss something or did they rekindle there friendship when they met in the pub?

Aside from that they book was wonderful, I was transported back to Holly receiving her letters and being impressed at how she handled herself with the people wanting help with their loved ones once they passed on.

Some really sad parts that brought me to tears, for an author to be able to reduce someone to tears through words and the feeling of being there in the book with the characters always astounds me.

I read P.S. I LOVE YOU about two or so years after it was published, and I was surprised to find that Cecelia Ahern was just 21 years old, and the daughter of the then Prime Minister of Ireland, Bertie Ahern,

To me P.S. I LOVE YOU was what I call a HEART GRABBER, and even 15 or so years later it is still a HEART GRABBER to me I had wanted a sequel to P.S. I LOVE YOU from the beginning, but it never materialized.

I was surprised that 15 or years later to see that Cecelia wrote a sequel to P.S. I LOVE YOU a book called POSTSCRIPT. It was great to catch up with Holly and see how life has treated her and her friends and how she has coped with Gerry''s death and grown from what she learned.

This book was beautiful, if nothing else. I will be honest when I say that I did not remember much of the first book before reading this but it totally did not pose any problem in understanding Postcript.

We follow with Holly's story in this sequel as she navigates through life, a new beginning. But somehow, Garry never seems to leave her life. When a group of people from the P. S. I love you club contact her for her help, Holly is pulled back into a life that she thought she had left behind.

Postcript is a book filled with hope and love and joy of new beginnings. It talks about loving and losing, of grief and starting again. I loved the various little scenes that we got with the new characters and how they become so important for Holly.

Through this book, the author also tackled the fear of dying and leaving behind our loved ones. It's okay to let go sometimes and that's something we need to understand.

I really enjoyed Postcript which was a wholeheartedly uplifting book. It was simple and exquisite and something that you need on a rainy day.

Postscript was a lovely surprise. When I read about this second part, I was thrilled, because PS I Love You was one of my first romance books and it was the book that made love Cecelia Ahern. It meant a lot to me when I was younger and now I could see Holy’s story from another point of view, my older self’s view and I could understand and relate in a different way.
I wish I could have read PS I love you one more time before reading this book. I couldn’t, but it was ok because Postscript takes you back, and even when several years have passed (in real life and in the story) all the feelings are there.
I will be honest, there were some times when I thought a second book was unnecessary but in the end, I think the story worked and it might not have been necessary but it was great to read about it.
Overall, I deeply enjoyed it and if you have read and loved PS I Love You, you must read Postscript.

I only got to read an excerpt of this book through netgalley. I had not read PS I Love You but I did love the movie.

Postscript was a nice look into how Holly has been moving on in her life without Gerry and his letters. The book starts off with Holly being approached to share her story on how she grieved the loss of her husband and how she has been able to pick up the pieces and move on. Others have found her story inspirational and feel that she could affect people more than she believes.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book and Holly's journey!

This was a sampler of the sequel to "P.S. I Love You ". It has proved to be just as good as that was, if not better. I am looking forward to reading the entire book when it is released.

Not only did the sampler have me hooked, but now I've been approved for the sequel, and I can't wait to read it!

Please note: as this is only a sampler, I have not posted anything yet to my blog or Goodreads until I finish the ARC!

I was so excited to get the chance to read a sample of Postscript. PS I Love You is one of my all time favourite and I was not disappointed after reading this excerpt. I am extremely excited to read the full book later this year! I am sure that Cecelia Ahern will deliver a brilliant sequel to this class book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC

This was a sequel to PS I Love You and a sampler of 37 pages. It is set in Ireland. Holly Kennedy works for her sister in a second-hand shop called Magpie. It has been seven years since Holly’s husband Gerry died from cancer. Before Gerry died, he left ten letters for Holly to open each month after his death. Each letter ended with “PS I love you”. Holly is asked to speak about how the letters helped her get her life back together. She speaks to an audience of friends and family in her sister’s shop and the interview is broadcast in a podcast.
Many people listen to the podcast and a small group of people suffering from cancer or other terminal illness form a group and call themselves “The PS, I Love You Club”. They want Holly to help them write letters so they can leave something for their families.
Holly does not want to get involved but she gives in and helps after meeting the club members.
This was only a small sampler of Postscript but I loved it and I have since read the book and fully enjoyed the book, I loved the humour and the sadness,I loved the descriptions of Holly’s family and friends and the stories of the members of the “PS, I Love You Club”
