The story had a really fun start. It became a bit more serious but overall the characters are really fun to get to know and the story moved along at a great pace.

This is another enchanting story by Aurora Rose Reynolds. I always enjoy reading her stories about hot alpha males falling in love. Once they meet the woman meant for them, they won’t let anything get in their way of making them theirs. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it has a mix of sexiness, sweetness and laughter.

Tyler is a charming and protective guy and when he moves in next to Leah he is immediately attracted to her. Leah is insecure and tries to fight her feelings for Tyler but realizes she is only fighting herself. Tyler and Leah have a lot of chemistry and they are both likable. They are both in their thirties and not looking for love, but love finds them. I enjoyed all the interactions between Tyler and Leah. Whenever they are together, sparks are flying. First, they have to get through some outside forces trying to keep them apart. This smoothly written, heartfelt story left me with a good feeling. This has an engaging story line and is also fun and entertaining.

M/F Romance

Leah is a snarky, hilarious, caring woman who just wants to find someone to share her life with. Unfortunately, her mom and grandma work with her and are constantly trying to set her up with men they believe would be a good fit for her. Even so, she can't help but love them. After her last disastrous date with someone she had dated when they were in high school, Leah thinks she's hit her limit for a while.

Tyler has just moved to the city and is starting a new job. It's a huge surprise when he finds someone sneaking in through his window… a very attractive and almost naked someone. Their first meeting was hilarious.

Tyler and Leah strike a deal, mainly due to their animals' whims. Their friendship is something that I really enjoyed watching blossom. When strange things start happening around Tyler and Leah, they have to figure out what's going on and if someone is after them.

This was such a sweet story and I really loved watching the relationship develop and unfold. I can't wait to see what happens next because all of the characters were fun to watch.

This is a fun read with two believable people leading fairly normal lives, and finding chemistry that is definitely worth pursuing. The first time they meet is one of the funniest scenes, but there are plenty of others that made me chuckle.

Tyler, having moved away from family for his job, finds he has a very appealing neighbour, Leah. However, she is definitely somewhat against relationships and so he takes a careful path to her heart. It is helped by his lovable dog and her cat's acceptance of him. He is very good at being exactly what she needs without pushing and so she catches him almost by default!

A perfect happy, fun, and romantic read, with some very cute and heartwarming scenes. What's not to like?

Catching Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds is a super sweet book with some laughter in between.

I gotta give it props, not many books I have read use my name so it was fun to read. And the name was well represented.

Leah works with her mother and grandmother in their hair salon that her grandmother owns. Done with men in general, it was suggested she get a cat. A cat which has now gotten her into trouble more than once.

One of the best parts is during the first scene of her sneaking into what she thought was an empty house in her nightshirt and undies only to be met by the new owner. Whoops! And of course the banter with her grandmother and mother.

Tyler, the new neighbor, has an amazing dog. I want his dog. To me, Tyler is more of the silent, brooding type. Protective yes. Alpha, I don’t know, I am not feeling it.

Leah’s and Tyler's relationship is comfortable. It is one of those meant to be. I enjoyed reading about a blue-collar, hard-working man taking care of what is his. Not like every other book being an office working or president of a company.

I've read this author's Until Series (all of them) so I was happy to see that she had a new series coming out. Unfortunately, as I read this one, I felt as though she could have just added a few more sexier sex scenes and this story could be plopped right down in the middle of any of the Until Series.

This book is an easy read, with tons of sweet moments and some sexy ones thrown in for good measure. It's not that I didn't enjoy aspects of the book (I love me a non jerky Alpha male), but it was just too similar to her other books. And I figured out the "mystery" before it even happened.

Leah and Tyler are too stinking cute!

The story is super sweet, fun, and low on angst. If you’re looking for a quick fun read that’s hot and sweet, I highly recommend this book from one of my favorite authors.

What I Enjoyed Most:
The beginning was funny and cute. Super cute pets lead to a chance meeting between these two lovebirds. I particularly loved their pets. If only my fur baby was as obedient as Bruce. LOL

Every woman wants a man like Tyler! He’s hot, good in bed, and super duper sweet, but still macho enough to stand up for his love. I loveeeeeeee him.

Leah is a great character. A great girl. Someone I’d totally want to hang out with and shoot the breeze. She’s caring and easy going.

Their relationship is fun, flirty, and easy. As I stated before, this one is low angst. It’s a pretty straight forward romance. No major surprises, just a good time. Not sure if its just me, but this one seemed to be a bit sexier and I was here for it!
All in all, a great read!!

Hot neighbor moves in, you pretend to ignore him after meeting him in the most embarrassing way. Any reader knows where this is going to lead and they won’t be wrong. The heat is obvious, the spark is hot, and the attraction is there.

I loved that this book wasn’t just about falling into bed. The story is told with Tyler being a gentleman. He woo’s and wins her over, meets her parents, stands up to those who are not respectful to her, and he shows her that he is in for the long run. I also loved that Leah didn’t just blow him off, she let him win her over all while keeping her standards high and expecting him to meet them. She respected him, trusted him, and gave him all of her when the timing was right.

Catching Him is a quick and easy book to read. Once I started, I finished it within a few hours and was excited to see what would come next in this series.

This was such a fun and sweet read and with all the angst I have been reading lately, this was just what the doctor ordered.

Tyler and Leah were extremely funny and cute together...and did I mention HOT, they were definitely HOT.
Tyler was everything one would look for in a book boyfriend... all delicious alpha goodness !!

Now I am gonna be honest here and say that I normally like a bit more angst in my story and a bit less sugary goodness, but in this case, it worked for me, especially because of all the angsty books I have been reading.

So if you are in the mood for something light, and sweet, cute and HOT.... you should really give this one a go. I am going with 3 - 3,5 stars ;)

Leah is a modern woman who has decided that the only man she needs in her life is her cat and he brings more than enough trouble. This is how she ends up in her neighbor’s apartment rescuing her cat and meets her sexy new neighbor in a way they won’t ever forget.

Tyler has just moved not only into his new apartment but to town as well. From the moment he sees his new neighbor she inspires feelings in him that he hasn’t felt before. He knows that they belong together and now he just has to convince her.

Hot chemistry, witty banter and a protective man who is determined when it comes to Leah and will do anything to protect her. When you throw in a dog that anyone would love and a cat with a personality you won’t forget it all adds up to a fun story.

Aurora Rose Reynolds has an unbelievably fast way of always sweeping me off my feet. I can lie and tell you I have no idea why, but the truth always lies within her alpha males. These men are hot, sweet, and a tad bit protective. They’re everything that dirty dreams are made of and Tyler just surpassed them all!

About Catching Him:

Catching Him is the first book in the How To Catch An Alpha series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. This novel is also told from both Leah and Tyler’s point of view.

Leah is sick of the dating scene, she’s sick of always doing the chasing and ending up broken and alone in the end. She wants to feel needed in a way that she’s never felt needed before. She wants a man to want to work for her time and her affection.

Tyler is new to town and the last thing he expected was to wake up to a loud noise and find his neighbor sprawled on the floor beneath his guest bedroom window after sneaking in to get her intruding cat. Nor does he expect to feel an instant attraction to his new neighbor. But just from one look he realizes this woman is one that he’s going to have to work for. She’s different than the others. She’s everything he’s been searching for.

Although they are happy, their about to come to the realization that there is someone else who isn’t too happy about their newly developed relationship and a little suspense gets thrown in the mix.

My Thoughts:

I’ve been needing a strong dose of Alpha Male in my reading lately, and as luck would have it, Aurora Rose Reynolds' book happened to be the next one on my tbr. So let’s start with how I felt about the characters.

First up is the alpha in question, Mr. Tyler Duncan. Lately I haven’t been feeling much of an alpha vibe in what I’ve been reading. Sure they have alpha tendencies but more than most they just come across as assholes. So when I started reading Catching Him, I was honestly expecting him to be the asshole alpha that so many novels are writing about. Well, I’m so freaking happy that my expectations were all wrong! Tyler Duncan is sweet as pie, but you mess with this man or his loved ones and he can go from sweet to mean in a matter of milliseconds. He’s the perfect example of the alpha’s that I love in romance novels. And of course this man also has the sexy down to a T. So with the sexytude, the endearing charm, and his protective streak, I can safely say this man is in the running to be on my top ten alpha’s list.

As for Leah. I was honestly surprised by Leah’s character. I loved the fact that she honestly gave a shit about the people around her and their happiness. She loves with her whole heart and isn’t afraid to step up and fight for those who need a helping hand. But beneath the surface this strong woman has insecurities as we all do. Once in awhile those insecurities show but she didn’t let them overtake her life and her relationship with Tyler. She fought through the bullshit and met him head on with a positive take and a smile. And trust me when I say, Tyler’s mama definitely brought the big guns out, and I don’t think I would have been as calm as she was during those dire moments. This woman is true, she lays it all out on the table and I found myself respecting her more and more with each page turned.

The strong family vibes was one of my absolute favorite things about Catching Him. I loved how if one person was in a bad situation, they all stopped what they were doing and came running. There was so much love all around in this novel and it flowed effortlessly from person to person, and page to page.

Don’t even get me started on Bruce and Mouse!
Bruce is Tyler’s adorable dog who would rather sleep his time away near Leah that go with his own owner. And Mouse is Leah’s new kitten who’s favorite pastime is to hide and jump out at you when you least expect it. Bruce and Mouse definitely brought the laughter to this novel. I loved these two animals and their wild and crazy antics!

Now onto why I rated this a 4 star instead of giving it a full five star rating.
I found the suspense moments to be a tad bit predictable. It was to the point where I literally slapped my forehead and yelled who the suspect of interest was. I knew from the moment ___ came on the screen that ____ was a shifty person. I needed a little more secrecy on that front to not be able to know who the perp was.

Overall, with everything aside regarding the suspenseful moment and my being able to easily pick apart the pieces and predict endings, I loved Catching HIm!! Aurora Rose Reynolds definitely knows how to write a romance worth reading! I was captivated from the start and enamoured through the end. I easily read this book in one sitting. Tyler and Leah’s story was just as steamy as it was sweet. I couldn’t get enough!!!

great book by Aurora Rose Reynolds! This short story is jam packed full of love and laughs. The story held my attention from start to finish. There are definitely some pretty steamy parts to, and I was loving/ living for all that. I can't wait for the next instalment. I loved the characters, and the simpleness to this story.

Catching Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds is the First book in the How To Catch an Alpha Series. This is the story of Tyler Duncan and Leah Emerson.
Tyler just had to move for his job and along with it has a new house, but more importantly he has a neighbor that he is instantly attracted to. Leah's cat doesn't seem to understand that the house next door is off limits. This leads to some funny encounters between Tyler and Leah. It doesn't take Tyler long to know what he wants and to get it which Leah is soon learning because he wants her. But of course things don't go to easy for them.
This was a hot read for me...big fan of Ms. Reynolds writing!

4 1/2 STARS!

CATCHING HIM is the first book in the brand new How to Catch an Alpha series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. It centers around a hairdresser and a construction foreman who have an adorable meet-cute and begin a friendship that quickly blossoms into romance.

Leah catches the reader's eye quickly as a headstrong woman who doesn't need just any old man in her life, she is only looking for Mr. Right ... and when each of their pets seem to conspire to bring them together, she and Tyler might have to consider if it's a sign.

Tyler is a take charge kind of guy, but seems to have a heart of gold right from the start. We're quickly drawn into their relationship, but things get a little uneasy when Leah seems to become the fixation of someone else.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a fast paced, fun-loving story with a couple who just seems to connect right from the start. He's alpha-ish, but even more of a good-hearted down home kind of person. Their connection is spot-on, and their animals really make the story! Looking forward to more to come in the series.

Catching Him is cute and sweet in all the best ways. Leah is done with chasing after guys, she wants to be the one pursued.
Tyler is definitely the man for that job. A kind, protective alpha who knows what he wants.

“My mom is going to flip her lid—not in a bad way. She’s going to be so happy I’m bringing a man with me that she will probably start knitting baby booties. Not that she knits. She’ll probably just order some off Amazon for free two-day delivery.”

The story is low angst but with an interesting storyline that kept me always engaged. Add in the adorable kiddos and pets made this book a new favorite by this author.

Leah Emerson has given up on chasing men. When she ended her last relationship for never progressing, she decided she was happy to be single, until someone who wants to work for it comes along. Little did she know, love has moved in right next door...

Tyler Duncan can't believe it when he finds a gorgeous trespasser in his house, but he knows immediately that she is someone he wants to get to know a whole lot more. Friends first... and then Tyler has so many plans for his adorable next door neighbor...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Catching Him was the sweet and sexy, instalove story of two people who find love right next door. Leah and Tyler have a few obstacles to finding their HEA, but with a love that is meant to be, they can face anything, as long as they have each other...
Leah was an admirable character who stood up for what she believed in and won over hearts with her sweet personality and sassy comebacks. Tyler was a little bit of a baby alpha, with his need to protect and take charge, he was just who Leah needed as a partner in their sometimes crazy life.
This was a good read! Leah and Tyler started out as friends, but you definitely catch on to the instalove aspect pretty immediately. I like the light drama in the plot and the sweet and easy relationship between Leah and Tyler. I did feel like these characters and their personality traits were nothing new, but I still enjoyed the book immensely.
This book was a nice beginning to the How to Catch an Alpha series, and I can't wait to see what story comes next!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
I adore Aurora Rose Reynolds. She writes the sexiest alpha-heroes and has a way to make the chemistry between characters leap off the page. Catching Him is a swoon-worthy romance in which the hero falls fast and hard for the heroine.
