I’ve never read a book by Aurora Rose Reynolds, and I can happily say that Catching Him was the perfect first book I’ve read of hers. I absolutely LOVED this book! It was sweet, funny, swoon worthy, with a tiny bit of drama. It was the perfect romance novel I was looking for. I can’t even begin to explain what Tyler did to my heartstrings. Even though the book was told mostly from Leah’s POV, Tyler stole the book for me. Who doesn’t love a gorgeous boy next door with his southern charm and his absolute adoration for the woman he can’t stop thinking about? I can’t say enough how much I LOVED this book. It put me in the perfect mood & I’m going to be smiling all day because this book just did it for me!

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake Romance for granting my request for an ARC of this book. The review below is entirely my own opinion.

I loved this book! It’s one of my favorites that I’ve read this year bec it has all the elements that I love in a good romance book.

The heroine is spunky, sweet, knows what she wants, is hardworking and is close to her family. The hero is alpha yummy with a very confident attitude but is still quite the gentleman. Their pets are cute and endearing. The secondary characters aren’t distracting and there aren’t so many of them that you get lost with who’s who.

There’s some angst, very little actually, but I thought it was dealt with in a very straightforward way which I totally appreciated. Let’s just say that I didn’t have any urge to throw my Kindle at the wall during any point in my reading this story. LOL

In a nutshell, it’s a light, entertaining read with a whole lot of feels. Their romance developed nicely and smoothly. No insta-lust here, but it sure has heat.

If you’re a fan of ARR’s books, I think you’ll be totally happy with this couple and their love story.

Aurora has done it AGAIN!
I always swoon over the hero in every single book of ARR and want them for myself. Leah and Tyler are PERFECT! Both amazing people by themselves but together such an amazing pair! I don’t want to give too much away, but Tyler being the dreamy swoon boat that he is, taking the time to get Leah to know him and realize he isn’t going anywhere before making his move is exactly what our girl needed! There of course is some drama with someone from Leah’s past but with Tyler and Leah together nothing can really stand in their way. They complement each other beautifully and the story was just so great and I was smiling the entire way through.THANK YOU, ARR!

This was your typical ARR rom-com. Alpha male and a somewhat quirky girl who have their meet cute in random situation. If you love her previous work then really enjoy this one.

This was a straight up sweet romance. The low angsters out there will be pleased. There also wasn't a whole lot of action until the last 15 - 20% which was a bit of a disappointment as I'm an action hound. I liked both main characters and enjoyed getting to know their friends. Unfortunately, this didn't grab hold of my attention until the very last bit. Even then, the suspense was wrapped up so fast and easy I almost felt cheated.

This is a cute story and those who love low angst, sweet romances will love it.

Tyler and Leah’s story definitely didn’t start off typical but it ended beautifully! I loved every second of this book and though I figured out part of the plot I was not let down by the writing or the humor laced through the pages! This story is a Beautiful telling of girl meets boy, boy infuriates girl but sneaky pets bind them together! I mean who needs a dating app or awkward set ups when you have A sneaky cat and a protective dog? I loved that there wasn’t any over the top drama and that the situations that took place were relatable and realistic! Defiantly not my last aurora book!

Aurora Rose Reynolds has done it again! She continues to deliver feel good romances that leave you swooning and drooling over her sexy alpha men. My favorite series by her has been and will always be The Until series and Catching Him has the elements I love from The Until Series making it an ultimate home run in my opinion. A Must Read for her fans!

Leah & Tyler's story is hilarious, sweet, and fun, with a bit of suspense thrown in. I LOVE this couple so much! They start out as friends - with Tyler doing his best to guide them in a timely fashion to more. *grin* They have awesome pets that try to steal the show, and both families are also quite fun to read about! I love the supporting cast. This was just an all around fantastic read!! : )

Catching Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds a five-star read that you will want to catch with both hands. This is the first novel in the How to catch an Alpha and I am so excited for number two, this was so cute and funny and just simply amazing. You will get swept up in the drama and taken away to a cute place with amazing neighbours. Tyler Duncan is just the man you need in your life and the fact that he has a super cute dog just makes it all the more perfect. He is just the man that Leah Emerson needs in her life and this story just goes from strength to strength, the more you read the more you will get hooked and the drama will unfold and just suck you in. There is drama galore but its well done and true to the story, This is one story that you can’t miss.

I really enjoyed this story. Two neighbors meet each other and very soon become friends and then romantic partners. Tyler clearly falls for Leah as soon as he meets her and he treats her so well. There really are no complications keeping them from falling in love and acknowledging that. That was rather refreshing - no author-created plot developments to stop two people who love each other from deepening that relationship. There are some outside, peripheral problems, but mostly this is a story of two good people falling in love.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I've read almost all of this author's books and I've loved every single one of them, so I always look forward to a new release from her! I was really excited when I received an ARC of this book that I bumped it right to the top of my TBR list and started it as soon as I had finished my current read! After reading this book, I can say that I loved it a lot! The plot kept me desperate to read on and find out what was going to happen next and it developed at the perfect pace! There was a lot of romance in the plot too and I loved the pace it developed at and that the characters didn't jump into a relationship and got to know each other first! The romance allowed for a few seriously hot scenes between the two main characters too! There was a bit of action and suspense in the plot too, but I would have loved for this to have gone on for longer and been a bigger part of the plot! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Leah was the main female character, and in this book she met her love interest under some very funny circumstances lol! I loved Leah in this book and she was very easy for me to connect with! She had a good job and provided for herself too! Leah was also very loving when it came to her love interest and she was always there for him and taught him a lot! Tyler was the main male character and love interest of Leah! I loved Tyler a lot in this book! As soon as he was introduced he was seriously hot and there was something very intriguing about him! I loved the way that Tyler was with Leah too! He was very attentive and protective of her and was very sweet towards her too! He always made sure she got home okay and it was easy to see his feelings develop into love too! I loved that this book was written from both Leah and Tyler's point of views! I was hoping that it was going to be because I think all of this author's books that I've read have been written from dual point of view! The synopsis of this book also makes it sound like it was going to be written from dual point of view, so I'm really happy that it was! It helped me connect more with Leah and Tyler and understand them better too! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, especially as Leah and Tyler didn't spend every minute of the plot together and were dealing with their own situations! I now can't wait to read the next book in this series! I can't find any information on the next book because there isn't anything on Goodreads and there wasn't anything at the end of this book, so I'm not sure who the main character is going to be! I can't wait to find out though and I hope that the next book releases soon! The cover for this book is also absolutely stunning! I love it a lot and it would definitely draw me to the book if I didn't already know the author's name! The cover image is also perfect for represent Leah and Tyler!

This one hit the spot. The initial meeting between Leah and Tyler was awesomely epic. Tyler snuck up on the Alpha side and never wavered in his pursuit of Leah. Wonderful build up of characters and great start to a new series. Can't wait to read more from ARR. #catchinghim #netgalley #boomisalive

Aurora Rose Reynolds can write anything even a grocery list and I’ll be there in a heartbeat to read it and more importantly she can write alphas like the ones I love! Her heroes are amazing and her heroines are sassy, quirky and awesome!
Tyler was perfect in very sense of the word and Leah was just equally amazing too. They were perfect for each other. I can not wait to read more from this author, after all she’s my favorite author ever.

Absolutely fabulous book...it has everything I need in a book. STRONG, super likeable characters, humour, romance, sexy times, a bit of mystery and strong family ties.
Leah is wanting love, but won't chase for it, Tyler isn't looking for love, but boy oh boy does he find it. These two are funny, strong, and open up about their feelings fairly early on. That doesn't mean the story is over, it is only just beginning...family dramas, a house break-in and a bit of alpha bossiness ensures this relationship has a few issues that are resolved in the end. Loved it so much

This is Aurora Rose Reynolds’ new How to Catch an Alpha series Book 1. Catching Him.
Leah and Tyler are an amazing uncomplicated couple.
The secondary characters her best friend, his best friend, the Detective and his sister I can see having their own stories and I'll read everyone of them. The other characters such as his family and her's, I loved as well. Usually Mrs. Reynolds give us a bit more angst and some grit to her stories. While I did miss it, and hope to see some in her next book, it was also refreshing and a lighthearted read. I still couldn't put it down and when I had too because of a pesky family and job I was not a happy camper
Definitely worth a read.

This was an sweet insta-love romance read. There's no other way to describe this story but sweet and funny with a touch of drama and a lot of steamy scenes. Leah and her cat Mouse, and Tyler and his dog Bruce will make you fall in love with them from beginning to end. I loved how Tyler stood up to his mom when it came to Leah. If you love Hallmark movies this book is for you. The story was sweet and the ending was even sweeter.

5 Stars!

Aurora Rose Reynolds has a brand new series out with Montlake and oh my goodness y'all, THAT is the way you open up a new series. An all-new contemporary romance standalone BOOM that'll steal your heart, give you all the feels, and leave you breathless in the very best possible ways... Catching Him is definitely making my top reads list this year plus who doesn't love THE perfect meet-cute.

Meet Leah and Tyler. She's just trying to get her escapee cat from the empty house next door until she realizes (A) it's not empty anymore and (B) she has an extremely hot, extremely annoying, extremely eager to spend time with her- new neighbor. He's totally attracted to her and wants to get to know her in every way possible. She's not so sure she is or should be interested in him, if only she can convince her traitorous heart and body of that. And as things start to heat up between Tyler and Leah (and they DO heat up *swoon*!), it's clear someone else isn't happy.

Sweet. Sexy. Fun. Swoony. Cute. Laugh out loud. Relatable. A touch of mystery and suspense to keep you on your toes. This book, this couple, this journey we're absolute perfection in the very best ways. I loved every moment and gah! they're have been so many good ones plus Tyler was.... delicious and so dang irresistible!

You get what you get from Aurora... an amazing cast of family and friends along with a couple that will come to mean a whole heck of a lot to you in every book she writes. ARR knows how to give the boom hard, fast, and perfect every time. She's unstoppable, unputdownable, and unforgettable in every single moment she writes.

I highly recommend this book.
