I've read all of the Shopoholic books and enjoyed them all. This one was no exception. Becky never fails to provide a good laugh with the crazy messes she constantly finds herself in. The Christmas angle will make for a good holiday read as well. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

Sophie Kinsella has done it again! Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is back to her old tricks and hosting Christmas (while dealing f with lots of obstacles along the qay). This novel is just as fun as all the rest, and reading it was like returning home and hanging out with an old friend. Love, love, love this book!

Oh Becky. What trouble can you get into today? Becky Bloomwood, a former financial writer who LOVES to shop, is hosting Christmas this year. Never mind this will be Becky’s first Christmas hosting and everyone has different ideas on how to make the perfect Christmas celebration. Becky is determined to make everything perfect and everyone happy no matter what. On top of everything else, an ex-boyfriend appears. In typical Becky fashion she finds herself in hilarious situations and must find her way out of them.

I have loved the Shopaholic series and Becky for years! I was so thrilled to receive an advanced copy before it is released on October 15th. While the last two Shopaholic books have been a bit of a departure as they were set in the US, Becky returns to the UK in this book. She is up to her same sticky situations when more boxes show up on her doorstep than she remembers buying and she hunts endlessly for the perfect present for her husband, Luke. I absolutely love reading what Becky will get into and love her ability to try to make everyone happy, even when it does not turn out as expected. The last page of the book made me squeal with happiness and I can’t wait to read more about Becky! If you have not read the Shopaholic series, I highly recommend it! You will laugh and shake your head fondly at Becky’s adventures. They are very light hearted books that will transport you into a world of fun!!!!

I got this as a ARC on kindle. I think it had a few glitches in downloading or something. This book was funny and totally relatable. If you've read any of the other shopaholic books you definitely dont want to miss this one.

Another fun Shopaholic book. I’m kind of surprised that there hasn’t been a Christmas themed book in the series until now. Long overdue.

Becky Bloomwood Brandon, the main character of this story and the shopaholic series has long been and enjoyable character to read about. She has a witty, don’t-take-herself-seriously personality that makes her life an adventure to follow. I think she’s what makes this story a winner.

In short, this story follows Becky’s quest to make Christmas day at her house a day to remember. Her parents usually host Christmas, but this year they won’t be able to. So everyone (sister, friend, and neighbor—plus their families, and her parents) is spending Christmas at the Brandon’s.

Throughout the story, Becky gets herself in some sticky situations that although harmless, left me wondering how she’d get out of them. Her reactions and remarks to things made me laugh and kept me turning the pages.

There weren’t any serious villains to the plot, just troublesome characters, but I like how Becky navigated through them and how the story wrapped up. I even think the surprise at the end could lead to a possible sequel (but it’s really just wishful thinking).

I would recommend this story to those who love chic-lit and want something cozy and humorous to read as the holidays approach.

This book was given to me by NetGalley for an honest review.

Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is at it again! She never fails to entertain with her dogged persistence to make things “perfect”! You can certainly read this as a stand alone book but once you finish you will want to read all the books before it! This saga that is easy to read and laugh out loud enjoyable.

In this latest novel, her family decides that Becky will host Christmas. She isn’t sure she is up for the task initially but soon finds motivation to plan for the big event. When she asks for the guests input, there is a WhatsApp chain that send her spinning trying to please everyone.

To confuse matter, her parents decide they will move to Shoreditch to rediscover their youth so that Becky’s sister, Jess and husband Tom have a place to stay during their visit. Coincidentally, Becky’s parents live next door to Tom’s parents. The ever-pleasing Becky sets about planning a holiday to accommodate her guests, including her uber environmentally cautious vegan sister.

Meanwhile, Becky continues to work for her best friend, Suze who is married to Turquin Cleath-Stuart. They work together in the family’s Letherby gift shop while their children are in school.

The story goes sideways when Becky has to juggle her job and planing for Christmas. Although she prides herself on her perfectionist mentality, it often sends her and those around her on a rollercoaster ride. Her life becomes more complicated when an old boyfriend, Craig Curton, comes to town. Becky reminisces her “edgy” youth partying with Craig and his band.

Typical Becky entertains us with her trials and tribulations of juggling too many balls in the air. True to form just when it seems like everything is bursting at the seams, things oddly find an equilibrium that is only possible for Becky.

This book was a perfect addition to the Shopaholic series. This is perfect for the holidays. Many familiar characters return but some new characters add to the stress of the perfect holiday feast. The overall mood for this book was funny. hilarious and whimsical. Rebecca Brandon ('nee Bloomwood) does it again and I eagerly await the next book in the series. I am seriously addicted to this series because it can appeal to any reader. A nice change from thrillers, horror and severe chick lit.

Thank you Net Galley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite authors ever. I have read the complete Shopaholic series many times. So I was so excited when I got to read this one ahead of time for review!!!

Becky Bloomwood has a shopping problem and while it still hasn't gotten better, it is manageable. What I love about this book is that the characters stay the same and they are all so supportive of Becky, no matter what shenanigans she finds herself in. This time she is living in a village and working at her best friend Suze's castle gift shop. Her parents are moving temporarily to a smaller, trendy place leaving Becky to try to shop for a huge Christmas party to please everyone. There is also some other exciting storylines which I will not give away.

These are so enjoyable, and so much better than the movie (although I wish they would redo it and make more). Do yourself a favor and buy the whole series, like now.

I received this book in exchange for review.

Oh Becky Brandon neé Bloomwood, it is nice to see you again. I think our break was necessary for a bit and now we can embrace our dear friend and see how you have grown and matured. Your heart is just as big as it ever was and we love you for it.

Another fun book from Sophie Kinsella. Reading Becky's adventures is like sitting down and wrapping yourself in a well loved and slightly worn blanket. I think at this point in my life I prefer Ms Kinsella's stand alone novels a bit more, but I love everything she writes!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. When is there a better time to read a holiday story than on the last weekend of summer? To be honest I broke up with this series several books ago but was able to get quickly caught up on my once beloved Becky. This story still follows the same formula as previous Shopaholic novels so nothing was shocking or unexpected.

Cherished. I don’t even have words to express how much I loved this book. Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is back. And better than ever! Another fun tale of Becky’s adventures, this time during the holiday season. When Becky is asked to host Christmas, life goes a bit haywire and in true Becky fashion, she saves the day in the weirdest and most wonderful way. All the characters we love are back, including another very lovable character and a character I really hated. Sophie Kinsella has really outdone herself and even though it has been years since the last Shopaholic book, it felt like no time had passed at all. The book made me so happy inside and I couldn’t put it down.

First, I must say that I'm a long time fan of the author- Sophie Kinsella. I've read several books from the "Shopaholic" series (though I prefer her books outside of this series). I honestly do not remember main character Becky being this much of a mess in the earlier books, though. Was she? Because about 20% of the way into this book I thought with alarm- This woman is like the grown-up's version of Amelia Bedelia... It's just impossible to believe that this woman could mess up SO MANY tasks. And buy so many useless and un-necessary items!

The character of Becky has a lot of redeeming qualities. She's loving, generous, and kind, and the last dozen pages or so of this book are very heart-warming... all leading to a perfect ending. Truth be told, though, if I had been reading this book solely for my own enjoyment I probably would never have made it to the ending. I would have stopped reading around the 30% mark. It was just too over the top for me.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. My thanks to #NetGalley, the author and the publisher for this opportunity. #ChristmasShopaholic

So much fun! If you have readers who are hooked on Hallmark Christmas movies, this is the perfect book to recommend. Fans of the Shopaholic series will love this, because it is one of the better books in the lineup. Newcomers to Shopaholic won't be hampered by not having read previous titles -- it truly stands alone.

The most enjoyable book so far, in this series! I loved returning to this character and storyline after a break! These books are so fun!

I will definitely be recommending "Christmas Shopaholic" to my friends this Christmas (and will probably gift a few copies to people too). It is a fun, energetic Christmas story will all the right elements of the seasonal shopping fiasco! Every family experiences similar holiday challenges of what gifts to get, how to decorate, a menu that will please everyone and Becky goes through all of that and more. It is definitely all about Becky and includes her usual unrestrained spending habits only elevated to match the Christmas shopping frenzy and Becky's desire to try to please everyone. There are food planning disasters, family fighting and Christmas concert mishaps.

My two biggest critiques about the novel would be the setting and the predictability. When I think about the story, nothing about the setting jumps out at me or was particularly memorable, it seemed to fall short of the normal holiday ambiance one might expect in a Christmas novel. In addition, the events in the novel are predictable and maybe too much so for my taste. I like the silly, OMG moments Becky has, I am just not sure they need to be as predictable and foreshadowed as much as they are because it takes away from some of the humour.

However, despite my criticisms, I still would highly recommend "Christmas Shopaholic" to my friends this Christmas. It is festive and witty novel that brings a joyfulness to the crazy shopping season we all experience.

I also want to thank NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group for a chance to read and review this book!

After a few lackluster entries into the Shopaholic series, Kinsella is back on form with a genuinely delightful read. This was exactly the kind of comfort food I needed. Rebecca Brandon, nee Bloomwoood, is the same flighty but kind hearted heroine from before but she does seem to have made some bit of growth at least. She's a good person, a great parent, and seems to be finding her own way even if she's a bit too concerned with what other people think and as such makes weird spending decisions in effort to keep up with the Joneses. Though there are times where you just can't relate to the characters who are mainly unimaginably affluent and times when the story just didn't make any kind of sense (i.e. the hamster store scene) this book is like being wrapped in a warm blanket and given a fun escape from your daily life.

I always love a good Shopaholic book, and Kinsella's latest lived up to my expectations. It's laugh-out-loud funny, touching and since I'm also an avid on-line shopper, so relatable.

Thank you, Sophie Kinsella, for another entertaining read! Thank you NetGalley and publisher.
