This book was a good read in a good way. Involves travel, danger, mystery and adventure. I would say from all historical fiction I read this one was most surprising with how the story line was developed, and I kind of enjoyed it.

An enjoyable book about a heroine who has to travel to England to hear the reading of her grandfather's will. The journey was hard and dangerous, on her way she meets a young doctor, who helps her. The story continues with meeting highwaymen, wicked relatives until it is all sorted and ends happily .

I thought this was ok - which I realise is not faint praise
I think in these days of quite explicit romance novels this is a bit tame. There is probably a huge market for these and although the story was told well, I think I may just be more used to a little more action as part of my usual reading
A nice summer read
