I really enjoyed reading this book, it gave me a laugh when I needed it. It was well written and I enjoyed each short story as well.

Man is obsessed with wrapping singer-songwriter Roy Orbison in clingfilm. Man runs into Roy Orbison, manages to convince him to get completely wrapped up in clingfilm. Switch to a different setting (most likely somewhere around the city of Düsseldorf), and repeat.

One would reasonably think that this premise would get annoyingly tiresome after only a little while, but that is the beauty of this book - that never happens. Although the conclusion of each story in this collection is inevitable, the creative and bizarre lengths that are taken to get there, along with a dead-serious first-person narration that reads like an Ingmar Bergman production, will consistently leave one grinning like an idiot at the very least if not straight-out laughing. For anyone who just wants to enjoy some sheer ridiculousness, this is definitely absurdist humor at its very best.
