When she was 17 Linn was raped whilst very drunk and no-one was charged with the incident. She left the area, was married and moved to London but never really recovered from the ordeal.
Now 19 years later, after the death of her parents, she returns to her old home to find out the truth of what happened, meeting old friends and the policeman in charge of the investigation.
The story flits from one person's viewpoint to another, complete with flashbacks, which initially was confusing however it all starts coming together. The story is full of twists and turns, keeping me guessing all the way to the end. Definitely recommended if you enjoy thrillers with psychological undertones.

Linn is struggling with her past. Raped as a teenager, she marries her friend Oliver and moves away from her hometown. Now 19 years later, she is tired of not feeling anything. She decides to go back and find out who did this to her. Was it a stranger, as the police said or one of her best friends? Once home, she is starting to remember and questioning everyone. Someone is now harassing her or is she going crazy? I have to say I did not see the ending coming, was not who I expected. This was such a captivating mystery that I read it in one day. Very good!
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this as an ARC.

This hypnotic book was worth every single minute of sleep lost to the weary blue light of the omnipotent Kindle!

Tread lightly through this story, one littered with a minefield of duplicitous, sinister, and warped—but kind of quirky—characters. Keep up with the jarring back and forth pace of what Graham, Linn, and Anna have to say, for there are many who insist that their story must be heard. However, whatever you do, do NOT believe one word that anyone says and do not—DO NOT—open your door!

Chilling, wicked, slick, crazy, pulse-quickening, tight, riveting, shocking, thrilling... Stick a grammatically-correct "most" in front of some the aforementioned descriptors and slap an "est" on the end of the rest! Bar none, this one of my top favorite thrillers to date. Whoa! Damn... You've gotta read it! 5+ stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Impulse and Killer Reads, and C. K. Williams for an ARC of 'Flowers for the Dead' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
