This is a great book! I loved it. Wonderful characters and storyline. I can't wait to read more about these people.

Jessica is a young mother of a teenage daughter. She thinks her daughter is going down the wrong path, one she’s already been down. Jessica is a good mom and takes charge. She takes a job as a cook at a camp for troubled teens, that is known for turning them around. Unfortunately for the whole camp, she can’t cook at all. She tricked her way in, willing to bend the truth to save her daughter. Wade is the lead cowboy at the family run camp and he doesn’t trust her, his family hired her. Yes, he’s a hunk, a sweet sexy hunk in boots. Her exaggerations and his polite cowboy ways lead to a sweet fun romantic story.
I laughed so hard imagining these characters eating Jessica’s food. I may have looked disturbed. Warning don’t read this in public. :D
I just love Cindi Madsen’s characters, she always writes people I’d love to live next door to. I can’t help but care about them and that makes the story such a better experience.
Bravo Ms. Madsen, you did it again for this reader.

A Cowboy Never Quits is the first novel in the Turn Around Ranch series by Cindi Madsen. The series will focus on the people who work on the ranch and from what I have seen, they are all great people and I already have positive feelings and high hopes about them. The ranch is a place where kids who have been in trouble go and try to turn their lives around, hence the title of the series.

The story is mostly told from Jessica and Wade's point of view, but Chloe, Jessica's daughter, and Aiden, Wade's adoptive brother, also chime in. I wasn't a big fan of Chloe, to be honest, I couldn't understand her mother and why she would treat her so badly when as a reader I could see how much Jessica loved and cared about her. She redeems herself later and she is a teenager so she was forgiven. Aiden was much more likable from the beginning and the adults were nice too. Wade is too grumpy at first, but it was even sweeter when Jessica made him a decent human being.

I liked the story and how Jessica became a part of the ranch. Her cooking adventure had some ups and downs and it was a fun ride. The book is a very solid beginning for the series and it made me want to read the next books. I would definitely recommend it.

There’s no better feeling than kicking off a new year with the perfect read and with new beginnings and second chances on the menu at Turn Around Ranch—home to sexy cowboys, their huge-hearted extended family and teens who have lost their way a little—that’s exactly what this was for me.

“No one gets out of this life without making mistakes. Without a few bumps and bruises. It’s what we do about them that matters.”

Whilst I went in with high hopes having read the blurb, I had no idea just how fab A Cowboy Never Quits would turn out and that largely falls on the shoulders of the wonderful bunch of real, flawed characters Cindi Madsen has created. I loved stubborn, clumsy single mum, Jessica and the depth of her love for her daughter, I adored Chloe for her initial naïvety and for how she opened up and matured as the weeks rolled by, and I loved every brooding inch of Wade whose verbal sparring and flirting with Jess was not only funny, but full of sweet moments and sexual tension building that anticipation you know will be worth the wait.

“I’m just glad that I came here. That something amazing could come out of something that’d threatened to crush me.”

With so many layers to this story as it’s not only Jessica’s, but Chloe’s, Wade’s and his youngest brother, Aidan’s, I can’t wait to see what Cindi has planned for the rest of the series.

“There’s just something about cowboys.”

This excellent second chance story isn’t only about romantic relationships but familial ones, as well.
Jessica brings her 15 year old daughter to Turn Around Ranch to find that sweet girl underneath the angry, out of control teen Chloe has turned into. Becoming the ranch’s new cook is a wrinkle she’s rolling with, but certainly didn’t expect.
Nor did she expect to be attracted to sexy, by-the-books rule follower Wade Dawson. He’s against adding Jess and Chloe to the ranch but it doesn’t take him long to be both intrigued and invested in Jessica.
As much as Wade and Jessica’s budding romance tickled me, I so enjoyed the ranch itself and the concept behind it. Madsen wove real-world issues into this healing place for at risk teens without coming off as judgmental or hypocritical. It’s hard to take serious issue and meld them into any form of fiction, but particularly romance, which always ends in a HEA. For some in those situations, that isn’t always the case.
I’m making this sound much more serious and weighty than it actually is. I’m just trying to say that Cindi Madsen did a great job of combining all these elements into a fun, flirty and real romance that I would highly recommend to old and new fans of hers and the genre in general. This is a series I will definitely be back to read!

I loved the story between Wade and Jessica, plus throw in a secondary story between Aiden and Chloe. To get a glimpse into all four characters' minds is a bonus. I do not think I have ever read a book with four POVs before, but it worked and was never confusing. The sheer determination of Jessica to help her daughter was admirable. She was my hero throughout this book and one I cheered for the whole time. I loved her prove them all wrong attitude, there is nothing I cannot do pride, and don't let them see you weak mentality. She has been fierce since having Chloe at 16 and I truly adored her character. Then there is Wade, who comes off a little rigid and harsh at first, but his softer side comes out and he is a huge teddy bear. They were such a fun couple to read, and I could picture each scene perfectly. I hope to read more of these characters and get glimpses of Wade, Jessica, Chloe, and Aiden in future books too.

A Cowboy Never Quits by Cynthia Madsen is a wonderful contemporary romance replete with modern day issues and problems. In this modern day, keeping a ranch afloat is not easy deal. Turn Around Ranch is just such a place, a working ranch that caters to at risk youth, and caters well. It is home at any given time to 15 or 16 young people looking for a second chance, not always by choice. There is a resident psychologist, a visiting physician, a teacher, any number of cowboys, but sadly no cook. Jess saw her chance. He daughter needed this place badly and they needed a cook. She could make them see reason. Not to worry he biggest cooking accomplishment was mac and cheese from a box. How hard could it be. Wade, the oldest cowboy brother and the one in charge, mostly, was totally against it, but they had been without a cook for weeks and they were hungry, and he got voted down.

Jess was 31 years old; her daughter was 15. She was a very young mother and had done it mostly right, until recently when she accepted a promotion that meant more money and longer hours. She trusted Chloe. They had always communicated well, but Chloe had gotten in with the wrong crowd and Jess had been late to notice, until she got caught in a "borrowed" car with her boyfriend who had been drinking and side swiped another car. The boyfriend reminded Jess of Chloe's father, the one who had run the minute the pregnancy was discovered. Things at the ranch developed slowly. Chloe hated it. Cooking was really harder than it looked. Wade's presence gave Jess feelings she hadn't had in years. The Dawsons were great and she was coming to respect the job they all did. This is contemporary at its best. Rife with real life and hot cowboys. I recommend it

The first book in Turn Around Ranch, A Cowboy Never Quits is an engaging romance. I enjoyed the character interaction, the multitude of emotions that weaves the pages of this fabulous story. I will be looking to read more.

Cindi Madsen’s A Cowboy Never Quits has wit, grit and a huge heaping of heart. This is the first story of Turn Around Ranch Series. I am glad that I was able to start with the series from the very beginning. The introduction to the ranch is well blended with Jessica and her daughters arrived and perspective.

Ms. Madsen is an author whose books I have enjoyed in the past. This time it in a ranch setting with a rural setting but still manages an urban feel thorough the teens that are at the therapy ranch. Also Jessica, main female character has much to learn especially in her new role there. That provided some funny but all too memorable for anyone learning to cook would understand. The romance between her and Wad are balanced with the ongoing struggles of the ranch.

This is a winner with an appealing plot and great characters. I look forward more happenings and romances as teens are helped there at the Turn Around Ranch.

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Cowboy Never Quits was just as good as I expected. I was drawn to the book by the cover and the blurb and I was not disappointed by the story. There is a lot going on in this book and it was hard to keep up with everything at times but it’s a great romance story and I look forward to reading more by this author.

4.5 stars.

This was a lovely, lovely read.

Here we have Jessica and Wade. She gets to the ranch in search of help for her teenage daughter; and Wade and his family run it.

Their first meeting wasn’t the best, but you could feel there were sparks between them. Wade particularly was a tough cookie to deal with, lol.

I loved these two, they had so much to give but it was all buried under huge responsibilities to their families. I could understand that, and it even made them great parent/son, but man, did they need a little ‘me’ time.

It was heartbroken to see the difficulties Jessica had with her daughter; and Wade carried so much on his shoulders. I loved seeing together, and how cute they were as a couple. I was So rooting for them to work things out in the end.

As usual Ms. Madsen delivers, this was a fun, lovely and great start of the series. And OMG I can’t wait to read more of these brothers!

Jessica is a single mom trying to make it all work with her 16 year old daughter Chloe. When Chloe starts acting up and getting in trouble Jessica is at her wits end and does not want to see her daughter make the same mistakes she did when she was that age. She takes Chloe to the Turn Around Ranch that has an excellent reputation for helping troubled teens. They make the 2 hour trip hoping there is a spot available in the program for Chloe. When they arrive they find out that there is no spot available, In a last attempt Jessica sees a posting that they are looking for a cook at the ranch so she makes a deal to do the cooking in exchange for her daughter to attend the program. Funny thing is she cannot cook and Wade Dawson one of owners sons and ranch hand is onto her.

Wade's job is to keep the ranch going to help the troubled teens. He is attracted to Jessica and admires her courage and determination in respect to getting her daughter the help she needs. The more he spends time with her the more intrigued he is by her. Wade finds himself falling for Jessica he knows she is only there for a short time and doesn't think it is fair to ask her to stay.

As Jessica progresses with her cooking skills she realizes she loves being at the ranch. She finds herself falling for Wade, they decided to make the most of her time at the ranch. Jessica secretly hoping Wade will ask her to stay.

Will Wade get up the courage to ask her to stay or will he let his past experience get in the way?

This was a great read. The characters drew me in very quickly and I found myself reading every chance I got. This is my first book by Cindi Madsen and it will not be my last.

A Cowboy Never Quits is the first novel in Cindi Madsen's Turn Around Ranch series, and it's also the first Cindi Madsen book I've ever read, but it most certainly won't be the last. Although this isn't the first equine therapy romance I've read, it's the first one without wounded warriors with PTSD. Instead it's young teenagers who need to go through the process, but it's also funny, charming, sexy, engrossing and sweet, and it gets 5 stars from this reader.

Jessica Cook, age 31, got pregnant at 15, the sperm donor boyfriend dumped her when she gave him the news, and she had Chloe when she was just age 16, determined to succeed in life and raise her daughter as a single parent. She and her daughter were more like sisters than parent and child, but now, Chloe is 15, and has started drinking, smoking pot, and when her disrespectful, drunk and high boyfriend steals a car with her in it, wrecks it, and Jessica sees Chloe repeating the same mistakes Jessica did as a teen, it's time for desperate measures, like enrolling Chloe in a correctional ranch for teenagers.

When we first meet Jessica, she and Chloe arrive at the Turn Around Ranch, and Jessica is begging them to take Chloe into the program, which is already full. It doesn't help that Jessica can't afford the fee, even if they weren't already full. As she is being shown the door, she notices that they are looking for a cook. She lies her way in, saying that she wants to apply the job, that she is a professional cook, and although Wade Dawson, the oldest of the the Dawson brothers, wants to say no, Jessica gets hired, with lots of stipulations, and they find room for Chloe, who isn't even speaking to her mother at this point. All Chloe wants is to go home and be with her manipulating boyfriend. Although I'm now a senior citizen, I remember what love at 16 felt like, and Chloe isn't a bad kid, just a young girl who fell for the wrong guy. Even after begging her mother to reconsider her "punishment," Jessica sticks to her guns, and gets hired.

The problems begin almost immediately because by breakfast the next morning, it's really clear that Jessica's idea of cooking is opening a can or making a box of mac and cheese, and now she's got to start cooking for 30 people, the campers and staff. It doesn't help that handsome cowboy, Wade, is onto her ruse, and he's just waiting for her to fail, since he was outvoted when the rest of his family voted to hire her, especially his mom, who's just recovering from a serious illness and really needs someone to take over the kitchen duties, and they've had no other applicants in months, so she's willing to hire Jessica without even checking her references.

One of the things that sets this novel apart from the other equine therapy novels I've read is that, at times, it's laugh out loud funny. Jessica is one sassy, smart mom, and she gives as good as she gets, especially with Wade, and the attraction between these two characters has a nice slow build up. She's determined to prove not only her cooking abilities, which are nil from the get-go, but her stamina, and her commitment to raising her daughter by setting her on the right path. When Jessica got pregnant as a teen, her parents abandoned her, and she had to make it on her own. She absolutely won't do that to the daughter she loves so much, no matter how hard it is to get through to her, and I couldn't help but respect her grit and her determination.

I also liked the fact that this novel is written with alternating points of view. While Jessica is dealing with her new job, she's still working at her other job in her free time via computer. Wade is torn between his attraction to the feisty Jessica and the strict rules of the ranch, especially because he's a rules guy, and getting involved with staff is definitely prohibited. We also get to see what Chloe is dealing with, from the panic attacks she's kept hidden, her attempts at communicating with her boyfriend back home, and her distress when he fails to respond to her messages.

If you're looking for angst, this novel has it in spades, but it also has its lighthearted moments as well. The hot chemistry between Wade and Jessica, as well as Chloe's growing friendships with other campers, her horse, and her growing friendship with and attraction to the youngest and newly adopted member of the Dawson family, Aiden, make for one engrossing, sweet, sexy, funny, sad, dramatic, and heartfelt read. Ms. Madsen has herself a new fan in this reader, and I can hardly wait to read the next novel in this series.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

A Cowboy Never Quits is the first book in the Turn Around Ranch series by Cindi Madsen. Jessica is a single mom of a teenager that has gotten in trouble. Because Jessica had her own issues as a 16 year old, she is determined, desparate even to not let her daughter make the same mistakes. As a result, she takes her to Turn Around Ranch and begs the to take her daughter even though they do not have any openings. She is even willing to be the cook for the ranch to get her daughter in. Her time as the cook is hilarious which balances out the seriousness of watching your daughter learn from her mistakes. Great mom daughter relationship even though they are going through tough times.

Wade is the oldest son and in charge of Turn Around Ranch. He is a rule follower and a true cowboy. I really like his character. He was a balance of hard worker who loved helping the teens and dealing with his feelings for Jessica.

The author even gave us the point of view of Chloe which was very well done. As an adult you want to smack her in the beginning but seeing her point of view helped us to really love her and cheer for her.

The secondary characters added depth to the story. When Jessica and the counselor tried to have a girls night their conversations had depth. And Aiden, he is so sweet, and watching him trying to do the right thing when his instincts want to do and say the wrong things.

Sexual content – lots of chemistry, a few sexual references, and a couple physical scenes. The story is way deeper than just a romance. It is about a single mom trying to save her daughter from making the same mistakes she makes. How hard it is to watch someone make bad decisions.
Drinking – she tried the moonshine,
Language – there was one F word. And a few four letter words.

There were a few things I liked about A Cowboy Never Quits before I even clicked on the very first page of the story. Yeah, sometimes cover blurbs do draw me into a story. The idea of a ranch for teens that are troubled, acting out, or in actual trouble right now and need help, understanding, guidance from people who are not their parents is something that is actually needed (and probably exists in this world, somewhere) and to see how that would work out intrigued me. The second is a simple fact in that cover description – Jessica has a teen-age daughter, Chloe – which means this is, if not a true Seasoned Romance, then at least a story about people no longer in that fresh bloom of youth. And I, quite frankly, find that I am looking for more and more stories about couples beyond their 20s… not that I don’t still read those, I do but because I’m looking for life experiences in heroes and heroines lately in my reading choices.

What I discovered once I started reading was an, at times intense story with characters who felt realistic, believable in their actions and their words. I could feel Jessica’s fears and frustrations over her daughter’s actions, and I could sense Wade’s troubled mind as he struggles to not only keep this ranch running but starting to deal with personal feelings he’d long thought himself beyond. I found myself falling into this world and liking what I found here.

The humor, represented differently in each character, was off the charts. I snort-laughed so much throughout this one. The Dawson family is such an amazing group of people brought together in a way that made them feel as close as neighbors and I wanted them all for best friends. Yes, there are some moments that either Jessica or Wade (or both) could have earned a stern talking to… but, hey, it was so realistically portrayed that the feeling of “what are you doing!” wasn’t as strong as it might have been. In all, I had a fantastic time with A Cowboy Never Quits and I’m definitely on board to follow the rest of this series.

Such a sweet book about second chances - from life and from going easier on yourself. Jess' teen daughter, Chloe, gets into trouble, and she gets them out of the city to Turn Around Ranch to try to get Chloe help. They both end up pushing their boundaries and discovering a lot about themselves and each other, all while learning about ranch life and a couple of cute cowboys. Wade and Jess start out bickering but develop incredible chemistry.
The characters were lovable, the setting was beautiful, and the story backdrop of a ranch to help troubled teens was interesting. Another great book from Cindi, and I look forward to more of this series.

It’s been a while since I picked up a cowboy romance and one that was good. A Cowboy Never Quits was a little slow at a few spots for me but other than that it was a really good book. I loved how Cindi did the point of views and we got different perspectives on the story.

This was a sweet, slow burn with lots of sexual innuendo and smoking chemistry. It was filled with tenderness and swoony moments as well as a little angsty tension to make for a great all around romance.

Cindi has become one of my new favorites and I can’t wait to get more of this series.

I'm so in love with a Cowboy Never Quits. It's such a heartwarming story filled with love and family. The mother daughter duo of Jessica and Chloe is fabulous. I love how close they are and how they work hard at getting their relationship back on track. It takes a Ranch and a few cowboys to help these ladies out and you will just love every moment of this. I love the gruffness of Wade. The banter between Jessica and Wade will make you giggle and swoon. Their chemistry is red hot. Then you have the sweetness of Aiden that will make your heart just swell with how he treats Chloe and just make you fall in love with young teen love. This book is just a wonderful start to the Turn Around Ranch series and I can't wait for more of the Dawson boys and watch them fall.

This is a story about forgiveness and second chances. Jessica is willing to do anything to save her daughter Chloe from heartache. That includes becoming a cook on a ranch with no experience. Wade is a tough cowboy who likes to live by the rules. When Jess and her daughter arrives at the ranch he sees his life being turned inside out. He is outvoted by the members of his family and they get to stay. This is a multi level love story between Jess and Wade as well as between the teenagers Chloe and Aiden. Both relationships start out rocky, goes to friendship and then love. The story is filled with funny moments as well as heartfelt serious ones. It shows how one has to let go and trust as well as a family can be made up of all the people we choose to love.

A laugh-out-loud romance!

Wade's family owns the Turn Around Ranch that helps troubled teens and Wade has to be the strict one as everyone else in his family has a soft heart. Jessica was 16, pregnant and on her own and even though she had very little money, her and her daughter Chloe were happy. But now that Chloe is 15, she has fallen in with the wrong crowd and got herself in trouble with the law. Jess doesn't want Chloe to have the hard life she has had, so she takes Chloe to the Turn Around Ranch so they can help her daughter. Jess has to talk her daughter's admittance into the ranch (as they are full at the moment), by agreeing to be the cook that the ranch so desperately needs. The only trouble is ... Jess kinda fudged her resume and she doesn't really know how to cook! But really ... how hard could it be cooking breakfast and supper for 30 people everyday?

I loved this book ... there were times I was laughing so hard there were tears running down my face. The antics that Jess got herself into were hilarious. And then there's Wade ... who wouldn't love a tall, dark and handsome cowboy? When Jess got stuck with her car and she had food in the truck and Wade came to help to out ... OMG I was loosing it! I also enjoyed the side romance of Chloe and Aiden ... and I hope they get their own book! This is a great start to a new series and I highly recommend it!
