She, herself doesn’t care for champagne, France or anything at all, the death of her husband has colored everything grey. Still, while she’s there, Rosalyn uncovers letters that tell a remarkable story, the story of the women and children who hid in the tunnels under the countryside during World War I. Hiding from the Germans, a few brave women snuck out to tend the grapes that gave the region its famous name. Told from different viewpoints in different eras this book was fascinating and revealed a part of history few know about
