Loved this book. The setting is perfect for a Christmas-themed story, and the characters were wonderful. This book would make a great Christmas movie. I’ll be looking forward to reading more from this author.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Always a pleasure to read Nancy Thayer. I really enjoyed the relationships that developed and that they weren't just romantic. The romance took a back seat, which was a nice change. As always, the author did a great job of showing the setting of the story, I felt like I was in that cold, dreary shop.

Ballantine Books and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Let It Snow. I was under no obligation to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

Christina Antonioni is preparing her Nantucket toy shop for the onslaught of holiday shoppers, when her landlord threatens to shut her down with a rent hike. Will the woman keep her holiday spirit alive through friends, new and old? Will Christina, along with her fellow shopkeepers, come up with a way to make everyone happy?

Readers that are looking for a holiday romance will certainly find one in Let It Snow. This is unrealistic and completely rushed from the first connection to love, but this is in keeping with many romance books. The book was completely predictable from beginning to ending, which is unfortunate. Character motivations are not fully explained, just taken for granted. On a positive note, I did like the setting and the careful attention that the author pays to the details of life in Nantucket during the off season. For these reasons, I would be hesitant to recommend Let It Snow to readers other than ones who like clean romances.

Her toyshop on Nantucket did booming business during the Christmas season, and Christina Antonioni loved the energy and excitement of the shoppers. It was rare that a young girl would come in alone, so Christina’s senses were on high alert, and she caught the girl pocketing a mermaid sticker book. Offering the girl a job, she was surprised when she actually showed up to work. Christina had gotten her fellow merchants to donate some things for the girl, called Wink, and she was pleased that Wink liked them.

When the fashionably dressed woman swept into the shop the next morning, Christina was stunned when the woman rudely returned the items Wink had been given the day before. After the woman left, the man that had accompanied her apologized, and Christina was captivated by his looks and his charm. She agreed to have dinner with Andy, even though she felt there could never be a future between them, and was pleasantly surprised that she had had a wonderful time.

I liked Christina’s strength and caring nature, as shown in her compassionate treatment of Wink and courage in facing up to her problems. Andy has a strong sense of duty, being the only son of a very wealthy man, and yet he loves Nantucket and wants to do something towards their conservation efforts. The storyline is predictable, with the expected HEA, but even so, I found Let It Snow to be an engaging and easy read.

The holiday season is a busy one for the shops on the wharf in Nantucket. Christina, owner of Nantucket toy shop, is preparing for last minute shoppers when herScrooge of a landlord, Oscar Bittlesman, raises her rent. It seems nearly impossible for Christina to continue business on the wharf. Even so, Christina hopes there is a warm heart underneath Oscar's steely exterior. When she bonds with Wink, his sweet, young granddaughter who frequents the shop, it becomes clear that perhaps he isn't so cold after all. And with the help of Wink's uncle, who happens to be a charming and very handsome bachelor, this may be the best Christmas any of them could have ever imagined. review: I read this book to get in the Christmas spirit and, let me tell you, it did the trick! Nancy Thayer does such a great job of creating an enchanting Nantucket at Christmas time. It's a great meet-cute story that I could see becoming a Hallmark movie. While it was a bit cheesy and predictable at times, it was a great book to cuddle up with by the Christmas tree! Definitely add this to your list for next holiday season! rating: 4 out of 5 ⭐️

Great holiday read! This will be a Hallmark or Lifetime movie in the future. Love is found through hardship, a Scrooge like character and Wink, a sassy young girl.

I just feel like the holiday books keep getting worse and worse. I love Christmas Novels, but this one just was boring. I didn't connect or honestly care about any of the characters.

I was excited to read a cheesy christmas book similar to Hallmark Christmas movies. This book was okay. It was a cute story, but a little too cheesy and unbelievable at the end. But I guess that's what we expect when we pick up a book like this.

I've read another book by Nancy Thayer, and I just don't think I like her writing style. The dialogue and writing around the dialogue is a little underdeveloped and forced.

*Thank you to Netgalley, Random House, and Ballantine Books for the ARC, for which I have given an honest and unbiased review*

Cute cozy romance! This was a fun festive holiday read reminiscent of a Hallmark movie. Nantucket, a toy shop, a sweet little girl, a grumpy old man, a handsome bachelor, quirky friends, and a main character with a big heart. A little cheesy, a little cliché, but sometimes that’s just what I need. A cozy, cute, sweet, Romance that made me smile.

Definitely a fun Christmas romance and right up my alley! I absolutely adored Wink and the characters in general with this one. There were parts that weren't perfect for me, but overall the story was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love a good Christmas story, I always expect them to be cute, heartwarming and corny, but this one was just too much for me. I enjoyed the setting and two of the characters, Wink and Mittens, but other than that this book fell completely flat for me.

The writing was elementary, the characters were severely one dimensional and underdeveloped and the plot was completely unbelievable. There were too many unrealistic elements to this story that it was really hard to become engrossed in, paired with bad writing it was just not a hit. It was like all of the corniest bits of every Hallmark movie were taken and jammed into one 272 page novel.

I think this will absolutely be a hit for some, but for me this went from a cute Christmas story to an unrealistic fantasy novel where the characters did not act like real people and where the plot didn't make much sense.

I would recommend this one for people who just want a really light holiday read and do not care about it being believable, this would be perfect, but for those who like their holiday stories with a little more substance, I would skip this one.

Nancy Thayer writes family drama and escapades so well that it makes you relate your own family situation to each of her stories. Let it Snow will keep readers warm in the cold winter.

This was not a good fit for me....I'm not exactly sure why.

It was ok, but not great. It was a great premise, however the execution did not work for me....I would still read Nancy Thayer again.

Christina Antonioni loves Nantucket and her toy shop. She has a small group of other shop owners, all of whose businesses are in not-well-maintained sheds along the water in the town. Because of their proximity and because of their similar feelings about the sheds they use as stores, the small group of four has bonded completely. Then, the worst possible thing happens. The rich man in town, Oscar Bittlesman, their landlord, notifies the group that he will raise rents on the sheds by 10%, which means they will all probably have to close. Christina also has other changes going on in her life. After seeing a young girl pilfer a small object in her store during a visit, Christina confronts her and learns the girl, Wink, is only trying to make her holiday a little bit brighter because Wink’s parents are divorcing and Wink has been uprooted from her home to Nantucket. True to form, Wink is part of the Bittlesman family, and she has an unmarried uncle, Andy, who likewise becomes a big part of Christina’s life. Somehow, this all fits in together to giver a well-done, fascinating story in line with the holidays and all they represent.

I became interested in Christina’s story from the start. It was interesting to watch her prepare for the holidays, provide much-needed support for Wink and her shed friends, while still managing to spend enough time with Andy to captivate his heart. The characters were well developed and were right at home in this tale. I never cease tire of the author’s books on Nantucket, as all are well written and filled with some of the island’s history, people and culture. Readers of Nancy Thayer’s book will enjoy this one, as it does not disappoint. It provides a great holiday read. I received this from NetGalley to read and review.

Very much a holiday tale with a cranky landlord wanting to rasie the rents of small shed shops on the wharf on Nantucket. Christina is all about her toy shop and finding the right gift for the right kid. When a lonely young girl named Wink comes in, she get together to provide her with a few Christmas treats. Her handsome and wealthy uncle makes an appearance and Christina is smitten. Nice to see how everyone pulls together during a time of need during the holidays.

Let It Snow is a charming, cozy holiday tale set on Nantucket Island. Christina, the feisty protagonist, owns a small toy store in a row of converted sheds that house small businesses. When a 9 year-old girl slips something into her pocket under Christina's watchful eye she is introduced to Wink-the granddaughter of one of the wealthiest businessman on the island. Wink's parents are going through a painful divorce and she develops a close relationship with Christina-and so does her single uncle. Christina, having lost her parents, is eager to show someone the true meaning of Christmas-but is she going to have her heartbroken instead?

Let It Snow is the first Nancy Thayer novel I have read and it will not be the last. This Christmas-themed story is sweet without being too saccharine and will definitely put you in the holiday spirit. I
