The perfect holiday romance. There’s engaging children, colorful locals the prerequisite Scrooge, and the perfect Christmas setting. I liked that these characters, all of them, held back from going to the next level before they worked out their issues. Touching with just the right amount of cheer.

I never miss a novel written by Nancy Thayer.
I enjoy her writing and I love reading about Nantucket!
Let it snow is a lovely holiday story centered around Christina, her friends and co workers, and a wealthy family who had recently made their home on the island.
The book was fun to read and had a happy ending.

A lovely Christmas story. Warm, romantic and entertaining. Set in Nantucket and the town plays a prominent role in the story. I very much enjoyed it.

Loved this sweet Christmas romance set in Nantucket. This is a Hallmark syrupy romance between a local shop owner and a rich bachelor. While predictable, I liked the story and the chemistry between the main characters.

Christina owns a toy shop in Nantucket that is a small shed on a wharf along with three other shops. All of them are cramped, unheated and in need of repair. Christina becomes friends with Andy, the son of the owner and landlord, Oscar. When Oscar informs the shop keepers that he is going to raise the rent, they panic and ask Christina to use her influence to talk him out of it. Add the nine-year-old Wink, Andy's niece and Oscar's granddaughter, to the story and you have the just the right mix to make this Christmas story perfect.

This was such a magical Christmas story! I absolutely loved this book! As soon as I seen it I fell in love with the cover! It's so beautiful! I loved all of the characters too. I think my favorite character was Wink. She was such an adorable 9 year old girl! She was always so honest and open about how she felt. She was also so excited about working in Christina's shop and she was so excited about Christmas. Hearing the happiness and excitement she had I couldn't help but be happy too! Christmas is truly such a magical time of year! I always feel like Christina....hoping for snow on Christmas because that makes it perfect! This book felt so alive that I could picture all the scenes as if I was there. My favorite scene was when they were caroling. So exciting. I am so thankful I got to read and review this book. Thank you Nancy Thayer, Ballantine books & Netgalley! I really enjoyed reading this book! Christmas was truly brought to life in this book. Merry Christmas!

This was chaste and sweet to the point of making my teeth ache -- it honestly did not read nor feel like a Nancy Thayer book at all! I've read many of her summer books and even a few of her winter books and this was different from all of them. It was just beyond wholesome to the point of making me roll my eyes several times. I would skip this one and head to her backlist for some really fun books.

Let It Snow comes out next month on October 9, 2019, and you can purchase HERE.

"Mom, I want to fall intro true, deep long-lasting love like you did with Dad."
"Not everyone gets that," her mother told her.

"We want to be sure you've got someone to take care of you," her father said.

Those were fighting words for Christina. "I can take care of myself!" she declared.

"Oh, honey, we know that," her mother told her. "It's the little things we worry about. Like who will bring you aspirin when you have the flue. Or who will meet you at the ferry after you've gone off for a day's shopping."
Christina's mother had a gift for knowing that the small, seemingly inconsequential things mattered.

I can easily see this novel being made into a Lifetime holiday movie, especially the scene where Christina is unexpectedly splashed from a burst pipe. It is strong on holiday spirit but not on depth of character. The ending is very predictable and the author wraps up all the loose ends in the last few pages. The amount of cookie baking and decorating left me hankering for Christmas cookies from my childhood but otherwise the plot is not rewarding enough to remember.

I would like to thank Net Galley for allowing me to read this advanced copy of this delightful book. The Publication date is October 15th

I have voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As Christmas nears and we are looking for a great read you need look no further than this book. It is set in Nantucket as the holiday is fast approaching. Four close friends who run small shops on the waterfront have been alerted to the fact that their rents on their shops is about to increase by 10 percent. They fear this will put them all out of business. What are they to do?

This book is full of island personality, characters you will love, relationships and all the things that we want in summer beach books. Plus, it includes the magic of Christmas. You feel yourself transported to Nantucket as you visit the sites of the town. Be prepared to want hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, a furry animal in your lap and a cozy blanket as you enjoy this story.

A delightful holiday romance that will warm your heart through the coldest of Winters! Toy store owner Christina lives in Nantucket. The kindness that she shows a young girl named Wink will set into motion a series of events no one could predict. This one random act will forever change both of their lives and the lives of their families as well!

I’m a sucker for holiday books, snow, and anything beach-related (especially Nantucket), so Let It Snow checks a lot of boxes for me.

Christina lives in Nantucket year-round, running a toy shop on the harbor. Both her parents recently died, and although she inherited a large house, she is struggling, both financially and emotionally. Meeting Wink, a poor little rich girl who attempted to shoplift stickers, introduces her to her wealthy landlord and his two children—attractive bachelor Andy; and his sister and Wink’s mother, Delia.

Christina suspects she’s falling in love with Andy, but their relationship is complicated when his father raises her rent.

This is a simplistic, formulaic romance. Andy seems too good to be true, and I kept waiting for a major revelation (other than the beautiful ex-fiancée and greedy father). The novel is saved by the appealing main character, Christina, her friends/fellow shopkeepers, winsome Wink, and the surprisingly nice Delia. A perfect novel for a snowy afternoon to get you into the holiday spirit—light and fluffy like a snowdrift or the whipped cream in your hot chocolate. #NetGalley #LetItSnow

A delightful, Nantucket holiday story that delivers a warm helping of the Christmas spirit along with some good salty sea loving. 5/5 stars for an enjoyable, merry romance.

I received an ARC of this delightful book. It is a wonderful Christmas story set in Nantucket. Very memorable characters and an enchanting tale. I loved it and couldn't put it down!

Let It Snow is a nice little romantic book that comes wrapped up with a bow. It was a typical "cute girl meets rich boy; cute girl doesn't want him for his money which makes him want her more; problem pops up with rich boy's dad; cute girl solves the problem; everyone lives happily ever after. I only gave this the 3 stars because of the 9 year old character in the book named Wink...she was the best part. Otherwise it probably would have been lower. There was too much else that was not believable and I may have actually rolled my eyes at a few of the lines in the book.

Feel good Christmas story about a toy store owner, Christina, who finds love with a handsome, rich, bachelor named Andy. I think the relationship is too quick to be believable, but miracles do happen at Christmastime! I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

This is a light-hearted/heartening Christmas story set in Nantucket. Shopkeeper Christina owns a toy store that one day brings a child into her shop that changes Christina's life forever. This young girl brings with her a family that includes a mother going through a divorce, a handsome uncle and a grouchy grandfather who also happens to be the landlord for the shops on the wharf. As this story unfolds you delight in the many characters involved in and around Christina's life. It is a story that makes you smile and yearn for the day you put up your Christmas tree to sit in front of the lights and, like this story, enfold you in the warmth of the Christmas Season. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and recommend this as a great book to read to remind one about the wonderful magic Christmas can bring into one's life. (I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.)

Let It Snow is a book set in Nantucket at Christmas time but it is a book that can be read anytime. Life isn't always easy in Nantucket but the people always come together for each other. The shop owners along the wharf call themselves the Shedders because their shops are sheds. When the man who owns the property, Oscar Bittlesman who is a real Scrooge decides to raise their rent, Christina goes to see him and offers him a bet, spend one hour in her shop and she will pay the increase and if he doesn't stay an hour she won't pay the increase. He takes him up on her offer and they set up a time for him to come and work at the store for an hour. He was cold, didn't want to be there but he wanted money more. His granddaughter, Wink, who is 9 years old and Christina had become friends since Christina offered her a job in her store so she could buy presents after being caught trying to shoplift.. Wink said to her grandfathers, you don't need more money, because you have so much money, you need friends because you have none. Her grandfather told her to get out of his house and she left crying.
The book will bring the town and the reader together to try to get Oscar to do the right thing for his tenents. It isn't about miracles, it is about everyday life and all that can happen when the small town comes together. It can turn the heart of stone into a heart that starts to beat to want to begin to be a better person. It can take two people who forgot what they really meant to each other and wanted a divorce to be a reminder that life together is what they truly want. It is about a 9-year-old girl who just brought life to those she met. It is a book I will remember and visit and revisit for years to come with the memories it left with me.
I received an ARC from NetGalley but it is a book I am not only going to buy but buy some for friends and family as a gentle reminder that life can be better, not to let their struggles get in the way of what is truly important.

This was a sweet entertaining Christmas story about life as an inhabitant on Nantucket. There are a group of 4 store owners called “The Shedders”. They are called this because their shops are housed in small drafty sheds on the waterfront. This group has become friends & are like a family.

Christina owns the toy shop & surprises a young lady named “Wink” when she tried to shoplift. This brings Christina to the attention of one of the wealthy families of the island & particularly the son, Andy. The chemistry was instantaneous between Andy & Christina but she really didn’t trust it. Can they find a way to be together? Can Christina ignore the fact that Andy’s father is raising her rent & may cause her to close her shop?

This was a nice Christmasy story will all the feel goods of a holiday classic. Wink’s parents are getting a divorce. Christina is trying to save the stores of the Shedders. Andy is trying to win Christina’s heart. Andy’s father is a curmudgeonly old Scrooge like grump. The ending was really sweet to read & tied everything up neatly.

I have read most Nancy Thayer library and adored them all. This one is fits right in there, but though a very nice read, not as compelling as some of the others. It is a sweet story of a group of locals whose livelihoods are potentially in danger by an uptight business mogul with the personality of rough sandpaper and who only cares about money and getting everyone in his sphere to bend to his wants and desires whether they want to or not. Money is what is most important to him and he constantly puts it ahead of everyone else including his own family. Cristina is a lovely woman who has lost everyone that she loves and is just trying to get through life further unscathed. All she has left is is her family home, the wonderful toy store she runs on the island and some truly wonderful eclectic friends she has collected and spends her days trying to bring joy bring joy to all who come to her store. She has compassion for all. Enter some new characters, a potential love interest, an adorable little girl named Wink who is going through some emotional upheaval herself, Winks mom who is so angry at the ending of her marriage that she takes her anger and hostility out on those trying to help. Through some us and downs all eventually works out in the end with a lovely HEA for some very nice people. This book is a perfect light lovely read.
