*I received a ARC of this book for an honest review* This is the first book I've ever read for this author and I typically read books with a lot more of a steaminess factor for romance, but what the author did with her character and setting description was so rich it made up for it. I'm a New England girl and the small coastal town feel of this book during a holiday setting was perfect and I absolutely loved her characters. If you're looking for a cozy holiday read this is perfect.

Christina Antonioni is one of four Nantucket shopkeepers whose stores on the wharf were originally fisherman’s shacks and, while they’re charming, they are also cold and crowded. Just before Christmas the landlord Oscar Bittlesman notifies the shopkeepers that their rents are being increased, sending everyone into a frenzy. And just before Christmas – Scrooge!

The story focuses on Christina, her relationship with the Bittlesman family – granddaughter 9 year old Wink, her mother Delia, her handsome and single Uncle Andy, and Oscar the curmudgeonly patriarch of the family. The other three shopkeepers, while not the main focus of the story, play a major role in the outcome of the conflict and are appealing, creative individuals.

I have never read Nancy Thayer before, a fact that I will soon remedy. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The interaction among the shopkeepers, the budding romances and the descriptions of the Nantucket locales kept me reading. Now all I have to do is figure out how I’m going to get to Nantucket for a visit.

Set in Nantucket a beautiful little town with personality you follow the local store owners on an adventure in love, frustrations, weather and water issues. You meet a little girl who will melt your head and a grumpy old man. Wonderful winter book.

Let It Snow is a quick, light read that is perfect to start off your holiday season! The story is a cute, feel good, lifetime-y Christmas romance. It was cheesy and predictable, but (as Lifetime/Hallmark Christmas movie popularity showed us) sometimes that is exactly what you need around the holidays!

Thank you to Random House and NetGalley for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Let it Snow is a sweet Christmas romance set on Nantucket. I liked the story although I found some of the characters annoying. Overall the story is a little slow in places. But I still love Nancy Thayer .

Another charming tale from Nancy Thayer on the isle of Nantucket. Christina is the owner of a children’s toy shop. She is single and her parents have recently passed. It is the Christmas season. A young girl comes in the shop and tries to shoplift an item. Christina catches her and arranges for her to help. She is unaware that Wink is the granddaughter of one of the wealthiest men on the island who also owns her building. Wink also has an attractive Uncle Andy who’s is also single. Thus begins a heartwarming story of family and Christmas, and finding your voice.!

This was such a good read. Nancy Thayer knows who to write wonderful stories. Four very different friends have businesses in sheds on an island that it gets very cold in the winter. They find out an older gentleman bought them all and raised their rents (which none of them could afford). The way they go about solving their problems was ingenious. Plus there was alot of romance in the air and island that was sweet. Even Harriet at times was sweet. I got this book from from NetGalley for an honest review. I loved it

Wonderful. Whimsical Christmas story about a Woman who uses her inner strength to find love and success to keep her business going.
A genuine heartwarming read with likable characters.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this as a Hallmark movie someday.

Another Nantucket adventure you do not want to miss. Yes, I loved this story of friendships, new and old, with a twist of romance, too. A truly clean sweet holiday story. I was granted an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley. This review is an attempt to share how much I enjoyed this story… so glad I was able to spend time with “Wink” and Christina and the rest of the characters in this story. Happy Reading !!

What a beautiful & heartwarming Christmas story. Full of love, joy, community and family. It was fun reading this on an extremely hot summer day!

I would have liked this book much better without the "inner Christina", it was very annoying. I found myself skimming through it to avoid inner Christina.

Let It Snow felt like I was reading a Hallmark movie. The beautiful Nantucket descriptions, the snowy and cold weather, the feeling of Christmas and some of the characters. I loved the friendship of the four shop owners for the most part and loved the character of Wink. Oscar was the predictable Scrooge like character in this story. What I didn’t care for was the rushed romances because they were not entirely believable. The relationships didn’t feel developed to me. Inner Christina was a bit much and Christina’s character came off a bit conceited at times. The cover of the book was beautiful and Christmas-y. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of the book to read in exchange for an honest opinion

What a great book. I can't say enough good things about this book I think the best thing in my mind was the setting, I can't get enough of Nantucket! I haven't been there yet but it is on my bucket list. The author did a great job of describing Christina's shop as well as her friends shops. I picture the Bittleman family being the typical older family that has resided on Nantucket for generations! The characters were well developed and it was worth reading. I will definitely recommend to my friends.

I've never been to Nantucket but Nancy Thayer always manages to take me there. I would love to visit in the winter and experience the holiday hustle and bustle and the Winter Stroll. A lovely holiday story. Predictable but isn't that what we love about these holiday feel good stories??

If you love a good heartwarming Hallmark movie-ish holiday romance book, Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer is going to be one you'll want to add to your reading list during the holiday season. It's the perfect, sweet and cozy holiday love story.

Again, to me it read very much like a typical Hallmark Christmas movie plot. When toy shop owner catches 9-year-old Wink attempting to shoplift from her store, she opens her heart to the girl which brings in the essential meet-cute with her rich and handsome uncle--- son of the man who owns the building in which her shop is located and who plans to raise her rent after the holiday. Now, if you've seen a lot of Hallmark movies, you know this story fairly well and can perhaps find it a little predictable to figure out the general idea of what will happen next. For some, that might not be your cup of tea--- but personally, I love this type of story. I don't care about the predictable or perhaps the occasional cheesiness, I enjoy these more lighthearted reads, especially during the holiday season. It was an enjoyable and quick read that was just up my alley.

One aspect of the story that I wasn't 100% sold on was that of the 'Inner Christina', which as the name suggests really was just Christina's inner conversation with herself. I didn't mind the dialogue of course--- I'm always having internal discussions myself so I get it. However, giving the name to it as such did seem a little distracting to me at times. Not enough that I still couldn't appreciate the story, but certainly something I could have gone without as well.

Because I primarily review Christian novels, it is important to note that this is a mainstream romance. However, it is for the most part one that I think even conservative readers wouldn't be bothered by. It does have a few curse words but they are quite minimal. If memory serves, I believe there were less than five even. While there were perhaps a few suggestive moments, it was still very clean. There was some kissing, of course and it was implied that more DID happen, it was never mentioned in detail, and even those mentions were minimal as well. Again, overall, I would still personally call it a clean read.

**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley. All thoughts are 100% my own.

This is a delightful, feel-good novel just in time for the holidays. Fans of Nancy Thayer will enjoy yet another story based in her beloved Nantucket.

Christina Antonioni inherited her parent’s Nantucket home where she runs a toy shop in one of the sheds by the shore with her fellow “Shedders”. Mimi runs a souvenir shop, Harriet has a couture shop while Jacob enjoys his interest in science selling kites and other aeronautical items.

As the group prepares for the busy holiday season they are informed that their rent is due to be increased dramatically making it impossible for them to maintain their businesses. Soon they plan and scheme to convince the landowner, Mr Bittleman, that an increase is unreasonable given the present unsuitable conditions.

Coincidentally, Christina develops a friendship with “Wink” a 9 yo girl who Christina confronts when caught shoplifting in her shop. They soon work out a plan for Wink to help out in her shop. That’s when to her surprise she discovers the girl is Winifred Bittlesman Lombard, the granddaughter of a wealthy family. Oscar Bittlesman has retired to his mansion on Nantucket where his family had come to visit and assist him.

Christina begins to have feelings for Andy Bittlesman, Wink’s uncle who lives in Brooklyn running his father’s brokerage firm. Meanwhile, Wink’s parents are going through a divorce leaving her mother Delia preoccupied.

The Shedders are determined to keep their shops open and productive during the holiday season. They also take on the task of spreading their optimism and good cheer to the elder Bittlesman who is dead set in his business decisions.

The group hope that Christina’s budding relationship with Andy will help persuade the curmudgeon to change his mind. Will they be successful in softening the crusty old man’s heart during the season giving?

I enjoyed this holiday time book set in Nantucket. I enjoyed the romance with the main character has not only with a man but with his niece and other members of his family. It was fun to read about life of a small business owner and the struggles that she and her fellow small shop owners had and how they rallied together.

If you are looking for a read around Christmas time this would be a perfect one or if you want something to get you in the holiday mood!

I love the Christmas season, and Christmas novels are a big part of that. I start reading them in the fall and right up until Christmas. They always make me feel so good and warm. This book was perfect.

The characters were lovely and I was able to relate to them, the setting was warm and interesting, and I got so absorbed in the story I didn't want it to end.
