This was such an intriguing book. There are a lot of twists and turns. Just when you thought you understood what was going on the storyline took another turn. I loved this book very much. It kept me engaged throughout the telling of the story. The writing is flawless. Once again Mary Burton proved she is a master storyteller. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own

This book was definitely not what I was expecting. It was better. Edge of your seat thriller that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Although it's a standalone book, I'm definitely going to be reading the first if it's just as good as this one.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A suspense novel of the highest order from a master of her craft.

A 911 call by a distraught man, he’s been stabbed, his wife and daughter both abducted by a masked intruder, their bedroom is awash with blood. And so begins the hunt for the two missing females.

After a tip off to a disgraced reporter, Nikki McDonald, the discovery of a human bones has Special Agent Zoe Spencer putting her skills to use in the attempts to identify the victim. With no DNA available due to the bones having been burnt and the teeth removed, Zoe is the only hope now into a positive identification. And it is that identification that connects the two cases together. The young lady that Zoe’s reconstruction identifies was a woman who had gone missing years before, the sister to the woman that has been abducted by the masked intruder.

As Zoe and Alexandria homicide detective William Vaughan join forces and cases they begin delving into the Foster family, what actually happened that day Hadley and Skylar were taken, and the connection to her sister, Marsha Prince, who disappeared eighteen years prior.

This is the second book in the criminal profiler series featuring Zoe Spencer and her masterful talent of facial recreation sculptures. Thankfully it reads as a standalone as I haven’t read the first book, Hide and Seek, as of yet as I was unaware it was the second in the series! Book 1 has now been added to my tbr pile! The relationship between Spencer and Vaughan was as good as the plot, both worked unbelievably well and as always Burton writes a mean seduction scene! As to the who done it element, I had that figured out well before the reveal, however it didn’t take any of the enjoyment out of the reading.

If you have read a Mary Burton book before then you will know what to expect and won’t be disappointed. If you are new to her books then this one is a good place to start and it will have you digging into the back collection of her earlier work.

Murders, mysteries, secrets and lies, add to that a light touch of romance and you have the ingredients that have come together to bring you Mary Burton’s new novel, I See You.

I See You will be published on 08 October 2019 and is available to preorder now. It will also be available to read for free with Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited.

Thank you to the author Mary Burton, publishers Montlake Romance and NetGalley for my copy of this boo in exchange for an honest and independent review.

I See You is a page turning mystery suspense with a light touch of romance. A reporter is given a tip, acting on this she is lead to a chest with the remains of a skeleton inside. FBI agent Zoe Spenser, using her skills and special technology is able to reconstruct the facial features leading her and homicide detective William Vaughan to discover this is a missing woman from years previously. So an investigation begins whilst Vaughan also has the murder of a prostitute to investigate.
This story is one of family secrets with a cast of well rounded interesting characters and the old and new cases coming together.
A story I really enjoyed , particularly in part to the two main characters, very likeable and well written. I did work out who the culprits were, but that was luck on my part!
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

A reporter gets a tip to go to a storage unit and open up a trunk. She has found a young woman that has been missing for over ten years. However, some of the evidence is the same as a young prostitute that was killed recently, so is there a serial killer in the area?

I think this is best Burton book so far. A great novel with lots of twists and turns!

Another great read by this author. Full of action, suspense, mystery, and just the right amount of romance. Zoe and Vaughn have a complicated case that seems to spiral into several cases. I guessed the ending ahead of time but there were a lot of surprises that had me doubting myself until the end. There were a lot of intriguing characters in this one.

Zoe Spencer is a FBI agent and makes sketches and bust off murder victims. Several years ago a nineteen year old girl went missing and a reporter gets a tip to find a trunk. When she opens it, a skeleton is inside, it the remains of the missing girl. William Vaughn is a homicide detective and has had an on again/ off again relationship with Spencer. Now they are working together to find out who killed the woman. While they are working on the case, the girls sister and niece disappear too. It’s a race against time to find them before it’s too late.
Awesome story with plenty of action and suspense. A single dad and a woman who started out to be a ballerina but ends up a FBI agent. First time reading this author and I couldn’t put it down.

FBI agent Zoe Spencer may use the latest technology to help her recreate the faces of murder victims after they have become little more than bones, but she forms a strong bond with each sculpture, each victim she brings to life. Her latest sculpture is that of a teenage girl who disappeared a decade before and Zoe is determined to find justice for the girl and her family. Her search brings her in close contact with detective William Vaughan, her friend with benefits where the two discover they aren’t looking into a cold case after all, as it appears the killer is still active. Burton is in top form in her latest thriller

Story starts off with FBI profiler Zoe Spencer identifying a murder victim from 2001 using Forensic facial reconstruction. You think that's going to be the main plot of the story but boy does the train derail. As Zoe and homicide detective William Vaughan start digging into the past, that past comes crashing into the present bringing more murders and shocking revelations. Twist and turns are abound.

I love Mary Burton's romantic suspense novels. This is my 18th read from her and will not be the last. I truly enjoy her writing and find her characters and stories interesting. The she tends to write a procedural with a little romance thrown in.

This is the second book of her Criminal Profiler series, though both can be read as stand alones. This story features FBI Agent Zoe and Detective Vaughn who knew each other prior to this case. They are working together on an old case that ends up tying into new cases. The story ends up being one of family secrets, pasts coming back, murder, and young psychos.

I will say that Zoe did not captivate me as much as Mary Burton's other heroines. However, since romance is not the the main story it did not deter from the story at all for me.

I have read every book that Mary Burton has written and have enjoyed them all. This is a romantic suspense with a good story line and characters that you can like. I figured out who did it about half way through the books but I have been reading mysteries over 60 years, starting with The Bobbsy Twins and Nancy Drew. This book has lots of twist and turns and kept me reading to the end
