Mary Burton writing style and story lines can be dark at moments but the romance is what keeps the story from taking over the darker side of life. The characters are older, flawed but want to find out the truth.

The story has readers wondering about Nature vs Nurture that creates killers. As well as a parents love for their child.

I see you just uses enough Profiler and psychology to keep readers interested without boring them.

The story move quickly, the romance has been going on for a while so while they hop into bed it isn't unexpected, story flows keeps a good pace.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Montlake for the advance copy of Mary Burton I See You

I have always loved Mary Burton's books they have lots of suspense with a bit of romance .This book although was a good book it was a bit slow for me. It wasn't a quick page turner. I did enjoy reading it had lots of different stories going on that kept you interested. Decent read not my favorite of Mary Burton's but really I don't think this author can write a bad book.

This is another in a series of the Criminal Profiler books. Always a good story with solid mystery and interesting characters. Well done and I am looking forward to reading more from this author. I received an e-book from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

Zoe Spencer, an FBI criminal profiler is able to recreate the faces of unidentified murder victims. As the face she is working on is identified as a missing girl from a decades old cold case, Zoe is determined to find the killer. The case has her working again with detective William Vaughn, who is also her former lover. When the murders start again with “look a-likes”, Zoe and Vaughn are pressed to find the killer. A good romantic suspense that Mary Burton is known to write. Thank you Netgalley and the publisher Montlake Romance for an early copy of this book. I voluntarily read this book and the comments are my own.

Mary Burton is an author I don’t even bother reading the description before buying! And she has not disappointed me yet. FBI special agent Zoe Spencer and Detective William Vaughn, come together to work a case that happened awhile back. With a burned skeleton head, Zoe recreates the face of a young lady who disappeared when she was 19. Both agents go to the sisters house and share the news. From the start of this book to the end, there is no stopping the twists and turns that come up in finding the killer(s). As new information comes out, a twisted family history comes to light. And the agents have to wonder, who is telling the truth. Absolutely loved this book!!

This was an edge of your seat suspense novel, it grabbed me from the first page and never let go. The author led you down so many paths I couldn’t figure out who did it. Just when I thought I had it figured out the author switched directions. Thank you to net galley for a copy of this book.

Another well-written, solid mystery/romance by Mary Burton. Hooked from the beginning. Definitely recommend this fast- paced book. This is a great series (I loved that last one Hide and Seek) and this latest installment did not fail to deliver. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you #netgalley and #montalkeromance for the eARC.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. This I believe is part of a series, but reads well as a stand alone. This is a convoluted murder mystery than spans many years. I liked Zoe and Vaughn. I thought Nikki was a crazy fool. Zoe is basically a FB I artist/does facial.reconstruction. Good book. I enjoyed it a solid 4.

Thanks to Netgalley and Montlake for a sneak peek at this new thrilled from Mary Burton.

From page one of I SEE YOU I was hooked. I love a good police procedural but this book was so much more.
The title I felt was a metaphor. We all see the wonderful, great American family living next door to us. But do we really know what goes on behind closed doors?

Great writing and just enough pacing to keep the tension building highlights this work by Mary Burton. I highly recommend it.

Complicated!

Twisted!!

Non stop action!!!

I must say that I did figure out part of the who dun it. And was a wee bit miffed at that out come. There are multiple layers to this story.

Zoe was pretty badass and I liked the dynamic of her & Vaughn.

As I have been on a binge of this author I’m looking forward to more in this series.

I SEE YOU...Mary. Burton
Zoe attention to minute detail’s with each facial reconstructions she does. Wanting to restore the murder victim’s identity and get justice for them. This bring Detective Vaughn back into her life, and together they go to the sister’s home. The husband knew what had happened a decade ago, thier girl Skylar didn’t, The plot takes off, and there are many twists, to come to a surprising end, of how they were connected. The author has given us a personal look as Zoe risks everything to bring justice to this face, that now has a name. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Net.Galley and Montlake

This story is one heck of a rollercoaster ride . Special Agent Zoe Spencer works for the FBI Criminal Profiler Division . Her specialty is forensic sketches and or sculptures . She is tasked in reconstructing a burnt skull that was discovered in a trunk by Reporter Nikki McDonald the king out a tip .
Together Zoe and Alexandria Homicide Detective William Vaughan reopen a cold case of a Missing persons no longer missing . Little do they know what a can of worms is opened . This is one of the best page turning thriller - romance I've read . Absolutely a must read . I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy as much as I did .

This book was definitely not what I was expecting. It was better. Edge of your seat thriller that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Although it's a standalone book, I'm definitely going to be reading the first if it's just as good as this one.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
