I loved every second of this story. I was addicted to RVD words and believe me when I say addicted I mean I couldn´t stop to read. I finished at 3 am. I was already goner while reading the blurb which immediately made it for me to a must-read. I fell in love with Bridge because he was just so easy to understand but intelligent and all the way gentleman. I wish for Isobel to be a stronger person but into this story, her character fitted incredibly well. While Isobel lost her family and tried to please everyone she somehow forgot to take care of herself and her own needs. Anyway, I love RVD writing, the way she emphasizes feeling through her words and brings her thoughts on paper is just brilliant.

Needed some RVD escapism in between all the business books I'm reading and this came up on the NetGalley list. We've got Bridge, the stronger twin that was set aside so his father can take over the weaker twin, Julian. We've got Isobel, Julian's fiancee, that Bridge needs to convince he's Julian in order to help save his mother and the family's business. Meanwhile, Bridge and Izzy fall for each other. The twin swap certainly helped jump start the romance -- and you're led to think this is what living in a Trump world might be like -- and, like I said, I was looking for a distraction from the real world. This certainly helped.

Being a diehard RVD fan, I’m always eager to read her books, and I have to say that somehow this one had a different feel. This one pulled at my heartstrings more than any of her other books I’ve read. I cheered more for Isobel and Bridge than any other couple she’s written...they totally stole my heart! This story is filled with angst, heartbreak, secrets, and whole lot of swoon worthy moments that will have women everywhere searching for a Bridge of their own!

Bridge and Julian are identical twins, but looks is where their similarities ends. Separated in their teens when their parents are divorced only intensifies their differences.

Isobel is engaged to Julian, but no longer recognizes the narcissistic, cheating man he’s become and wants out, but then Julian is in an accident.

A favour, a deal, a replacement, a deception...Bridge becomes Julian. Bridge’s only reasons for doing this is Julian and his mom. Sure that he can handle this until Julian wakes up from his coma, Bridge didn’t count on Isobel. A tangled web of lies and deceit, complicated even more by the strong feelings Bridge ends up having for Isobel, this story takes some crazy twists and turns, heats up to steamy hot, and gives us an epic ending with a tease of more to come.

Rachel Van Dyken did a great job of sucking me into this book. The premise of Bridge needing to step into his twin brother, Julian's shoes was interesting.
Bridge and Julian, who are twins, were separated when their parents divorced. Bridge went to live with his mother and Julian was raised by their father. Their father was definitely a domineering man and had no issues with pitting his sons against each other in the past. Julian and Bridge have not really had contact in a while and no one in the world knows that Bridge and Julian are twins.
When Julian gets into a car accident, his father comes a calling and pressures Bridge into stepping into Julian's life. Bridge, who is willing to do anything for his sick mother, agrees. What he doesn't count on is Isobel.
Isobel is over her relationship with Julian and has mixed feelings about his accident. She wants to be free from Julian and his family. The love she once felt for Julian is no longer front and center, her loathing of him is.
Bridge has no idea of who Isobel is until they meet. He has to pretend to be Julian, but has no idea of how many ways Julian has hurt her in the past.
The only part I had a hard time with was Isobel not realizing all of the signs that Bridge was not Julian. Yes, they were twins, but they definitely did not have the same body. I also had a hard time with her not thinking she could walk away. While she definitely wasn't trapped, she could have found her own way, she lamented her fate with Julian. She was a doormat, but then found her backbone when Bridge arrived. She was so wrapped up in her wants and needs, she didn't see a lot of signs she should have.
Their story was interesting and I really enjoyed it. RVD has a way of pulling you in and rooting for the couple. I didn't like their father and hoped for him to get what he deserved. The book had a good flow to it and set up the next book in this series perfectly. I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you are looking for an insta-love, forbidden love romance.

I wasn't expecting a switcheroo situation and usually I don't like it but RDV can make me love everything. Especially when it's written so well!

I always enjoy reading a book from RVD. I always fall for her characters and her stories. Of course this one did not disappoint. You love those sweet reads, pick this one up!!!!

I will never doubt Rachel Van Dyken again because this book was AWESOME. I’m going to be honest and say that when I saw the premise... it seemed like a lot (and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart). She is the master of complex relationships and this one asks a lot of the reader. It’s twisty, tension-filled, and angsty without being dark. Nothing is black and white in this book; there is a whole lot of gray going on and I was absolutely riveted to see what happened next.

The story follows Isobel, a woman who fell in love with a normal guy from a wealthy family when they were in college. Izzy and Julian had a great love, but once they graduated and he joined the family business, his whole personality changed. After staying with Julian through late work nights and numerous affairs, Isobel has reached her breaking point and knows it’s time to end things. When Julian gets into a serious accident right after the breakup, Isobel isn’t sure what to do. He comes home bruised and battered with a whole new attitude and seemingly foggy memories of their time together. Unbeknownst to her, Julian’s estranged twin, Bridge, has agreed to temporarily take his place so that the business doesn’t suffer while Julian fights for his life. What follows is the complicated dance of Bridge playing a role while struggling with his growing feelings for a woman who isn’t his - and Izzy’s struggle to understand why she seems to be falling for her fiancé all over again.

I felt for both of these characters and their complex feelings for each other. Bridge is a great guy who is disgusted with the way his brother has treated Izzy, and he is not so easily pushed into following his father’s commands. Isobel has endured a lot in the name of love already and Bridge knows this will destroy her when it all comes to a head. Their complicated relationship was heartbreaking and beautiful all at once with a sizzling, tense slow burn and great depth of emotion. It ended up being much easier to relate to this story than I expected, and I will never doubt Van Dyken again when she comes up with a seemingly crazy premise. She struck the perfect balance of wrong/right here, with fantastic writing that makes it nearly impossible to put down. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this complex, romantic book.

Wow! Families can be messed up when money and power are involved. I can't imagine being seperated from a sibling, let alone a twin. Vindictive people do have a tendency to have karma come around worse than they planned and isn't that just lovely. Isobel had the worst position, even though every won and lost and the same momemt. Covet 2 cannot come out soon enough.

This was the best Rachel Van Dyken book I've ever read. I couldn't put the book down and still feel antsy wanting to know Julian's story right away! Definitely recommend. Five chilli peppers of hotness!

Stealing her is another great book from Rachel Van Dyken. What would you do if you were put into Bridges’s position? I’m not a huge fan of cheating even for the greater cause but this book wasn’t horrendous to read and didn’t focus 100% on it. I liked both Izzy and Bridge as characters and hope that Julian gets his own book and happiness.

I have yet to dislike a RVD book! No matter the genre. Rachel brings you in, makes you fall in love with the story, and makes you wait for more! Bridge has one goal and that is to take care of his mother and out of the blue is father shows up to make an offer. He needs Bridge to take his twin brothers place. In comes Isobel, Julian's fiancé and the person that wants to end her engagement with Julian. Then begins the forbidden romance between Bridge/Julian and Isobel. I do think through out the story Julian gets a bad rep, but hopefully gets his happily ever after in the next book. I do feel like mom faded away in the story and little interaction between the twins. Overall, I enjoyed the book from start to finish and can't wait for the next book!

Stealing Her is book #1 of the Covet series by RVD. It is a standalone, contemporary romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending.

This was a pretty good read, although it was one that left me feeling angsty throughout pretty much the whole thing. The whole twin swap thing had to come to a head at some point, and it just kept me on edge.

I really liked Bridge. He was a great male lead, and whilst the whole situation is just a bit unbelievable and far-fetched, I suppose in the lives of the rich and famous, this like this could really happen. He had dealt really well with the hand he'd been given in life, and this was a corner that he was backed into with no other option really. I found him to be quite an honourable and sweet male lead.

Izzy was alright. I don't know how she didn't work out particular things, and how she seemed to keep coming back and being such a doormat, for lack of a better term, but I guess again, that's part of the situation that she was in.

As for Julian, I think there is much more to learn about him, and I'll be keen to see how his story plays out (at least I assume it will) in the rest of the series.

And then we have Edward. Nothing redeemable or likeable about that guy at all.

So an interesting and complex novel overall. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Damn Rachel I devoured this one !!! This was Bridge and Isobel's tale. Quick summary without giving too much away as I would recommend this book to any lover of a good....."is it going to happen","god no !!!" and lots of "I carn't believe I just read that" story lines.......well this is for you !!!
Okay, Bridge carer of his mum. Supa good guy. Has a twin (Julian). Basically good ole daddy left Bridge and his mum high and dry. Not something anybody would just be able to forgive and forget.
Well Brdige gets a proposition.......pretend to be Julian (as he is out of action in hospital) and a lot of troubles will be sorted. Erm.......would you ?
Julian has the "perfect" life.......gorgeous fiancee Isobel.....high end career (CEO) but is all that glitters really gold ?. Is Bridge at risk of losing all if he "steals" Julians Life and Isobel ?!!!!. Oh yes peeps you can see how juicy this one is !!!

Never read a bad read from Rachel and I LOVED this one......oh the possibilities for the next book !!!

Rachel can basically write anything! I absolutely adored this book! It was such a good balance of struggle and want for the characters. I love how she was able to weave the story and work it out. I really felt for all of the characters and that’s how you know the writing was amazing! You get sucked in right from the start. Hopefully we get more to this series!!!

This is a little different than your typical romance. It is a fake fiance' type of story, though not entirely in the way you may expect. It is a little heavier, but not really dark. While the romance is a major component to the story, the background leading to it, along with the circumstance surrounding it play an important role as well. The 'Hero' of the book has his heart in the right place, he ends up taking what wasn't his (a women)... though in his defense, the proper owner let her slip through his hands. He considers himself the villain, and knows what he is doing is wrong, he is just selfish enough to not let her go. Despite all this, us readers know the truth. We see the good in him. In his heart. We see him suffer and try to resist, so you still love him. She is struggling with her own emotions and well being, and this new guy coming into her life right when she needs him is a blessing in disguise. She is innocent in all this, and earns your endearments. There are other evil villains in the story that will make you want to scream. (At times it was almost too much.) As I mentioned, it is a heavier read. There are a few laughs here and there, but for the most part it is a deeper read... not really a light, uplifting read. While it's not a cliffhanger, the ending leaves you with some questions (that I assume we'll hear more of in the book(s) that follow.) The story line flows smoothly. While there is some sexual content, it's not all that graphic, and it doesn't really take over the scenes, but still probably suitable for 17-18+. It is easy to read and follow. Alternates between POVs. It's definitely a book, that you can't quite predict the ending to, with all the variables at play, so it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Rachel Van Dyken has done it once again. An amazing read with great writhing and great characters, even the ones you want to hate. The story follows Bridge/Julian and Izzy through a traumatic event where Bridge is propositioned to step into his twin brothers shoes in more ways than one. It’s an emotional story with lots of ups and downs and will keep you wanting to read into the early hours of the morning. A 5* read that I will read again and again.

I have to say that this is right up there with the best of this author's books - if the not the best one I have read to date (and I have read many - including the Eagle Elite series (fabulous), her Historicals and many of the YA novels. I didn't want to put this one down, it was that riveting and I needed to know what happened. This romance is a departure from Ms Van Dyken's recent genre of YA and is a very compelling, dramatic and emotion filled story. There is a hint of some of the fun banter Rachel is known for writing between the H/h, but it is very toned back and used sparingly - as it should be in this wonderful story.

Excellent character development and the story is mainly focussed on the H/h and not the secondary characters - as it should be in romance. I don't want to give away the plot, as the publisher's book blurb sets up the story nicely. This book is beautifully written, the romance is very slow burn and sizzles all the way through with tension. Sex scenes are detailed, but very tasteful and steamy once they begin. As a reader I really felt the attraction and love between the H/h and was sucked into the emotional angst they were both going through. I look forward to reading many more books like this from this author and I give it 5 well deserved stars. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Cute story although I honestly felt bad for Julian at the end. In his own manner he loved her yet it was not enough. Hopefully he will get his happily ever after too.

This intriguing story of two people both living lies, has romance and finding heart stopping love, deceit, and mystery that pulls you in and doesn’t end until the last page.

I enjoyed this book so much. It grasped me from the beginning and I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed the characters the story and even the little twist and turns in it. I want to read more from this author.
