Stealing Her by Rachel Van Dyken is quite the intriguing story. Such a unique premise in having one brother being coerced into pretending to be his twin and having him end up falling for his brother's girlfriend.

Bridge was definitely put into an impossible situation with stepping into his brother's shoes, especially when it came to Isobel. He could tell there was some huge issues in their relationship, but he couldn't bring himself to treat her the way that Julian had. The connection that Bridge built with Isobel was so much stronger than I think she ever had with Julian, which made it easier for me to accept the things they were doing. Do I totally agree with it, since Isobel was upset with Julian for cheating? No, but after all the things she had put with from him and the fact that she had already mentally checked out of the relationship.....I get her need for the affection and love that Bridge gave her.

After the ending and how it all played out (I loved Julian's reappearance at the end!)…..I can't wait to see Julian get his true happily ever after.

Firstly a huge thanks to netgalley and the authors for this ARC. There's not a single Rachel Van Dyken book that I haven't enjoyed yet. This was no exception. The plot was so interesting that I couldn't not want to read this one.
This plot is very interesting. This book starts with young twins Julian(the shy kid) and Bridge who always protects Julian. Their parents divored and his father got Julian while her mother got Bridge mainly due to the fact that Julian is submissive of the duo while controlling Bridge was difficult. So his father left his mother without any support and forgot the chapter of his life. He is also the sole villain of this book. Fast forward almost 10 years and Bridge's father demands him to pretend to be Julian while the later is in induced Coma,recovering from a fatal accident.
Bridge agrees but maily to support her mother's treatment in lieu of it. And there he meets her brother's fiance.Isobel was hostile to Bridge aka Julian from the start and with a very valid reason. Julian turned out to be just like her father. He cheated on her multiple times and continued to do so.It was really inexcusable. I was very angry reading about it and felt her humiliation and sadness. But they had a chemistry which can't be ignore and soon they started to fall in love with each other. She thought that Julian learned his lesson and he was coming back to her. What happened next is anybody's guess....but one thing's for sure Edward got what he deserved. That man was so selfish and manipulative. I don't wanna say much and spoil the fun but it was a book worth reading. I loved it very much. RVD did a great job writing this series and I am waiting for Julian's story and I felt really sad about his mother. That woman deversed better than a lying,cheating and manupulation Husband. Anyways,it was an entertaining read. A full ⭐⭐⭐1/2 star read for me. Happy reading..xoxo✌

Another fantastic book by Rachel Van Dyken. This is the story of Bridge and Julian, twins who were separated as teenagers. Bridge is thrust into Julian’s shoes when he is in a car accident and his father convinces him to become Julian, including the finance to Isobel. Izzy had tried to break up with Julian right before his accident but then when “Julian” starts acting like the man she fell in love with she stays. This was a great story and can’t recommend it enough!

I don’t typically read blurbs so I didn’t read this one first so I went in blind. It wasn’t very long until I was wishing I would have read the blurb. Twin switch isn’t something that I would typically want to read, but it’s RVD so I pushed on and I’m glad I did. Rachel delivered a great story with angst, heartbreak, betrayal, and a seriously mess up up family. While I didn’t find every aspect of the story as believable it was still a very well told story. I can’t wait to see how Julian reveals himself in a future book. #StealingHer #NetGalley

This book was wild and I loved it!

The soap-opera level drama was absolutely fascinating. Secret twin-brother, narcissistic father, jaded fiancee - a recipe for disaster and I was completely on board for the ride. Bridge was such a selfless person that I was totally cheering him on even as he fell in love with his comatose-twin's fiancee. While it was a little unbelievable that Izzy would go along with the many changes in "Julian" after a serious accident (which mysteriously left no life-threatening injuries) I think that RVD did well to have her so eager to have the old Julian back - the one she fell in love with - that she purposefully ignored the obvious so that she could enjoy this recaptured feeling of being cherished and seen.

I love all of the drama at the end and can't wait for Julian to get his book. This guy really needs a woman to help him relax!

This is a departure from the Rachel Van Dyken books I’m used to reading. The funny, snarky characters aren’t there, and I found it liked it. This book takes on a more dramatic spend that gives the vibe of an old nighttime soap opera I liked the characters and the connection to them came immediately. The only thing stopping me from giving this a five-star review? There were some parts that I felt dragged out a bit and were repetitive, but other than that, this was a good read and I’m curious to read the other installments of this series.

This was a fast paced book that I managed to read in two days, saying that I found it rather shallow in places and it's the type of book you would read on vacation. It was unrealistic in places and I don't think it would ever happen in real life nor could someone pull it off as smoothly in the book. It's a fun read though and was very entertaining.

This book had my emotions all over the place. I couldn't help but feel for most of the characters. While some of it seemed a bit unrealistic- how did Izzy not figure it out- I really enjoyed reading this one. I can't wait to see Julian's story continue.

I don’t think I had ever truly read a forbidden romance until I picked up <i>Stealing Her</i>. This is not a typical man meets woman, they find a connection, fall in love, run into some roadblocks but then find a way to live happily ever after. This is a rare and skillfully written romance I couldn’t put down. I was hooked from the start knowing that the proverbial shoe would eventually fall, not knowing how or when but eagerly anticipating it.

When Bridge steps into his brother’s shoes he realizes that not all is what it seems. He realizes that the brother he had demonized had also had a difficult life being under their father’s oppressive thumb. But Julian had made one too many mistakes when it came to Isobel and Bridge couldn’t help but fall for the gorgeous woman.

Even though they were faced with an impossible situation, I really wanted Bridge and Izzy to find their happy ending. The connection between them leaped from the pages. I especially swooned over Bridge helping Isobel rebuild her confidence and give her space and freedom. Even though he thought himself the villain, I loved him as a hero.

Their circumstances where unfathomable, there was no easy out and in the end I had a huge book hangover with a montage of emotions. The next book in the series can’t come fast enough.

Stealing Her is book #1 of the Covet series by Rachel Van Dyken. It is a standalone, contemporary romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Rachel has done a wonderful job in creating a story where your feelings get pushed all over the place. Julian and Bridge grew up with a coldhearted father. Bridge always tried to shield his twin brother from the cruelties, until their mother wants to divorce and is forced to take Bridge with her while Julian stays behind to become the golden son and future CEO of the company.
But now, when Julian had a car accident and is lying in a coma Bridge's father reaches out to him to step into Julian's shoes to ensure the future of the company. Bridge doesn't want to agree but his mother is dying if she doesn't get treated. And they don't have enough insurance to pay for the treatments. So he agrees, not knowing he would also have to fool his brother's fiancee, Isabol.
Izzy was ready to end her relationship with Julian, because he was no longer like the boy she fell in love with in high school. But now he is in the hospital and she can't leave him now. But when he comes home after a few days, things are different. Julian acts different, looks different.
He claims it is due to the accident and that he wants to turn his life, their life, around. Could Izzy let herself fall in love again with the boy who stole her heart in high school?

I've read other books by this author and liked them, but I like this one the best. The plot was original and I liked the characters. It was well written and I encourage everyone who likes a steamy romance with a bit of heartache to read it!

I have loved every book that RVD has put out and this was no exception!! Y'all there is deception, there's revenge (not really?!) there's deceit and there's redemption. I mean, you throw all that in a book and throw two sexy people together...what do you have? You have the fantastic makings for reality TV lol!! Seriously, this could and should be a reality TV series. I would watch it. I read this while binge-watching UnREAL on HULU and I kept thinking this would have made such an awesome pitch for a pilot episode. She doesn't know he's the brother and he's not gonna tell her....OMG - I cannot wait for the next book. I'm not giving anything away except what happens isn't what you think.

I liked how it was filled with drama, swoon moments, endearing characters, sizzling chemistry and romance. It was like watching a movie play out in your head. There is a lot of ups and downs that these characters have to go through to get to their HEA. Has all the feels that you have come to know you will get in a Rachel Van Dyken story. This author is able to write any genre of a book and have you totally engrossed in every single story she writes and has you coming back for more every single time she brings out a new book. This was so good! I love the author's other books, so I knew this would be great and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The twin swap was done in a way that I can actually believe it and Bridge and Isobel's relationship was amazing. He's such a good guy, he cared for Izzy and didn't want to hurt her or take advantage. Isobel put up with a lot of emotional abuse from Julian because she hoped he'd go back to being the guy she loved. I wanted to tear through this as soon as I started and I'm already excited for the next book!

Love love loved this book! This story had ALL THE ANGST! I went through a roller coaster of emotions and loved every second of it! Rachel can write so many different types of books but her flawless writing and captivating storylines always suck me in, in the best way! I adored Bridge and Izzy! I was wanting their happily ever after more than them at some points! Lol Another phenomenal book for this amazing author! Can’t wait for book 2!

So many mixed emotions on this one. It was heartbreaking in a way, and in another it was disturbing. I want to know more about Julian, I want Bridge and Izzy to get the happiness they deserve. I want “dad” to get run over. The quilt Bridge and Izzy felt was almost touchable. Great story and can’t wait for the next one.

When I got ther approval for this book I was so excited. Who wouldn't be its it's a book by a seriously talented author. This book is so not like any of her other books though it was still good I just had a hard time getting into this book.

Julian and Bridge are twins and Bridge was the bigger twin out of the two who would as always stick up for and protect Julian that was until thier parents divorced and Julian stayed with his dad and bridge went with his mom.

Years later of no contact and years of hurt and hate Bridge finds out his brother was involved in a major accident and his dad needs Bridge to cover for his brother to step in and be Julian. Easy enough right? But what happens when he meets Julian's fiance can he be the cold hearted business man and a fiance to a woman he has no business having feelings for?

What will happen when and if Julian wakes up? Can Bridge pull off the switch? Will Isabel find out that it's not Julian that's sleeping in her bed? So many questions and it's only the first book! I'm looking forward to the next book!

You will have to read the book to see what actually happens with the unplanned love triangle. I am a big fan of Rachel Van Dyken and while the story was a little unbelievable at times it was also a fun read. Looking forward to Covet #2.
