Holy wow!! RVD never ceases to amaze me in how she crafts a story. Stealing Her has all the drama, the passion, the heart and angst to keep you turning pages and rooting for a happy. Twins with so much animosity for the other, but bound by a sense of honor. A girl caught between them. A father who is the villain. Yeah I loved it!!

Stealing Her isn’t the type of romance I would normally read due to the faux cheating aspect and the twin brother trope. However, I can honestly say Rachel Van Dyken makes it work and not only that but actively makes you root for the happily ever after the couple deserved.

The main aspect of Stealing Her I enjoyed was the delve into the psychology of nature versus nurture. Following their parent’s divorce Bridge and Julian were separated one each going to each of the parents (who does that). Bridge was always the caretaker of the family and maintained the role with his mother. Not only were the brothers separated by distance but also ended up on opposites ends of the socio-economic scale. So while Bridge has little in the way of monetary possessions and worked hard for every penny, he did grow up in a house full of love. Meanwhile, Julian endured the harsh conditions of his fathers household while surrounded by wealth and prestige.

Due to the father’s insistence no contact was maintained by Julian and Bridge feeding into their emotional baggage, especially Julian’s. So when Julian is injured and cannot continue in his role as CEO, Bridge is required to maintain appearances by pretending to be Julian. Easy enough when no-one is aware you have a twin!!!

However, Bridge can’t disguise his inherent kindness and compassion, especially from the person who should have been closest to Julian, his fiancee, Isobel.

Sadly, Julian has been moulded into a giant douche thanks to his father; which has included cheating continually on Isobel and making her insecure in her own attractiveness. Something Bridge is unable to fathom when he meets Isobel and is blown away by firstly her beauty and then her heart.

There is a lot going on in the plot with the romance between Bridge and Isobel at the heart. 3.5/5

Pins and needles. That’s how I was feeling as I was reading. I knew something was going to happen but I just had to hold on and wait for it.

I adored this book. I never read the blurb so I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. Rachel did a fabulous job at keeping me reading and connected. I just couldn’t stop! And then it ended and I’m feeling lost... I mean, how could she leave us like this‽‽ Doesn’t she realize that we want EVERYTHING and we don’t wanna wait for it‽‽ These characters have so much more to show us.

I am truly satisfied with this book and how this series has started. I’ve read practically everything Rachel has written but only her Eagle Elite books have left me feeling this way, until now. My heart is all a flutter of emotions. Give me more!!

Stealing Her is the first book by Rachel Van Dyken that I have read, and enjoyed every page. I loved reading and following Bridge and Isabel's story. I found the story line of one twin taking the place of the other, but with a twist. Even though Bridge and his brother were separated by their horrible father, he still loved his twin and was willing to help him when needed. The added bonus of being able to help his mom and find the perfect person for for him added to the story. I look forward to reading Julian's story.

Julian and Bridge are twin brothers.
When their mom leaves their dad, Bridge goes to live with his mom and Julian stays with his dad.
They grow apart over the years. Julian has money and his dads company in his future, plus Isobel, his girlfriend.
3 years later and Isobel has had enough of the cheating ways of her fiancé Julian, the VP of his dads company. But an accident brings back the old Julian, or so she thinks.

This book was great until the 80% mark. I skimmed some stuff after that and all of the conclusions and twists were in the last 10% of the book.

Still a good read. Can’t wait for the other book!

I received this ebook copy from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

omg i 4 stared one of my fav authors books.. this hurts me more than i admit. The why is that the usual humor and intense realistic vibes are missing.

This is a story about how identical twins are swapped when one has a horrific car accident to make it look like it didn't happen and what i couldn't accept is that a woman of 4 years didn't notice that the man in her home is a stranger to her? it wigs me out when my man gets a hair cut from a different barber! Identical twins doesn't mean identical bodies, voices, D*ck, mannerisms etc hahaha.

while they had amazing chemistry and they did not actually have sex for a month until their chemistry was scorching it still rubbed me weird that she was just like yup this is totally my fiancé of four years and cant wait to marry him . i think there was so much good stuff in this plotline as there always is with this author. I swear she is brilliant as she never does the cliché and the overdone. i will 100% read the next book and anything else she does i just wasn't head over heels for this one

Of all of the fantastic RVD books I've read, this one is hands down my favorite. This book has more ups and downs than any soap opera I've ever watched but I was completely sucked into the story from the very first page.

If book one is any indication, this series is going to be filled with drama, betrayal, and tons and tons of heat. Bridge and Izzy brought me to tears but also made me root for their forbidden romance. I'm not usually a fan of love triangles but this one was so unique that I couldn't get enough. RVD is the Queen of drama and this might be her best book yet.

This was a great book! I really enjoyed the premise and I was super invested from the beginning. I loved the characters and there was the perfect amount of steam.

This story pulled me in and kept me entertained. I got wrapped up in Izzy, Bridge, and Julian’s story, however it all felt a little far fetched to me. I question how she couldn’t tell them apart, especially since there were so many differences and he suddenly started acting different.

It is well written and entertaining though. So if you can overlook the faults (to me it’s mainly the lack of recognizing the twin) then I’d say give this a chance.

Great storyline that I was thrilled to dig into. Who doesn’t love a good twin swap? I love RVD but this wasn’t my favorite from her. The setup was terrific but for me there were too many unbelievable parts and I didn’t really feel the connection between Izzy and Bridge and it took too long to get to the goodie parts of their relationship. There was a lot of convincing in the beginning that Izzy wasn’t a gold digger (which she wasn’t) and I really liked that she was all soft and heartfelt. Bridge as the strong twin willing to sacrifice for his family really went above and beyond. What a hero! The villainous dad was despicable. Ugh! It seemed out of character for him to taking in Isobel when he threw away his son. I had mixed feelings about Mom. Overall it was an intriguing story with some ups and downs and a good ending. I am interested to see were Julian’s story goes..

Drop everything your dong and grab this book. This is my new favorite by Rachel Van Dyken. She pulled me in, once I started I couldn’t stop until I finished. This book was filled with all the angsty goodness I love.

Bridge and Julian are identical twins. Things get a little crazy when Jillian is fighting for his life in a coma. His brother Bridge steps in to help run the company he loves and take care of his fiancé. Things are going as good as can be while pretending to be his twin brother until the lines get blurred and he falls for his brother’s fiancé.

That’s all I’m going to say about this book. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. This is a must read!

When I read the book description of ‘Stealing Her’ and saw that beautiful looking cover I just knew I wanted to read this book. So I was super excited when I received an ARC and started reading as fast as I could.

‘Stealing Her’ was from the start a read I couldn’t put down. There was just something about the way ‘Rachel Van Dyken wrote this story, that made me want to keep on reading just so I could find out what was happening next. And the main part that kept me hooked was the whole twin brothers part. I mean twins having feelings for the same girl. It sounded horribly complicated! But I still wanted to know what was going to happen.

The two main characters Isobel and Bridge where very fun characters that I enjoyed getting to know better. Bridge was this handsome, hardworking guy who just wanted to take care of his sick mother. And although Isobel’s character was one I wanted to kick at times, just to help her ‘wake’ up and stand up for herself, there was also something about her that made me like her.

The romance was pretty sweet, but mostly a little weird because of the whole twin thing and I found myself enjoying this read, but not loving it as much as I’d like. There was just to much stuff that felt a little off. I mean, if a guy is suddenly totally different in the way he acts and the way he looks.. I just can’t imagine someone fallen for that.

But overall I had fun reading ‘Stealing Her’ and I was pretty surprised by the way things ended. If you’d tell me I could start reading the next book in the series, I would definitely do that.

Obviously I'm in the minority, but I didn't like it. My suspension of disbelief for the set up just wasn't there, and I couldn't connect to any of the characters. I could see how it was going to play out and I skimmed a lot. I love other RVD books, this one just didn't work for me.

Thank you Rachel for another great book!! I literally sat and read most of this book in one day. I had to know what was going to happen and couldn’t put it down. It did help that I actually had a day to sit and read. ;).

It is so true that your life can take a turn in a blink of an eye. That is what happened to Bridge/Julian & Isobel. But mostly to Bridge. Bridge and Julian are identical twins. Best friends to one another. Bridge always protecting Julian and Julian always talking Bridges stuff. Until one day, they’re not.

Bridge and Julian are completely different in their adult life than when they were younger. But due to circumstances, one of them has to become the other. And Isobel is in the middle of it all. Not sure what to believe and how her life had turned out the way it had? But she is strong and persevere’s.

This book grabs you right from the beginning and will hold your interest all the way to the end. It is full of surprises, emotions and what the ... moments. Rachel has a way to bring you in the story so that you’re right there all side of the character’s. You feel their pain and happiness. I love that about her writing! This is the first book in the covet series. I can’t wait for book two. You will not be disappointed in this book. A must read for sure!!!

During his youth, Bridge defended his twin brother, Julian, from bullies. His father would be more than disappointed in Bridge because he would get suspended as result. Bridge never told his father Julian was being bullied because he would think less of Julian.

Bridge promises Jules that he will always be there for him. But, at fourteen, the tables turn and the brothers are separated. Bridge must go with his mom, at this dad’s request since he believes Bridge is a trouble maker, and Jules with his dad. The problem? Jules is very impressionable and fears his father.

Years later, after Julian has an accident and is in a coma, Bridge’s father finally makes an appearance. He wants Bridge to act as Julian to close business deals and to continue doing so in all aspects of Julian’s life. This includes Julian’s fiancée, Isobel.

Lines become blurred and what was a sham has now become real. Not only does Bridge want to take over his father’s business, he wants Isobel as well!

Can he have it all? Or, will he once again lose it all?

Holy crap! This book got its tentacles in me and did not let go! I was consumed with Izzy, Bridge and Julian. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. Absolutely everything was eclipsed as I read this book.

I had so many feels when it came to Bridge. He is honest and hardworking and yet, he is eventually put in an untenable position of his own making. He loves his brother’s fiancée and he would love to mend fences with his brother as well.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I received an ARC via NetGalley of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Talk about being in an impossible position. Bridge tries his best to rise above the hurt and disappointment. To be anyone other than a copy of his dad and sadly also his brother. When he meets Isobel he is determined to show her that she is a priority. He is driven by love and guilt through the whole ordeal. Isobel is driven more than anything by hope. Even when she has been hurt over and over by the one person she loved and trusted. But at some point they re-discover in the other a sense of safety and completeness. There is no way they both can turn away from that, from each other. This is a complicated but intriguing story. Feels way out there but very well delivered. And it's like that mostly because it's not the "fairy tale happily ever after". It's the "we can be good but we need to work hard at it and only time will heal" kind of book.

Wow, the blurb made it sound amazing and then reading it, it did not disappoint. Bridge gets an offer he can't refuse despite his hatred for his dad. He just has to pretend to be his twin brother until he wakes up. Throw in Julian's fiancee Isobel and it changes everything....love wasn't supposed to be part of the equation.

Bridge you can't help but love him throughout this entire store, and his conflicting emotions...he really wants to do right by Isobel and yet, he is drawn to her. Isobel I wish was stronger and had actually left Julian BUT then we wouldn't have had this story. She just believes that she isn't remembering things when it comes to "Julian" and I really wish he had told her the truth sooner, but again, we have dear ole' Dad pulling the strings.

Julian is different then what Bridge thought and yet there is so much more I want to know about him, and I hope in the next book that is exactly what we get. I wish the dad had at least one redeeming quatlity but he is such a good bad guy.

This book gives you drama, romance, the idea of "forbidden" and really waiting for the other shoe to drop throughout this gripping story. You will be sucked into this world and will honestly be conflicted and you will never be happier that you were.

This is a great start to another new series from RVD. It had me hooked from beginning to end, unable to put it down even when I was reading in bed and kept hitting myself in the head with my kindle as I was so tired but I just didn't want to put it down.

I loved Bridge and Izzy, the connection between them is instant and off the charts hot. Considering Bridge is her fiancé's twin brother she knew nothing about, I loved watching the questioning going on in Izzy's head. She must have thought she was going insane with the changes to the man she thought she knew. My heart broke for Bridge as he was falling in love with the girl he shouldn't.

They were in this situation thanks to a car crash and I was constantly waiting for another crash to happen, when the truth comes out. Will they get what their hearts want or will they lose everything? As the book went on I was honestly getting very anxious and heaven help anyone that interrupted my reading!!

Another great read from RVD
