Another great book from Rachel Van Dyken. I seriously haven't read anything from her that I have not just loved. This was full of emotions and I loved every word!

Stealing Her is RVD’s latest book and overall I really enjoyed it. The plot is dramatic and OTT but I have to say that I liked the premise of the story as I’m a big fan of the forbidden love trope. I really wasn’t sure how the story was going to pan out, which was great because it left me on the edge of he seat all the way through. If I’m honest, the ending wrapped up a little too quickly and a little too neatly for me, but that said, I’m definitely excited to read the next book in this series.

I love many of Rachel's books (haven't read all of them yet). This book is unlike her in many ways. I love angst and this book delivers just enough to satisfy, but does not over do it. Twins swapping places, forbidden love ahhhhhh I just loved it.

I knew I wanted to read Stealing Her by Rachel Van Dyken as soon as I read the blurb and I loved it! The story was angst-filled and full of surprises! I devoured it in one sitting! Two brothers and one woman, I mean bring on the angst and heartbreak!

Bridge is doing everything he can for his mother and himself. His father tore their family apart when he left and only took his twin. But now his father needs him his help and in return, he will Bridge’s mother. All he has to do is pretend to be his twin. But what he never expected was his brother’s fiancé to be a game changer. Though her feelings for Julian had changed, she was still his fiancé. What happens when Bridge falls for her and yet she has no idea who he truly is?

Stealing Her by Rachel Van Dyken was an emotional and angst-filled read and I loved it. We are taken on a journey of family heartbreak, power and control. Can Bridge and Isobel ever find their happily ever after?

Happy reading!

3.5 stars...

The book is told in Bridge and Isobel's alternating POV. This was a bit of a different concept for me to read, twins torn apart when they were in high school and basically do not exist in one another's life for years. I found Bridge to be a very likable character and would like to know more of Isobel's backstory. I felt like the story fell a bit short for me. It is all pretty much given away in the description and there are parts throughout that allude to what is going to happen. It was intriguing to see how it was all going to play out but there wasn't all that much conflict considering the events that occurred.

This book is everything. There is so much emotional depth woven in the words and actions between Izzy and Bridge that I had to read it a second time already. STEALING HER is a beautifully composed story of strength and perseverance and soul-searching love.

RVD has masterfully given us a love story that is epic and wonderful. The words flow between characters and their actions speak louder than their words. This read has now become one of my favorite books of 2019, and dare I say, one of my favorite RVD books.

The intensity of the characters is believable and their backstories draw the reader in even further. There are emotional trials throughout the pages, but I believe that it makes the story that much better.

These characters will stay with me for a long time, and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Stealing Her is the all-new, first book in Rachel Van Dyken’s Covet series. And all I can say is, “Holy angst, Batman!” And honestly...at the end of the book, that’s about all that came to mind. That and the whole Ross and Rachel “we were on a break” argument! And that’s as much of a spoiler as you’ll get from me because this book was way too good to spoil it for you.

Anyone who reads my reviews probably already knows I’m a huge fan of Rachel Van Dyken and her words. She’s literally right behind Nora Roberts on my favorite authors list. But this was the grittiest and ugliest (as in no clear winners here) HEA I think she’s ever written. Bridge and Isobel quite literally broke my heart. There was never going to be any real winner in this situation, but I was rooting for them all the same. And while they do get their HEA, it’s definitely hard fought for and not the hearts and roses and glitter type of HEA. (Think more along the lines of her Eagle Elite books HEAs.) And as much as I hated Julian in the beginning, by the end of the book, I simply wanted to give him a big hug and tell him it was going to be okay…one day.

NICUnurse’s Rating: This book is chock full of real and gritty characters. Some you want to love. Some you want to hate. And some you want to heal. And if you hate cliffhangers, I’d advise you to wait until book two releases before diving in. (Finding Him releases at the end of Feb. 2020, and you can pre-order it now on Amazon.) But if you’re a sucker for Rachel’s words like I am, just dive right in––right now. Just…not right before bed because I promise you, it will be a sleepless night! I could not put this book down, and when I hit The End, I almost literally yelled then cried because she totally left my heart broken! So, if you love angsty books that have fallible characters that are still worth cheering for and lots and lots of family drama, you’re going to want to read Stealing Her long before Finding Him releases.

I give Stealing Her by Rachel Van Dyken 5 out of 5 stars!

Wow, this forbidden romance story blew me away. RVD did an outstanding plotting and writing with this one. Having all the twists and turns when Bridge has to become Julian and has his brother's fiancée Izzy in the mix and the story took a whole new meaning. My emotions took a toll with this ride, I just couldn't let it go, I wanted to know what happened next but yet I just can't wait, I need the next one in the series asap. A must top read for this year!

Ok so this book is simply amazing. I didn’t know what to expect going in but I do know that I have a strong hate for Edward tennyson. He got everything he deserves. Bridge. I fell hard for him. Julian, he’s okay, he is nothing like his twin though. My heart felt for Izzy. She is a very strong woman for going through everything she did. I disliked the cliffhanger (not a bad one) I can’t wait for book 2

I've read several of Rachel Van Dyken's books before, and they are generally enjoyable with a lot of humor and a bit of angst. I tend to gravitate more towards humor than angst.

This is a twin-swap story, which is not totally original, but still enjoyable.

Bridge is a solid hero . He's relatable, you understand his actions, you know why he goes along with everything. Julian, however, is not as likeable throughout the book, so you kind of want to ask Isabel what she's thinking and remove the triangle early on. But if she did, they would be no book, right? Isabel needed a little more of a backbone, but you can understand why she's torn.

Enjoyable read with some drama - do not read if you do not like triangles and angst. But there is a HEA, so you're all good in the end.

Rachel Van Dyken is an expert story-teller. She brings an immense emotional response to her books from the beginning. The minute I opened the book I was glued to the pages. I could not put this book down. The tug and pull of emotions that this book elicits is astounding. You don’t know who the underdog is or whether to cheer for them. This riveting story is about twin brothers that were separated during their parents’ divorce. Bridge went with his mother. He was the trouble maker and ultimate protector of the family. He has to work three jobs to support his ill-fated mother. Julian stayed with their rich-pompous father. As they grow older, Bridge, once a trouble maker is now a humble hard-worker. Julian, a scared, timid boy is now as narcissistic as his father. The twins lose contact with each other. Then one day Julian is in a major accident. For their father’s company to survive, Bridge must step in and pretend to be Julian. Bridge takes over all that is Julian’s life, including his scorned fiancée, Izzy. There is only one problem. No one is who they seem. During his interim CEO position, Bridge starts to fall for Izzy. Izzy starts to fall in love again with pseudo-Julian. Through this emotional turmoil, gut-wrenching saga, and conflicting passion you learn what the cost of greed can illicit and how heart-breaking love can be. How much would you sacrifice for those you love? Stealing Her is another 5-star hit!
I received a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

4.5 Stars! Another hit in the heart from Rachel Van Dyken. Stealing Her is book one in a brand new series Covet. This story is about family, secrets, greed and love. What would you do to take care of your loved ones? Would you sell yourself to the one person you despise?

Bridge and Julian twins who were separated by their parents divorce when they were teens. They were inseparable and Bridge had always been the protector of Julian growing up. He vowed to always be there for him, not knowing that his life would be taking a different route. As years pass they grow apart and Bridge soon hates him and their father for abandoning him and his mom. Life hasn’t been easy for him and his sick mother. Working two sometimes three jobs to survive, as the bills continue to pile up, Bridge won’t ask for help from the two people who should be there. But out of the blue his father shows up asking for his own help and an offer the he can’t refuse. Become Julian. Julian has been in a accident. Seems easy right?

Izzy has lost everything in her life but Julian. He’s the man who became her life, her love until he also became the man she began to hate. She’s heavily connected to Julian and his father and all they have done for her since she lost her family years ago. She’s been groomed to be the perfect wife, the perfect wife for a Tennyson. But she’s beginning too see that love isn’t enough anymore to put up with Julian and his lack of respect and love. Can she truly leave him? Or will she continue too fall for Julian’s words that keep her hanging on just a bit longer?

Stepping into Julian’s shoes seems like it might not be too hard for Bridge, but that is until he meets Izzy. She’s the game changer that will fill him with so many emotions he wasn’t anticipating. Izzy is seeing the old side of Julian and while she’s wary, she’s falling in love with him again. Is it too good to be true? As these two finding their place with one another, secrets are exposed and it may destroy everything they both were feeling.

I really enjoyed this and found myself rooting for Bridge right from the start. I wanted him to get some happiness for once in his life. But at what cost would he get it? As the story continues and lies are dropped left and right, you see his struggle. Izzy is what gave me a bit of a pause in the story. She was basically a doormat to Julian and we don’t see her wings spread like I wanted them too. As for Julian, I am not sure about him yet.

The ending left me feeling a bit out of sorts. I’m not sure that I’m satisfied with it. It seemed just a bit rushed and I needed some more closure. As for the epilogue we will see where book two will go hopefully there is where I get my more. If you’re not a fan of cheating this might not be the book for you, but was it really cheating? I can’t say with 100% it was or it wasn’t.

With every book I read by RVD, I fall more in love with her writing. She writes in so many genres, so many different characters and storylines that she’s like a enchantress. She delivers stories that have you turning those pages. You become under her spell and don’t want to leave. I adore her and can’t wait for more.

Oh my gosh! This book...I just, wow.

My sister has been a huge fan of Rachel’s for a while and she’s been constantly on at me to read one of her books so when I seen the info about this one I knew I had to give it a shot. It’s sounded exactly like the kind of book I love to read and boy, I was right. It was absolutely amazing!

Identical twins, both love each other endlessly but when a marriage breaks down and a selfish father takes one and sends the other with their mother things are going to go down.

Bridge has had to work for what he has, to help keep his family fed and healthy. He’s a respectable man and kind hearted. He’ll do anything for his mom, for anyone he loves even if it means making a deal with the devil.

Julian is rich and entitled but the only thing he’s ever truly wanted is his fathers approval, he’d do anything to gain his respect and for him to be proud of him even if it means becoming someone he doesn’t want to be.

Two completely different brothers but yet the same in a many ways, separated at a young age and growing to dislike each other because of things that couldn’t be helped.

Isabel is living a life she doesn’t want. She grew to love a man that changed in ways she hated. She deserves more than what she gets and she knows it. I loved her for standing by what she wants and her knowing she deserves more. She’s an amazing woman but I just wish she stood her ground more on the way she was treated.

Watching this story play out has been so much fun. There were a few shocks that weren’t expected, ones that I loved and ones that made this story so much better than it already was. When I went into this book I was expecting certain things but this book smashed everything I expected and gave me so much more and I love LOVE when a book does that.

As I said above this is my first read by Rachel Van Dyken and I’m really glad I chose this one. It kept me hooked from the first page right up until the last. I can’t wait for book two because I NEED to learn more about Julian. If RVD’s other books are anything like this then I’m going to need to have a binge read right away.

Stealing Her was full of angst and drama. It’s a book about heartbreak and learning to love again. A book full of twists and feelings that you won’t be able to forget at any time. One of the best reads of 2019!

If you love triangles involving brothers, family torn apart and manipulation then look no further then Stealing Her. Bridge is doing all he can to save his mom. Torn from his twin brother when his parents divorced leads to a read full of emotions and feelings. You feel for Bridge when he is put in a tough situation to take his brother Julian's place within their fathers company. Add in Julians fiancee and you are going to be in for one heck of a ride. Isobel is in a rock and a hard place through all this. Secrets being held and thinking her old Julian is back. This is one crazy love triangle that will pull you in. I love the chemistry with Isobel and Bridge. You will hate Julian and Bridge's father and that is ok because just wait until these brothers get pay back. I loved Bridge and Isobel together even if it took her it seemed like forever to figure things out. I can't wait for Julians story to come.

This book... I could not put it down! It didn’t seem long enough the way I was reading it. VanDyken takes some time to go back to her roots with this angst romance! There were tons of times where I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, where I was swooning with the characters, and where I was laughing with them too. This book has a little bit of everything that makes it worth reading! I absolutely loved the characters and loved seeing how their minds worked. Definitely recommend.

This is absolutely one of my favorite stories from Rachel Van Dyken. That is saying a lot, because I love her writing. This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

I am such a sucker for angsty stories. I seriously devour them and this one gave me so much of that and more. I could not put this book down. I read it in one sitting.

While at times, I found my self questioning the character's decisions, I still found myself rooting for them. I even wanted to see more of Julian and how everything works out for him. This book had me on an emotional roller coaster that I did not want to get off of. I seriously can't wait for the next book in this series.

Stealing Her (Covet, #1) by Rachel Van Dyken is a contemporary romance done respectfully with the right amount of angst and drama. This is a page turner for sure. Just when you think you’ve figured out where the story is headed. Bam! Nope, not what you were thinking at all. The deception and manipulation by their father is unfathomable and keeps the reader guessing at his motives and what underhanded scheme he will use to his advantage. I loved all the characters in this book, including the not so savory ones. Izzy was a little slow to clue in to things but she handled everything with the grace she was primed for. Lies between friends. Secrets between lovers. Mistrust between brothers. This is not your typical type of story where twins trade places. It’s so much more.

Wow that was powerful. It Blew my mind and captured my heart. I give Stealing her 5 stars.
Isobel Cunningham is a beautiful young lady. Engaged to Julian Tennyson .
Julian Tennyson is a powerful soon to be CEO of his father’s company.
Bridge Tennyson is the other twin the father had sent away. But after an accident their father comes to Bridge for help.
First of all the storyline was so original and unlike anything I have read before. It immediately draws you in, so make sure you have time to read this book because you will not want to put it down. It kept me guessing the whole way through on what would happen next. There are so many tender and sweet moments throughout. Along with moments that had me laughing and moments of just raw emotion. I absolutely loved the characters and the storyline and just everything about this book, It was completely riveting!! Definitely going to have a book hangover from this one! I Highly Recommend you read Stealing Her, you will not be sorry!!!

This is such a good book I didn’t know how the story would end, would Julian wake up and take his life back or would Bridge keep it all while he slept away in his coma? It’s such a lovely story that’s told about Bridge one that’s hard to not love, his twin brother is in a coma from an accident and is blackmailed by his father to live his twin brothers life that includes his fiancé Isobel. He cannot help but fall in love with Isobel, but how could he betray his brother? As the story unfolds you understand how and why but you don’t see it coming! Just love this book!
