The festive cover and lovely blurb seemed perfect for the Christmas season. It is a feel-good romance with a sort of Downton Abbey vibe. For some reason, I didn’t get into the story, but it's just my personal opinion in this very moment. I'll try reading it later on, I might be more into it.

Regardless, I’m supportive of independent self-published authors, so give it a try, you might really like it!

An endearing and festive story for the holidays! I love when a romance comes together for two very deserving people, after a few mishaps of course. I lookforward to reading more books by this author.

I really enjoyed this book.

The characterisation was great and loved how the Lord of the Manor melted and became a normal person. The names of the Kringles were perfect and made this book even warmer.

I felt that the mother and Imogen were poisonous and very incredibly well-written.

This was a cuddly book to read with hot chocolate, just need some of the fudge and Christmas cookies.

Christmas at Maplemont Manor is a delightful holiday story by Julie Manthey. Noelle Kringle is a native of Maplemont. She owns the town bakery and lives on the sugar maple farm with her sister Holly, Holly’s husband Troy, and niece Ava, who is her late sister Carol’s daughter.

On the property next door is Maplemont Manor, the ancestral home created by the town’s founder and now owned by the Fitzgerald family heir, Grant. Not only did Grant come from wealth, but he also created a software product that led to the multimillion dollar sale of his company that would be split with his childhood best friend and business partner, Porter Cage. Porter also came from a world of boarding schools, Ivy League, and snooty families. Neither Grant nor Porter are such snobs, but their families certainly are!

The story revolves around the growing relationship between Noelle and Grant, beginning with their silly meeting to the more explosive moments. This is a delightful story of finding one’s place in the world and believing that you belong. Endearing characters, a lovely setting, and a beautiful season make this a lovely read. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it

I really enjoyed this fun and touching Christmas story, consisting of 2 main characters who figure out they're meant for each other. It's a nice romantic story but also includes all of what makes Christmas from the cookie exchange and fun filled parties. This would be along the lines of a Hallmark story. "Christmas at Maplemont Manor" presents the reader with a humorous and touching holiday story, featuring two main characters who finally find each other. Noelle manages a bakery in Maplemont, returning to her hometown after travels overseas honing her craft as a pastry chef. Grant arrives in Maplemont as the spoiled wealthy owner of Maplemont Manor. After a hilariously bad beginning, Noelle and Grant get to know more about each other as they work together on community Christmas events. Despite mishaps and misunderstandings, Noelle and Grant finally find their happy ending.

The lovable characters and enjoyable time of year make this novel a perfect holiday choice. Although readers may become frustrated with the main characters at times, the situations are realistic and entertaining. The book chapters feature holiday themed titles, which accompany the action of each chapter very well. (This book would make a great Hallmark classic Christmas show.)

This clean read is suitable for families to enjoy, as it contains no harsh language, sexual situations, or violence.

I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Christmas at Maplemont Manor is a quick, cute read. It is reminiscent of a Hallmark movie and is somewhat predictable. If you enjoy Hallmark movies or books turned into movies like that you will enjoy this sweet read. It is a good book to curl up in front of the fire with during the Holidays.

There's so much to like about this story. First of all it's a Christmas romance that is actually full of Christmasy things; gingerbread house competition, Christmas cookie exchanges and a fun Christmas Eve Gala. Then there are the very likeable characters. I could easily identify with the heroine Noelle Kringle and I really liked the hero, Grant Fitzgerald. There are lots of fun scenes and the blossoming of the romance between Noelle and Grant was heartwarming. Anyone who enjoys sweet, festive Christmas stories will really enjoy this book.

This book gave me serious Gilmore Girls vibes and I loved it. Maplemont reminded me so much of Stars Hollow at Christmas, making this such a great cosy, comfortable read. I loved how important the sisterly relationships were throughout. I did feel like the romance was a bit insta-love between both couples and things moved VERY fast, but that’s what happens with Christmas romances I guess so I’m not too mad about it!

I really enjoyed the story. Noelle and Grant were very strong characters. Imogen and Grant's mother were another story. Issues with their past in the romance department plus Imogen and his mother's plotting really had Noelle confused. Read this book involving family, past issues and other things to see how this story ends. You will enjoy it too.

Very sweet Christmas story. Easy to read and very like able characters. I've always liked the small town Christmas stories where everyone and their aunt get involved in the matchmaking of two of its residents. There isn't anything I didn't like about this story. The author, Julie Manthey, gave Christmas at Maplemont Manor everything you would want in in a Christmas romance. The characters are brilliantly written and given a depth and likeability. The description of a small town is on point, and having grown up in a small town I'd know! The love story has all the twists and turns to keep you interested until the very end.
I look forward to reading more from this author....hopefully more stories set in Maplemont!

Christmas at Maplemont Manor by Julie Manthey
Noelle's predictable life is turned upside down by her 'frost impressions' of Maplemont's newest resident two weeks before Christmas.
A herd of reindeer, the scent of gingerbread, and a manor decked in mistletoe turn this heart-warming romance into a little Christmas magic. Escape into the festive frolic and spend the holidays in Maplemont.
this is Noelle and Grant's story.
The town’s Christmas tree stood watch while Noelle flipped the bakery’s door sign to ‘closed.’ She stopped for a second to smile at a photo of her sister, the original founder of the bakery, whose image had pride of place by the entrance where she could still welcome every guest. The aroma of maple fudge sweetened the air as Noelle tested out a new recipe that she hoped would be a contender for the gold medal of the prestigious Northeast Maple Tree awards.
The Sugarhouse Bakery glowed in white twinkly lights after a busy day. A fixture at the far end of Main Street, the building started in 1853 as a maple syrup processing house, or sugarhouse. Snow piled up outside in big clumps, as the small town of Maplemont, New York glittered in twinkle lights. Maplemont had two claims to fame. The first that it was only three hours’ drive from New York City and also to Montreal, Canada and the second, and by no means least, that it had the best maple fudge in the region at the Sugarhouse Bakery.
Noelle danced toward the kitchen, humming along to holiday music while totally engrossed in tasting fudge from a pan. With her long auburn hair pulled back neatly in a braid and long bangs framing her high cheek bones and hazel eyes, she could easily have been mistaken for a chic French woman. Chic, that is, until one noticed that her apron hid an ugly Christmas sweater from the bakery’s contest earlier in the afternoon. The sweater’s red sequins reflected the light as she moved.
At the local Moonlight Theater, Grant Fitzgerald tried not to doze off in the plush red velvet seat, listening to a classical music quartet that included two violins, a viola, and a cello. The charity concert supported the restoration of the local museum after the roof caved in last year when historic snows blanketed the region. He looked comfortable, albeit bored, in his full tuxedo that he wore as a uniform to the many charity events on his social calendar. His thick, wavy hair seemed purposefully disheveled, as if he had just left the beach, in contrast to his strong jawline that made him look serious.
Checking his watch, he wondered whether his mother would notice if he slipped out to leave early. Glancing over to her, she glared back as if reading his thoughts. He returned his gaze to the quartet, wondering how many hours of his life he’d spent at events like these. While being the ‘lord of the manor’ in Maplemont had its privileges, Grant often found his new life here to be very dull and isolating.
At the end of the concert, he stood up quickly while a young woman rushed up to him gushing about the music and the benefit for the museum. Word had quickly spread that Grant was the most eligible bachelor in the area, having recently moved into the enormous and historic Maplemont Manor that he inherited from his grandfather. The gossip mill’s description that he was also tall, dark, and handsome added to the frenzy. Having already amassed a fortune, he allegedly planned to settle down at Maplemont where the only thing he lacked was a wife.
Christmas at Maplemont Manor by Julie Manthey is a 5 star book.
