I've only read this book now but it's as relevant today as when it was published. It masterfully shows work myths and outdated mindsets that must be addressed to be a relevant leader today. Its tools and narratives together equips the reader with the essentials to navigate in today's workplace landscape. The EQ part per chapter digs deep to give more meaning to the lessons and questions at every turn are reflective and challenging. This is a must read especially for long time people leaders to keep up and guide their teams better, forming formidable relationships that will strengthen an organization.

The amount of information in this book is mind-blowing. I send this title as a recommendation to a few friends who are getting degrees in Human Resources. This is a must-read for anyone who wants to have an organized filing system.

Another title in the ever growing list of HR and leadership books focused on EQ. There's nothing wrong with this book and it is certainly accessible, but there are other EQ books that cover the topic in more depth. This might be best suited for a reader interested in how to APPLY EQ, rather than nurture it, in a specifically large corporate environment.

The author's painstaking research and attention to detail is obvious in the writing of this book. The author laid out the information in a manner that allowed the reader to form their own opinion on what information to utilize.
