The Neighbours was an easy read. The relationship between Ginny and Cassie was heartwarming and pleasant and the story itself was good.
I found Ginny to be a relatable protagonist. She’s kind and helpful and has all those mundane fears that we as women have every day; your fertility dropping off of a cliff, no one loving you, waking up alone on your birthday. She makes some bad choices and some god awful assumptions but as all things in good romantic novels do, they come together in the end.
My only complaint would be that the story felt a little rushed in places, but other than that, a joyful and funny read!

I liked this book, I thought the idea was cute but I had a difficult time connecting with the older characters. But I thought the writing was good, but it just wasn't the right story for me

This was a much needed book. I enjoy some books that I can just sit down and read in one sitting and this was one of them. I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed the main characters and thought that this book was very well written.

Meet Ginny, 34, and Cassie, 55. Neighbours, and (very) unlikely friends.

Some women have it all. Others are thirty-four and rent a tiny flat alone because they recently found their long-term boyfriend in bed with their boss. Ginny Taylor is certain her life can’t get any worse. But then she meets her downstairs neighbour…

Cassie Frost was once a beloved actress, but after a recent mishap, she desperately needs a new publicist. And Ginny is a publicist who desperately needs a job – but can she be persuaded to work for the prickly woman who lives below her floorboards?

Ginny and Cassie are two very different women, but they have more in common than they’d care to imagine (or admit). And when their worlds collide, they realise that bad neighbours could become good friends…

Such a great read. Ginny and Cassie are so different, but damn it they are not also the same. Friendship has no age limits and one cannot just love them both.

Light reading with enjoyable plot and likeable characters. Some of the storylines were a little predictable but it was written with humour and a feel good factor.

This is a very quick read. Finished it in one sitting. I think the story is really good.! You immediately will fall in love with the characters and because it's a quick read, it's a perfect pallet cleanser after you've read an intense book which is what I needed.
