A romance story full of steamy moments and well deserves HEA.
I enjoyed this book more than I was expecting as it was my first by the author and didn’t exactly know what to expect. The characters are very well done and the writing keeps you engaged. The power balance is good as well.
Looking forward to more books by the author.

Even though I liked this romance, I kind of wanted more. I wanted more interaction, and more chemistry between the protagonists. It was a quick read. I received this advanced reader copy from Netgalley for my honest opinion.

The Proposition is part of a loose series by a number of authors. The stories involve people who belong to the M club. An exclusive club for the incredibly rich with sites around the world where they can relax and play. This story is about Orla who has little time for anything other than work and Cam who has inherited a huge amount of money after the death of his father that he doesn't want. When they meet one night at the club and have an amazing night together, Orla Propositions Cam, asking him to accompany him across the world helping her to relax in-between her work. He agrees as long as she agrees to leave what they do down to him.
Orla and Cam make a great couple, they both have their own issues with their fathers, but are able to begin to help each other work past them together. There are eight years between the two of them, but although Orla is the older, in many ways Cam seems to be the more mature. He certainly had his life together before his inheritance. Orla does little beyond work and her whole focus is proving herself to her father, who to be honest is fairly disinterested in her.
I enjoyed the way this story unfolded. Although the attraction between them was instant, it took much longer for love to develop and sometimes that just works far better in this kind of story. It was a great read and I'd certainly recommend it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I received this arc because of a mix up on Netgalley. The blurb and cover said the Proposition of JC Harroway, but I received the story of Her Intern from Anne Marsh.
Since they are all of the Dare Series, no problems here. I did have some problems with the story though. Devlin King is a 26-year old selfmade billionaire. His software company sells software for the checkout process on a webshop. When unexpectedly his software shows up online before it was sold, Devlin knows he has been robbed. He goed after the company who pirated his software to put them out of business. When he meets the CEO of this startup, she mistakes him for her new intern and hires him on the spot.
Devlin decides to go under cover as the intern to find out why Lola stole his software. He didn't expect her to be as spunky and sexy as she is. Neither did he expect the sparks flying between them. So they develop a strange sex relationship after work hours, while being intern and boss during work hours.
Although the story is flowing nice and the scenes are hot and steamy it still bugged me that Lola really didn't have an idea of who he was .come on, he didn't even use a false name. And there is that thing called Google who knows you even better than yourself.
So, nope. Didn't buy it and that made the whole story just not very believable. Therefore, three out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing me the (wrong) arc.

Out-of-this-world amazing. I was absolutely hooked. sexy!....CEO, a player and commitment-phobe romance with hot-under-the-collar action and all the feels! Author has hit this genre on the head and totally deserves more stars. If you like you stories hot, hot, great characters, sexy plot and HEA guaranteed then this book is for you. Happy reading!!

I am a big fan of Anne Marsh. I enjoy her paranormal series in the past and wanted to give this a try. Overall, I loved the initial meet cute of Dev and Lola but felt like this novel had alot of telling vs. showing. After the second meeting between the hero and heroine it fast forwards to two weeks later and skips pertinent details. While this story was good, I would have liked to have felt their connection more. As a result this story was a bit of a mixed bag for me.

Overall I enjoyed the hot chemistry but felt like this story was very rushed and disjointed. Dev and Lola had chemistry but it seemed like they were in their heads so much vs. showing us the dialogue and letting us experience their feelings. Don't get me wrong: This story was HOT but I wished for more between them. 3 stars! ~Ratula

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review.

I just couldn't read the book so I don't actually have an opinion, so ... yeah. Maybe when the status of the book gets changed and I'm able to download it my opinion will flourish.

Dev is a brilliant software engineer who takes great offence when the new product he plans to sell appears to have been stolen and sold illegally. He always builds a back door in to the software so he can render the software useless- but how they got the software is a bigger issue. But being a hotshot developer leaves little time for a social life and when he shows up on Liv’s doorstop to confront her he is more interested in getting to know the woman instead of busting her for stealing his software. But Liv was expecting a new intern at her door and Dev takes the opportunity to stick around under the radar.

A story of business, mentoring internship, under subtifuge, when a just to be released product is pirated.

Feelings are challenged, on a multitude of levels, that deepen and overcome the little white lie, that then becomes the elephant in the room of the relationship.

Ah but true love always finds a way to a happy ever after ending.

This book grabbed me immediately. It was a hot read, and I think I’ve found a new author to add to my favorites list. Lola and Devlin have a love-hate relationship that was both sexy and snarky. Their relationship starts out with a lie. Devlin is successful businessman convinced that Lola is responsible for pirating his software. He visits her company and soon finds himself agreeing to take the internship she offers him in a case of mistaken identity. He figures it’s the best way to figure out just how she ended up with his software, but soon finds himself enthralled by the quirky woman who seems to press all his buttons. It turns out Dev presses Lola’s buttons, too, and they end up skating a very thin line between business and pleasure. Soon that line blurs and they find themselves giving in to their attraction. And while neither is looking for a relationship, slowly they begin to share more of themselves and start to wonder where their attraction will lead them. Dev started out as a bit unlikable, but he managed to redeem himself. And Lola was strong and intelligent and determined to succeed in her business. Together the two were incredible. I loved the banter between them. The give and take kept me hooked. And when they gave in to their combustible attraction...! There were lots of sexy times, and boy were they hot. Dev and Lola were a great couple and I loved watching them fight each other and their feelings before giving in to fate. I highly recommend this book.
Note: I was given a copy of this book by the publisher in return for an honest review.

Lola and Dev meet up in a tale of withheld identity as Dev is misinterpreted to be Lola’s intern when he’s actually come to confront her about pirating software he developed. He takes on the intern role and their time together quickly takes on an adversarial relationship. Yet somehow are drawn to each other romantically. This book has more arguing than I like to read. Both characters show a quick temper which can be frustrating at times. I guess it can best be summed up as angry passion.

The character development present in this book was good. You got to see each character’s feelings throughout their relationship. However, I found the relationship itself to be quite boring.

Lola is starting an online business. Dev is a young silicon valley billionaire. Lola mistakes Dev for her new intern and when Dev doesn't correct her the fun begins!
They are so attracted to each otgrr, and even though Lola is older, she can't help but get involved with Dev.
JC Harroway has once again written a sexy, hot, funny romantic story for our times!
Thanks to #Netgalley for providing me with an advanced reading copy of #TheProposition in return for an honest review.

Okay, despite the mixup over which book this is, I loved it. I read Her Intern. Dev is a hot mess of a guy, but somehow it works. Lola is one of my favorite female characters ever. She's quirky, sweet, naive, and strong. I enjoyed watching them fumble their way to a HEA as much as the steamy scenes.

Dev has no problem moving his girl when need be, "...he tips me off his lap and onto the seat as he gets to his feet in one fluid, pantymelting move, more barbarian than white knight. To be fair, I just crushed his balls with my knee..." Lola doesn't throw hissy fits, "...she doesn’t beg or plead. She pulls it together enough to yell after me. “You’re the world’s worst intern.” Dev likes to have the last word, “you like it when I tell you what to do in bed.” She rolls her eyes..." I liked this book, I loved Dev.
