It was great to return to the Happily Inc series. Renee and Jasper seem like an unlikely pair: he's a military man dealing with PTSD and she feels unlucky in love. Her hearts been broken too many times and although all her friends that are couples are pregnant or having babies, she's not sure the risk is worth it. Jasper feels incomplete and needs to realize he's become ingrained in the fabric of their town. He's not a recluse any longer. As a writer of murder and suspense, he needs some inspiration and Renee is the woman he turns to.

You'll laugh and cry while returning to this great little CA mountain town that specializes in happily ever afters!

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher for my honest opinions.

Renee and Jasper's story is quintessential Mallery. Filled with humor and love, the characters are well developed, and their struggles are true to life. As another of the Happily Inc series, we get to reconnect with old friends as well. There are a few fun twists to this book that were a surprise, and they keep you turning pages long after the lights have gone out for the night.

Renee and Jasper both thought they wanted a no strings relationship. As they get to know each other and start healing from their pasts, they learn to stop being terrified of love and give it a chance. Cute story. I liked the character. Not one of Mallery's best books, but it was an easy, quick read.

As a longtime fan of Mallery, Meant to Be Yours was not one of her stronger books, but fans of Happily Inc. will be very pleased with the updates on their favorite characters. Renee and Jasper's story could have been a little more complex, but the addition of her mother and developments with secondary characters was really the focus of the story. Always happy when the two leads do, in fact, get their HEA.

Jasper and Renee have chemistry, lots of it. They both want easy no strings
sex and that's all. Well, you must read it to see how that turns out. I loved it.
I also loved catching up with the other residents of Happily, Inc. There is a surprise romance i didn't see coming.
Entertaining, fast paced and very good reading.
I recommend it.

I received an ARC from Netgalley and I am happy to give my honest review.

I have read most of the books in this series and I was happy to receive this book. It didn’t disappointment and left me with a big smile.

This book stars Renee and Jasper. She is a wedding planner at Pallas’s business and Jasper is a best selling author of serial killer fiction. They both have hangups stopping then getting into a serious relationship so they start a friends with benefit situation.

There’s always a lot going on in Happily Inc with lots of side characters and their lives. One qualm I have with Susan Mallory books is how busy and overwhelming they can be. I did enjoy both processes for planning a wedding and writing a novel. I liked both Renee and Jasper, though I connected more with Jasper. The biggest issue I had was Renee’s aversion to being in a relationship was flimsy at best.

Check this out if you like happy endings, rescue dogs and cats, and small town friends with benefits to more.

Hunky Vietnam Vet Jasper (who is not as “broken” as he thinks) is freshly returned from his book tour. A successful action adventure writer, he wants to finish off one series so he can start another but is flummoxed by his utter inability to write women. Enter Renee Grothen — wedding planning extraordinaire — who herself has given up on men after some very bad experiences. And guess where they both live? Happily Inc — a (fictional) wedding destination town with a real Disneyland flair. We learn this all in the first few pages and we know how it’s going to end — but the journey is fantastic.

I really don’t care for the romance genre but I read everything Susan Mallery writes. Her characters are interesting and nuanced (yes — sexy as well) and the plots are twisty and fun with captivating side stories. To start with, Renee works on theme weddings, and although I am personally not into decorations, weddings, etc, I loved hearing about the “Dallas Cowboys,” Nutcracker, and Apple themed weddings, just to name a few. Add to that a town that features an animal preserve, a horse ranch run by the adopted daughter of the King of El Bahar, and a woman who can actually sense what animals are thinking — and you have all the ingredients of a pretty engaging story. Some extremely well-written and steamy sex scenes as well. This is not a “cozy romance” — the attraction between our two is palpable rather than polite.

Fun read!

Susan Mallory is a national treasure
She is one of the best rom-com authors out there
Meant To Be Yours is about a wedding coordinator who really isn’t marriage material.
Of course she meets a great hunk who she can’t resist.
On the way, all sorts of obstacles pop up..
We are rooting for her but will she be successful at love.
A very enjoyable read.

So this was a great romance by Mallery. I just found out she has a series called Happily Inc. that I just heard of it. This is the 5th book in the series. I have read her other series and now want to go back and read the beginning of this one. Readers also get a nice bonus of a short story starring a woman we find out is the adopted daughter of a Crown Prince in the Middle East. She falls for a man living in Happily Inc. Since this book already spoiled they are together though I didn't really need that story to be included. Also not going to lie, the whole secret princess or prince romance trope never has done a thing for me. So I finished it, but loved "Meant to be Yours" much more.

"Meant to be Yours" follows wedding planner Renee and resident novelist Jasper. They have both seen each other around town, and Renee is hoping for a friends with benefits situation. She sees Jasper as wanting the same things she does, no ties, just banter, and hot times between the sheets. Of course things don't go according to plan.

Renee has a lot of secrets and it takes about a good quarter of the book to reveal them all. At first I was laughing at the reveal and didn't think it made a lot of sense, but it actually worked. She has a good heart, but is scared about opening herself up again. And due to her mother's past, is reluctant to have anything to do with animals (yeah you have to read the book, no spoilers).

Jasper is an ex-military policeman who is suffering from PTSD. He is now a best selling novelist and writes stories starring a detective tracking down serial killers. Jasper is in a fix though, he's supposed to end his series and his editor wants the main character married off or at least happy with someone. Trouble is that Jasper can't write women. At all. When he and Renee gets involved he gets some tips from her and I did laugh at him watching "women movies and tv shows" and that he reads Rory Gilmore for filth. Sorry, that whole part of the book had me laugh out loud.

What I did like besides the romance scenes was that there is a lot of development into these two characters and the rest of the town. We actually get Jasper doing something pretty crappy to Renee and apologizing and sincerely apologizing. We also get a behind the scenes look at weddings and unlike with the Nora Roberts series dealing with that, I wasn't bored to tears and wanting to wring people's necks because of all of the stupid acronyms they used.

The writing was really good and I would say that this book after ten years or so is going to read as dated since it mentions a lot of events and pop culture moments. Not going to lie though the Rory Gilmore things, still awesome. The flow was great though it felt like we were galloping towards a finish that I would have been fine if it took a bit longer.

The setting of Happily Inc. sounds great and like a fun little town.

The ending was sweet and as I said though the rest of the book shows Cade and Bethany's story which I had zero interest in. And it felt rushed compared to this one.

New books by author Susan Mallery are instantly added to my "To Be Read" list. She's just amazing at what she does- crafting great characters, bringing them together in creative ways, and wrapping things up with a satisfying "Happily Ever After".

This book was a fun opportunity to catch up with the many characters that readers have met and loved earlier in the "Happily" series. I enjoyed the peek into the writing process of our hero and the wedding planning life of our heroine, not to mention the special "gifting" of our heroine's mother!

This is not a complex story with crazy twists and turns. It's a warm and comfortable romance novel with a predictable outcome. Sometimes, though, that's just the story that you need. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to the next book in the series!

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. My thanks to #NetGalley, the author and the publisher for this opportunity. #MeantToBeYours

This is a fun story about a wedding planner, Renee, who hooks up with Jasper, a reclusive writer with PTSD issues with the intention on both sides to keep the relationship for mutual pleasure with no commitments. The more Jasper researches Renee and her job for his upcoming novel the more committed they become. It was an enjoyable peek into the subject of themed weddings tailored to the people involved.

I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Meant to Be Yours is another installment in another Mallory made town that was a joy to read. Renee is a wedding coordinator and hiding a secret part of her past that has brought much sorrow and pain. Jasper believes he's damaged and bound to a solitary life as a writer. The two begin a casual relationship with no involvement. Except both become attached and work through their many hurdles. With a cast of supporting characters, readers can't help but be enraptured with this community.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I love Susan Mallery books and I really like the Happily Inc series, however, this title fell flat for me and I really had to push to read it all the way through. I both main characters and seeing characters from previous Happily Inc stories, but this one was just so predictable and I found that to be kind of sad. I look forward to these books so much and this one was just not as good as the others.

MEANT TO BE YOURS is a marvelous journey into the world of weddings and love. The verbal sparring of the characters in Susan Mallery’s latest and greatest series is central to the story. Susan Mallery’s characters are lovable flawed beings. In MEANT TO BE YOURS the supporting cast of friends, prospective brides and grooms and pets are not meant to be scenery. Along with the stars of this book, Jasper and Renee, every character will linger in your heart and memory.

MEANT TO BE YOURS by Susan Mallery is about a man totally out of his element. Many smiles and lots of laughs abound in this joyous romp about a guy, Jasper, who has enjoyed a successful career writing crime novels. Jasper has hit a roadblock of sorts. His hero, Vidar, the star of his series needs a woman in his life. Jasper is simply put clueless. His past is full of random moments of angst and nightmares. He considers himself damaged and because of that stays away from any relationship that could end with commitment. And so has his literary star.

Now in Happily Inc. where the central industry is weddings Jasper gets a bright idea. Why not fashion the hero’s girlfriend after one of the female friends he has made in his new hometown. The list of possible girlfriends for Vidar are seemingly endless.

So Jasper arranges to be an invisible observer at the wedding venue. Weddings In A Box run by Renee who just happened to be his latest one night stand. I can see you smiling already. What you haven’t seen yet is that Jasper will be interacting with various vendors and you guessed it, they are predominately female, smart, ambitious and bossy. Jaspers first lesson is how to say yes ma’am and mean it.

According to Jasper his personal toolbox is better suited to wartime due to his stint in the military. Writing about romance is out of his comfort zone. In fact romance of any sort doesn’t exist in Jasper’s life. Well that was his life prior to moving to Happily Inc. Happily Inc. where love, romance and marriages are in the air.

MEANT TO BE YOURS is the fifth installment in the Happily Inc. series by Susan Mallery.
Susan Mallery is a treasure. She writes equally from the mind and heart. Her characters are likeable, loveable and unforgettable. So we revisit with some of our favorites.
In MEANT TO BE YOURS get ready to add two more. Renee and Jasper.

This book is part of the Happily Inc series but could be read as a stand alone. Renee is a wedding planner and Jasper is a best selling author looking for inspiration for his next book. The story is predictable but still enjoyable. It has a quirky cast of characters that were fun to read about. There is also a bonus short story at the end. I look forward to returning to this little town again. Thank you to net galley for a copy.

Very cute beach read! Enjoyable, sweeping romance story that while was predictable, was cute and indulgent nonetheless. Only problem? While the ending was cute, I wanted more!

Renee is a wedding planner and jasper asked if he can sit in on her meetings with brides and grooms to be since he is writing a book about a serial killer. Jasper adopts a dog when he is on a book tour. Renee is scared to meet the dog since her mom talks to animals. This was a really good book.

I was a bit disappointed that some of the characters from previous installments have disappeared. Overall the story was very cute and typical for the Happily, Inc series so far. I will have to say, however, that as I read this (and to be honest in all the other books) I keep trying to figure out who will be the next couple in series. Think I figured it out this time.
