I was so excited that it was finally time for Jasper's story! Previous books, we know that he is a writer and someone you want on your team when it is game night but not much else - well, besides the short time that he and Wynn were together!

He really meet his match with Renee who agrees with Jasper that a no-strings relationship is fine with her. As we follow along, we find out more of why Renee has these hang ups and how her past relationships were damaged by people's reactions to her strange mother.

It was great as we watch both Renee and Jasper grow in their relationship and I loved that Jasper was healing from his "brokenness" and had to have someone point it out to him as he still felt that he hadn't made any progress to healing.

Wow, I really felt the hurt when Jasper just steamrolled over Renee to get his way and glad that he did realize the impact of his actions!

Hope we keep getting more books from this Happily group as they are so much fun! And Wynn needs her HEA!!

This is a sweet adult romance. I enjoyed the writing, the stories around the wedding, and the little development with Renee's mother (I actually thought it strange at first but completely embraced it by the end of the story). Renee, the main character, annoyed me a little at times, to be honest, but I felt like Jasper was a good match for her. Their story is heart-lifting in a way that they brought back some form of acceptance into each other's hearts.

Though this is a sweet and enjoyable story, I was expecting a bit more sparks between the two characters. The love felt more of a sweet routine that blossomed into a relationship, but I did not feel the sparks or the want and need. Maybe, I started this book with the wrong idea. Anyway, this is still a good story in the end.

A fun addition to the Happily Inc series. I liked it.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I am so happy to dive back into Susan Mallery books again. She always know how to write a good romance story that makes you fall in love.

Meant to Be Yours will bring Renee story to life. Renee is very known in the community since she is the best in her field which would be wedding coordination. Which can be surprising to most people because it does not really scream for Renee. She is kinda known being strong-willed especially in the love field. But hey, don't be judging. Anything is possible especially Renee. And she is finding more luck when she finally gets a fling for a bit.

And that fling would be Jasper. Oh, I am loving Jasper character so much in Meant to Be Yours. He has no attention in pursuing in relationship because he knows it will be bad. But he definitely found a gem, Renee, when they decide to do friend with benefits. But friend with benefits is never perfect. Someone always end up with feeling some way some how.

Renee and Jasper relationship is definitely going to be the most interesting and fascinating thing to read. They have insane chemistry for each other that their relationship is real.

Four Stars

Another lovely romance set in Happily Inc, the land of weddings and romance galore. Jasper and Renee are two characters who are finding out that even though they feel broken, love can help to heal and repair them. I adored the character of Jasper and felt like he really drove the story forward as the author dealt with his PTSD and made him a realistic character. I will read anything Susan Mallery writes because her romance novels are full of good stories, passion and always leave me feeling a little bit happier. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

Meant to be yours is a book in a giant series. You can definitely read them as stand-alone a but I think I would have enjoyed this more if I would have known that these charters had so much of a backstory.

Meant to be Yours by Susan Mallery is Jasper’s story. I LOVE Jasper. He was in the military for 10 years and leaves with serious PTSD. He is convince he is too damaged for a normal relationship. He is now a thriller writer and trying to give his main character a love interest when he realizes he doesn’t know anything about women.
Renee is Pallas’ co – worker at the Weddings in a Box wedding planning business. She and Jasper hook up. They are convinced it will be a physical only relationship. He uses her to try and figure out women for his book. Renee is an okay character. I didn’t love her as much as some of the other women in the series. But Jasper is soooo worth the read. He is hunky and adorable as she tries to figure out what the right thing to do is. He messes up majorly several times but he realizes and apologizes.

I rated this book a 5 stars based on Jasper. I loved his character and the development of his character. how he learned from his mistakes. He would apologize and try to do better. he was so human.

sexual content - a few detailed scenes, with intention of sex only no feelings

I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review.

Susan Mallery meant to take our breaths away when she wrote Meant To Be Yours! A story with a charm of it’s own, we follow a wedding planner who, shock of all shocks, hasn’t fallen in love. A fun and light read, you’ll enjoy this story if seeing the underdog win and fall in is your thing.

Renee and Jasper are two career-driven and passionate citizens of Happily Inc. Coincidentally they're both single. In this book, Mallery tells of how these two quirky, lovable characters come together to form a friends with benefits type relationship. I truly enjoyed the first few chapters of this novel, as well as getting to know Renee and Jasper. Unfortunately there was a bit of a turn that brought the book down a few notches for me. It is not something I am used to as I am prone to books that are realistic, and this twist was fairly "out there." I don't want to give anything away, and I feel there are a lot of people who would thoroughly enjoy this novel. While there were parts I truly enjoyed, unfortunately, the big twist and the ending did not come together to make this a 5-star for me.

I joined the blog tour for this accidentally ( did not initially sign up but was added to the tour email chain, which made me think I had signed up! I did feature the book though) - I will read and update my review at a later date!

The story follows Renee and Jasper on their journey and I definitely rooted for both of them. Both have damaged pasts and Susan really gives plenty of depth to why they are both so relationship resistant at the beginning. I also thought they fit together well and their slow burn romance worked really well.

It was fun reading what life is like as a wedding coordinator and all the interesting requests from bride and grooms. Likewise, I enjoyed that Jasper is a successful thriller author and he hit a roadblock trying to write a romance for his main character. He eventually uses Renee as inspiration and life soon imitates art.

This is a cute, well-written story with, yes, plenty of steamy content and a believable romance. Take a break from disturbing thrillers and spend some with this one. I look forward to reading more books written by this author.

The small town of Happily, Inc. has become one of my favorite places in the book world and I’m glad to be back in the story Meant to be Yours. Renee Grothen plans weddings at Weddings in a Box and knows that marriage and love aren’t for her. When she finally meets thriller author Jason Dembenski she’s nervous because she’s fantasized about the handsome man many times and now he’s right in front of her. Jason Dembenski has also made Happily Inc his home since his car broke down here and found the town to his liking. Renee catches his interest too and once they establish a just sex fling, they find themselves doing everything but that. When he situates himself in a client’s wedding plans, she has to accept that he’s becoming a fixture in her life, and tries to deal with it without much fuss. Jason finds himself drawn to Renee for help and then realizes she’s become a muse for his present manuscript. Are Renee and Jason to move out of their comfort zones and look for something more?

Jason came to Happily, Inc feeling broken after his stint in the military and now with PTSD lives on the fringes. He treats women well but its only sex and nothing more. Somehow being with Renee is different. He needs to incorporate a woman character in his present work and she helps him see the feminine point of view. Renee herself has a scarred past and has definitely left her with a mindset that love isn’t in her future. Jason clumsily points out that she’s letting fear stand in her way. Though she didn’t take it well at first, she knew she had a choice to make. When they both realize that fear is standing in their way to happiness, the both come to a happily conclusion that love can work if they are willing to try.

Meant to be Yours is a great mixture of a budding romance along with the daily life of Happily Inc. It was an enjoyable story filled with drama, fun, and peculiar antics that only happen in Happily Inc. It’s always good to catch up with the other couples and find out how they are all getting along. Susan Mallery has a way of creating such wonderful towns and very likeable and relatable characters, it’s such a treat to read her stories. This story is another feather in her cap and a delightful addition to the series.

Disclaimer: I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley, HQN Books, and Harlequin Presents for this free copy.

So technically, this is Book 5 of a series, but when I was reading it, I totally feel like this could work as a standalone. So I wasn’t confused or anything too much when I was reading it. Yay, Harlequin for helping me understand this without having to binge read four books in a short amount of time!

Second, I don’t know what it is, but I always chuckle when I have a main character that works in the realm of love that somehow believes that it wouldn’t apply to them at all. So imagine my surprise and inner giggle to myself when I rad the synopsis and found out that… low and behold! One of our main characters is a wedding coordinator, but somehow feels like she’s not meant to have a wedding of her own.

Honestly, that sounds really tragic, but I get it. I got married and never had an extravagant wedding, or even a wedding at all. Does a courthouse wedding count? I wore a tie die dress specifically because I refused to wear white. Do I count as a rebel?

I personally liked that this gave some of the spotlight to supporting characters from the previous books – from at least some of the other reviews that I read before reading this book – so that was cool! I like when authors do that, especially when some of the supporting characters are apparently cooler than the original MCs. I feel like this may have been the case, but I’ll have to read the other books prior to making that full determination.

Since I’m not usually a romance person – but I’m doing my best to get more out there – I thought that this was a pretty nice example of a romance for not-romance people. If that makes sense. I didn’t feel like it was too sappy, and even though I may not know about everything that a wedding coordinator or an ex-military turned suspense author go through on a daily basis, I still felt like I was able to relate to some of their “regular” human habits and make it enjoyable for me.

This also kind of made me want to have an actual wedding one day, or at least see if there’s a company that does “Weddings Out of the Box” like Renee does. I’m kind of intrigued now. But yes, definitely give this one a try, or even the whole series! I think it’s pretty cool. I like flings that turn into serious relationships. It brings back memories.

A good heart and a soft touch could be the key to happily ever after or spell the beginning of the end for two broken soulmates. Meant to be Yours is an emotional minefield. Renee and Jasper are good people, struggling with baggage that has haunted them for years. When life throws a bone their way, can love step in and heal the unfixable parts of their souls? Mallery has a way with hearts. Even in the ugly moments, she never fails to let the sunshine in to somehow lighten the load. All it takes is a dash of humor, a ton of heart and unforgettable characters to brighten up the day.

I’m such a fan of Happily, Inc.! This love story features Renee - the wedding planner who doesn’t see a wedding in her own future, and Jasper - the brooding writer who goes from socially inept to Rico Suave when he’s with the girl he’s smitten with. My favorite parts are when the Happily Inc crowd spends time together in the pub - where Susan Mallery weaves new characters in with the old, and gives the reader well thought out, juicy updates for our favorite characters from past books. It’s at those moments I feel like I’m right there in Happily, Inc, rooting on Renee and Jasper, no matter how often they seem to sabotage themselves.

I don't think I'm the right reader for this book. I gave up on Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series because each story became so formulaic and predictable. I didn't realize when I requested this one that it's #6 in a series. I haven't read any of the others, but just from the first few chapters, I can tell it won't be my cup of tea. The characters are cookie-cutter, the dialog is wooden, and I guess if you've fallen in love with the whole town and want to see more of the familiar faces you already know, you might enjoy this. But I just couldn't get into it.

I do love Susan Mallery's stand-alones because they just have more energy and personality to them. I think I'll just stick with those from now on.

Renee is a wedding planner who thinks she has given up on a future with marriage and children. Jasper is a handsome, quirky, intelligent writer who thinks he is too damaged for a lasting relationship. But doesn’t love always find a way. At one point, I thought the story jumped the shark with Renee’s mom’s story and I put it down but I’m glad I picked it back up. It totally worked. Susan Mallery’s books are so fun and heartwarming and this one is no different.

This one wasn’t for me. While
I wanted to love the main characters, I didn’t connect with them or the story.

Renee has a wedding business and has not had luck in love. Jasper is ex-military and turns to writing to help him with PTSD. What’ll happen when the two meet?
Jasper is good at novel writing but has still to get his head around women and how they think and feel and act and why so he can write them into his novels somehow someday.
Will Renee be good inspiration?
Susan Mallery writes in a very fluid way, mixing sweet romance with charm and life’s ups and downs, all set against the small town setting of Happily Inc.
Meant to be Yours is the second book I have reviewed by Susan Mallery after the Buchanans novel Delicious.
Thanks to Susan Mallery and Harlequin Books for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review. 4 stars.
