It is wonderful to find books such as this one that tells us that Jesus can be found in every page in the Old Testament and not just in the New. I just bought a Bible journal and am looking forward to using the teachings in this book to make notes and illustrate wherever there is a prophecy about Jesus, or a foreshadowing. Karla Dornacher's drawings are lovely and appeals to my artist heart, and I am sure I will find inspiration from them.

This is a book to be savoured. I also like that additional supportive materials can be found online.

I found it intriguing to that Jesus could be found in the Old Testament. I know here and there they're prophecies of his coming weaved through it but there's more to it than just that.

Each lesson encourages you to engage with what the Bible passages that you are reading. The authors provide suggestions on how to mark up the biblical text, questions to answer based on the reading, commentary explaining biblical concepts, a devotional based on the passages, a bookmark and coloring page, and ideas for prayer and worship. Can't wait to get started!

What a beautiful book! This is an incredible way to dig into the Bible. The book is well written, beautiful and engaging.
I can't think of anything that could have been added to make this book better. Buy it, gift it, you will not regret it.
This is my first experience with the books in this series. I will be purchasing others!

The publisher provided an ARC through Netgalley. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts

I received an ARC of this book from Harvest House Publishers via NetGalley, this review is my personal opinion.

This devotional is a 6 week Bible study with each one for five days. Beautiful, well structured and I must say that this is the type of book you need a hardcover. The drawings and all the helpful information it feels like information on each day. This study is made for individuals and groups, perfect to go deeper in and learn more about what the Old Testament tells us about Jesus. Great book.

There were parts of this devotional I really enjoyed, but I feel like in order to truly enjoy it, you would need a paper copy of the book. Many of the features - like sidebars, illustrations, etc.. - are needed to be seen in paper to be truly appreciated. That being said, the content of the devotional was biblically rich and offered a unique perspective on glimpses of Jesus in the Old Testament. It was a great learning tool!

I'm becoming an advocate for combining art and faith. I am learning how the Lord has given us artistic creativity to express our praise and worship of Him. Everyone naturally accepts that of music and even of creative writing, but artistic rendering through brush and pen are sometimes neglected. I've been a fan of Karla Dornacher for a while and was super excited to check out this collaboration she is a part of!

Studying how Christ has been a part of history from the beginning fascinates me. This wonderful way of looking at Scripture brings new life and insight into the Old Testament as well as helps us to understand the redemptive nature of our Lord and Savior. I have heard sermons which traced Christ through the Old Testament, but have never completed a Bible study which solely focused on this. I really liked the simple format as well as the artistic application as well.

Each of the 12 chapters is divided into 5 daily readings. There are also artistic activities to go along with each chapter. These would be so very fun to do as a group! The projects should not be overwhelming to beginners (just like me!) and will open up lots of opportunity for discussion during creating. I love the coloring pages at the end which are great no matter your age. There are also beautiful bookmarks to correspond with the chapters as well.

The reader is encouraged to find their own creative outlet as well. There is a spring-board list of fantastic ideas in the appendix to get you started. I found this to be helpful to think outside of my personal creative box.

I plan to have my daughters work through this study this year. It is deep enough to challenge them, but not so academic that it will become drudgery. This would make for an interesting group study as well. I've been excited to read this title and look forward to working through some of the art activities as well. I think it would be fun for a high school girls study or young women too. I really see many applications for use!

This is a 12 week bible study that shows how Jesus fulfills the Old Testament. It has art for you to color or trace that relates to what you are studying. The art is beautiful! I will order this book as so as it is available. Thank you Harvest House Publishers via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

The creative part? The book is full of Dornacher's drawings that are perfect for coloring or for tracing and using in Bible and art journaling.
