I struggled to get into this book but once I did I enjoyed it. Nick was a good guy which is refreshing to read in the the hockey romance genre. Cami was hurt by her ex and didn't trust herself to get into a relationship. I liked her character a lot and identified with her. I would read this author again.

This was a good story, albeit a little predictable. There was just the right amount of spice for me. The character development worked well, so I felt like I knew Nick and Camille and felt comfortable with their characters. I did not read the first book in this series, but I did not feel at all lost, or like I had missed something, so it works well as a stand alone as well as being part of a series.
I don't want to give any spoilers, so I won't be specific, but there was a point toward the end where I got a little bored and fed up with the MC's hangups, which along with the predictability, is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. Overall, it was a nice read and I enjoyed it. Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for this honest review.

Ice Hard definitely packs in the steaminess, mix in that the hero is a bit of an alpha, yet sweet and kind. Makes Nick, a rather unique and intriguing character.

I truly enjoyed this read, normally I’m used to the hero being the one with commitment issues, but it was the heroine this time. She’s holding quite a few insecurities that stem from a previous relationship, but there’s also another reason that’s much more heartbreaking.

I honestly couldn’t handle how adamant Camille was about not having a relationship with Nick, even when they’re absolutely perfect for one another. Nick gets all the points for how patient and persistent he was with Camille, plus this guy knows how to make you swoon for days.

There’s a lot different elements in Ice Hard, loved the playful banter between them, also that they could reach other like a book, it was like looking into each other’s soul. I loved that Tracy touched on an issue that so many women could relate to.

My one huge dislike was Camille’s family, after everything she’s repeatedly done for them. They show zero appreciation towards her, what they’ve done was nearly unforgivable.

This one is definitely my favorite in the series and I’m hoping to see more of Nick and Camille in books to come.

Ice Hard is the second book in the New York Nighthawks series by Tracy Goodwin. The main characters of the first book appear quite often in this one, but each book is a stand-alone and features a different couple.

The main characters are Nick a hockey player and Cami who does not date hockey players because her ex-husband is one and ended up cheating on her. There is more to Cami's past, but I am gonna leave you to find out about it by yourselves.

My overall experience with the book was neither hot or cold. I liked some parts, while others not so much. Nick's teammates were fun to have around. Nick himself was a good man who cared about everyone and went for what he wanted.

What I disliked the most in this book was Cami. I couldn't understand her character. I also couldn't understand why she seemed to think that her father was not approving of her when in reality things were way different. He didn't seem like a man who didn't care. Cami for the whole book was the one who kept insisting that her relationship with Nick would end sooner rather than later and she was the one who was always pushing away. It was annoying and she should have been the one doing the groveling.

Overall, the book had some good and some bad moments, so I will remain neutral on the recommendation.

Ice Hard was a fun romance with a satisfying HEA. Nick is a swoony hockey player who has two personas. He has his "hockey persona" as the alpha male dominating player on the ice who takes no crap. Then he also has the sensitive side that opens himself up to Cami I search of the connection and relationship that his best friend has found with his wife. Cami has been through a bad relationship with her ex-husband who unfortunately was also a hockey player but not a loyal one. Nick has to prove himself to Cami and be sure she knows he is NOTHING like her ex.

To make things even more complicated, Cami is dealing with drama within her family. This may push her into leaving town in search of other job opportunities and a fresh start. The only thing holding her back is her fledgling relationship with Nick but she's unsure of where it's really heading.

I loved this book. Nick really was a great character. Who doesn't love an alpha male who can still be caring and loving?! He was the ultimate! I look forward to reading more by Tracy Goodwin!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Ice Hard is a heartwarming story. Nick realizes he wants what his friend has; a meaningful relatioship, at his friends wedding. When he meets Camille, he believes he has found the right woman. All he really wants is someone whom he can be himself around. Camille had things happen in her past that hurt her confidence. This couple have great chemistry and a lot in common. Their sarcastic personalities and love of music were great to read. They have emotional obstacles to overcome. I like how the characters grew throughout the story.

Ice Hard is well-written and easy to read, and it might be my favorite in the sereies so far.. It is a great addition to the New York Nighthawks series. It has a good plot, interesting twists, family drama, and entertaining hockey scenes with Cami’s ex. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I enjoy hockey books, and this one did not disappoint! I loved the characters, the underlying reason for Cami to not want to get involved with anyone, Nick’s reactions to everything…SCORE!

There were deep, emotional moments, extremely hot moments, a great storyline, and the characters were great! This is the second book in the New York Nighthawks hockey series written by romance author Tracy Goodwin. I would recommend reading book 1 first, but it isn’t absolutely necessary. The characters do move forward into this one, though. It is a quicker dual person POV read. I really liked this one and would give it 4.5 stars (rounding up to 5)

I really enjoyed Nick and Cami’s romance. I loved the banter and snark from Cami and fell hard for Nick. I enjoyed see them grow together and Cami opening up and letting her guard down. Cami’s repeated internal struggles and her family were a bit to take at times, but overall, I really enjoyed this book. The epilogue was fantastic!

I love all the secondary characters. The team is a great bunch and I can’t wait for more of their stories!

**4.5 Fiery Hearts!**

*I received this book free from Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley.*

Camille doesn't date, especially not hockey players. She's been there, done that, and got the emotional scars to prove it. All she wants is to take over her family's restaurant, but what she wants means littler to her family.

Nick has seen his best friend find love and now it's looking more and more appealing. He wants a happily ever after too, but the girl he wants it with keeps blowing him off. And he is persistent, although he won't wait forever.

He's fierce in his love for her.

Ice Hard is a great addition to the New York Nighthawks series. I loved the witty banter between Camille and Nick; it made for an emotionally interesting read. There's humor, a little heartache, surprise encounters that sometimes can be very interesting (mostly funny), and characters who liven up the pages.

The only thing that drove me crazy was that Nick kept referring to her by Cami and Camille, back and forth, in the same paragraphs. It kept me from fully connecting to her because I kept stumbling. Other than that it was a very good book and I enjoyed the storyline immensely.

The Nighthawks are back and if you love to read hockey romance than this is a definite must click for you. I loved the family ties that is all over this newest release that doesn’t disappoint. Nick and Cami were great characters that had strong chemistry and sizzling attractions that made for some hot loving. You can feel the emotions of Cami’s character finding love again and dealing with family was a tear jerker. I couldn’t ask for a better men than Nick to make her see that there is the right person for her. I fell in love with their story and this series that gets better and better. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

This is book #2 in the New York Nighthawks series and Nick George's story. Nick is Christian Chase's best friend and now the best man in his wedding. This story starts at Chris' bachelor party and has Nick wishing for a special relationship of his own. At the bar where the party is held, Nick catches the eye of a bartender, Camille Benetti. Cami is attracted to Nick but has sworn off hockey players because of her past.

Cami's dream is to own her family's Italian restaurant but her old-fashioned father won't allow it. Nick keeps pursuing Cami until she finally agrees to be his date for Chris' wedding. What Cami didn't realize was that Nick was playing for keeps and he was going to convince Cami that she belongs with him always. It will take a huge leap of faith from Cami to finally commit to Nick but once she does they have a perfect happy ending.

I just adored Nick. He may be tall, sexy and alpha but he is also a squishy teddy bear deep down inside. He was the perfect person to help make Cami's dreams come true. I liked Cami, but at times she was so afraid of her past you just wanted to shake her so she would see what was right in front of her. Luckily she came to her senses quickly. Overall this was a fun addition to this series.

This is an enjoyable hockey romance. This is the first book that I’ve read by Tracy Goodwin but I will check out more books by her. Nick was a real nice, thoughtful guy while Cami was more reserved and definitely didn’t want to date a hockey player. It’s a good thing Nick knows what he wants and how to win Cami’s love and trust.

ICE HARD is the second instalment in Tracy Goodwin’s contemporary, adult NEW YORK NIGHTHAWKS erotic, hockey romance series focusing on the professional hockey team the New York Nighthawks. This is professional hockey player Nick ‘the Dominator’ George, and bartender/bookkeeper Camille ‘Cami’ Benetti’s story line. ICE HARD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Cami and Nick) ICE HARD follows the building relationship between professional hockey player Nick George, and bartender/bookkeeper Camille ‘Cami’ Benetti. Cami Benetti doesn’t do relationships, especially relationship involving professional hockey players but meeting Nick George at his best friend’s bachelor party gave Cami thoughts about second chances. Having learned her lesson in the past, Cami struggled with the potential for infidelity on the road but Nick George was nothing like Cami expected. Nick George is the perfect man for our story line heroine although Cami battles between head and heart believing heart break is waiting for the opportune time. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Cami and Nick, and the potential fall-out as Cami struggles with family betrayal, and heart break from the past.

Cami Benetti has one goal in mind-owning and operating the family run Italian restaurant but having spent her entire life proving herself worthy, Cami knows it is only a matter of time before she finds herself on the outside looking in. Past betrayal has left Cami broken and hardened to the idea of never finding love, but finding Nick George means the possibility of second chances. Nick George wants what his best friend and fellow hockey player has-his own happily ever after, and Nick believes he has found it in our heroine Cami Benetti but convincing Cami she is worthy will take more than simple wooing and love.

The relationship between Cami and Nick is one of immediate attraction but Cami refuses to give into Nick’s attempts to flirt and seduce. Only promising one night together, with no strings, Cami will soon discover Nick is the real deal. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including Nick’s fellow teammates: Christian Chase and his fiancé Serena (Ice Hot #1) ; teammates Theo ‘Thor’ Ture, Damon ‘the Demon’ DeLaurentis, Ryan ‘Lucky’ McGee, and Alexi ‘The Vamp’ Vladislav; Cami’s best friend and cousin Sally Benetti, and Cami’s siblings including Mike (and Kayla), Matty, Beth (and Scott), and Ben, as well as their father Tony Benetti.

ICE HARD is a story of family, friendship, past betrayals, and moving forward. The fast paced premise is engaging and captivating; the characters are numerous, energetic and flirty although the Benetti clan leaves something to be desired; the romance is seductive and intense. ICE HARD is a welcome and wonderful addition to the author’s New York Nighthawks hockey romance series.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and it was a good read. This is book 2 in the series but can be read as a standalone. I love a good sports romance. Nick and Cami were a great couple. The storyline was a bit predictable in parts but there were parts that they dealt with real issues that they needed to overcome to be able to move forward in their relationship. I loved the epilogue and being able to catch a glimpse of their future.

Tracy Goodwin has a clutch performance with Ice Hard (New York Nighthawks, #2). This is Nick George’s and Camille Benetti’s story. Nick is the best friend and teammate of Christian Chase (New York Nighthawks #1). The book starts out at Christian's bachelor party. Nick is Christian’s best man. After watching Christian and Serena, Nick realizes he wants a meaningful relationship; then he meets Camille. The two hit it off, but Camille wants nothing to do with a hockey player. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

Ice Hard is a heartwarming story. Nick wants someone whom he can be himself around. Camille had things happen in her past that hurt her confidence. The two have great chemistry and a lot in common. I enjoyed their sarcastic personalities and love of music. They have emotional obstacles to overcome. I like how the characters grew throughout the story.

Ice Hard is well-written and easy to read. It is a great addition to the New York Nighthawks series. It has a good plot, interesting twists, family drama, and entertaining hockey scenes with Cami’s ex. I recommend this book to people who enjoy sports romances. Love this book & this series! This was such a great story of a hot hockey player with a heart & a sassy, sexy woman who steals that heart. Highly recommend reading this fast paced, fun, & romantic story!

Nick isn’t just your typical hockey player, he’s a really great guy who likes to read about everything, a thirst for knowledge. When Nick meets Camille, he feels something and though she says she doesn’t get involved with jocks, Nick is set on changing her mind.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable read from Tracy Goodwin and I love the way she brings her characters to life, in such a realistic way. Waiting for her next book!

Ice Hard is the second book in Tracy Goodwin's New York Nighthawks series. I loved the first book in the series but loved this one even more!

Nick, a pro hockey player, and Cami, a restaurant owner, were perfect together. I found it refreshing that Nick was the one wanting to settle down and Cami was really only looking for one night. Nick was sexy, sweet, cocky, and dorky all wrapped into one and I loved that he was himself around Cami. Cami was very guarded but eventually let her walls down for Nick and accepted that he was not at all the playboy hockey player she thought he was.

I definitely recommend this one! I can't wait for the next book in the series.
