Props to this book for putting a lot of thought into the layout! The graphics at the beginning of each chapter and page dividers between chapters were all so cute. The writing was simply and easy to read, which will definitely help lure more kids in to read this book. The author manages to capture the confusion and uncertainty of starting high school in a really authentic way. Things often feel way more dramatic than they are, but that doesn't negate the feelings The plot was cute and cliche, and overall I think this would be a fun read for middle schoolers and early high schoolers.
