I absolutely love this series. Bridget is probably my favorite heroine to date. I loved the romance, the suspense and the action in this book. Wanted to keep reading to find out what's happening next. I have read most of her books but I'm definitely anxiously awaiting the next I'm this series.

This is the third installment of Rebecca Zanetti's Deep Ops series and features Raider and Brigid. I've enjoyed the series because the characters are quirky and there is a lot of action.

Between poor life decisions, PTSD, and a dog with a drinking problem, I appreciate that the writer does not make the characters take themselves too seriously. They all recognize they are a little out there and are coping with things in their own ways.

Brigid and Raider are an opposites attract kind of matchup that is hot and heavy. They fight, they love, they work together to bring down human traffickers, the mob, and a corrupt politician. And they have fun while doing it.

Fallen by Rebecca Zanetti is the second instalment in the Deep Ops series [There is a book Hidden and a novella Taken]. The main character is Brigid, a fierce young red haired Irish American lass whose father is ex-mob. Brigid is said to have had a brush with the law herself with a Robin Hood’esque history of offences in relation to computer hacking. As a result she is working for Deep Ops in order to avoid returning to jail.

The problem is, Deep Ops current operation involves investigating her father Sean due to his recently revived contacts with the mob. Brigid believes he is innocent and in any other world would be nowhere near this investigation but finds herself smack bang in the middle of this one. Her handler, Raider is to be introduced by Brigid to Sean as her new fiancé so they can work the case from inside.

The Deep Ops are a band of merry men and women physically and emotionally impacted by their law-making history and personal experiences with trauma. Fallen touches on each of their circumstances, some more of a focus than others and weaves them throughout the story. This investigation occurs within the context of a larger investigation linked to Angus and the character they are chasing Lassiter, continues to elude capture allowing for another Deep Ops instalment.

The chemistry between Brigid and Raider is clear from the outset. And they find themselves in some incredible situations within this short period of time. Their relationship goes from 0-100 but I’m not sure I was totally convinced as their personas were a little cliched (ex foster kid turned protector cop) and little Irish firebrand rebel. I enjoyed most of the action and psychology though there are probably too many in the group with issues, you wonder how any work is effected.

Would I read another Deep Ops book? Definitely. I would recommend them but suggest readers leave any notion of common sense or knowledge of police procedures at the door as some of this is really beyond belief.

Thank you to Rebecca Zanetti, Kensington Books and Netgalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I am loving this series so much and Raider and Brigid's story is absolutely fantastic! I love both of their characters!! This book has all the elements of a romantic suspense that I love and then some. There is also a nice dose of humor injected into the story via Rosco's antics. Not going to say anything else about that but you will LOL for sure! There are some other colorful characters on the team too that will make you LOL. Such a great bunch of people!
Brigid and Raider are basically going undercover as an engaged couple. There is clear attraction between the two and obvious chemistry for sure, but this might not be the best time for an office romance. Can their fake engagement turn into a real romance? Will the case they are working on come between them? Will they give in to what they feel for each other?
This story is fast paced and totally awesome and I cannot wait for the next book about Wolfe, Broken.

I was a little bit disappointed after the first book in this series (mainly because of the overall story line was a tad boring for me), but this second book was so much better! This book grabbed my attention from the start and I ended up gobbling it up in one night. Filled with lots of action, drama and suspense, this story line was so much more engaging and definitely left me wanting more from this group of characters.

One thing I love about Rebecca Zanetti is that she creates characters that you can't help but love, and I really love this group of misfits (and that includes Roscoe and Kat). The dialog is definitely my favorite things about this series, along with the chemistry between her romantic leads. The tension between Brigid and Raider in this book is amazing and I loved how their story played out. Really looking forward to the next book in the series!

Rebecca Zanetti win’s again! So do I, and so will you as soon as you get your copy of this book! Ms. Zanetti takes us right back to the world of the Homeland Defense Department’s deep-ops divisions. A division headed by the grumpy Angus Force. In book one, we were introduced to Malcolm and Pippa who, in book two, are settling in together in a home they now share. They make appearances, but this story revolves around Brigid and Raider. What a team.

Brigid is a computer hacker and somewhat of a genius. She broke into a federal database and...got caught. She is pulled out of prison for the sole purpose of helping Angus and the team catch her father who they believe is in cahoots with some very bad people. Angus has to have her watched 24/7 to comply with her release agreement. Her guard/bodyguard is Raider.

You know that good-looking, well-dressed guy standing in the corner being quiet and watchful? The one who looks like billy badass with class? That’s Raider. He’s sure that his extreme talents are being wasted on a contrary computer geek, but he’s doing his best. He is not received well when Brigid takes him home to meet her father. Daddy-O is not impressed.

My favorite alcoholic dog is still around, but the cat named Kat is staying mostly with Pippa. All of the other characters are still around. Ms. Zanetti hasn’t killed anyone off just yet, although there have been a few injuries.

BTW, the next book in this series, Broken, will feature Wolfe (don’t ever call him Clarence!) and his reporter friend, Dana. Psst...it could involve a BDSM club! CAN’T WAIT! Grab this book and join me in indulging in this steamy, funny, exciting series.

Enjoy! ARC provided by Kensington Books and NetGalley for an honest and voluntary review.

Book 2 in Deep Ops, Fallen is a well written romantic suspense. Raider and Bridget are well suited, and you can feel the connection between them. Suspense, Intrigue and a fabulous cast of well-developed characters, this is definitely a keeper and one I will be recommending to other as I wait anxiously for the next book.

Hidden was the first in this Deep Ops Series; but Fallen can be read as a stand alone. Love the stories and the characters that Zanetti comes up with. Sprinkling of Kat and Roscoe only adds more to love about her books. Warning a faulty elevator and a dark basement grace the pages of this quick - can't put down drama. "A copy of this book was provided by Kensington via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

4 1/2 Star Review....

FALLEN is the second full-length story in Rebecca Zanetti’s Deep Ops series and packs a serious punch! Riveting, mesmerising, high octane and heart pounding adrenaline rush, are just some of the ways I would describe this book. Raider is everything you would expect of a Zanetti Hero, with his Alpha persona and his swoon-worthy sexuality, while Brigid intelligent, strong and vulnerable too, which only made her more endearing. Heart stopping suspense and explosive action are always front and centre in these books and FALLEN lived up to all my expectations. I’m sure I won’t be the only reader anxiously awaiting the next dynamic instalment of this thrilling series!

As noted this is book 2 in the Deep Ops series. You can read this as a stand alone but I recommend reading book 1, Hidden. As good as Hidden was, Fallen pretty much knocked it out of the park. This gang of misfits, hearts of gold, the pets are being stomped on, smothered, (by their own higher ups) threatened, lied to as they go about saving the world, or their little corner. There is action both in and out of the bedroom, there is laughter, there is romance, family, hurt hearts, suspense and so many twists and turns that set me on my butt. Read book 1, Hidden, Read Book 2 Fallen and batten down the hatches for the rest of this series. Thank you for the arc Kensington Books, Rebecca Zanetti and Net Galley. It's a wild ride! All thoughts and opinions are my and were unsolicited.

What a great adventure this book was! Mobsters, hidden treasure, undercover agents, firey redheads, a crazy dog and lots of action! LOVED Raider and Brigid's story!

This book takes us back to the HDD band of misfits. Things are going to come to a head for this group around their fearless leaders obsession pretty soon I think. In the mean while, they are taking side jobs that no one else wants and trying to keep the world safe.

Loved seeing the whole team again. Really liked how Brigid and Raider just seemed to click. going under cover just spurred things along for them. Can't wait for the next book. The sneak peek was AWESOME!

Hacker Brigid Banaghan hates the undercover work she’s forced to do after getting caught by the HDD. She’s placed with a washed-up Deep Ops unit and is supposed to report on all activities. It isn’t long though before her loyalties shift and she’s placed in the awkward position of lying to both parties.

Her growing attraction to Raider Tanaka doesn’t help. He’s her pretend fiancé in a mission to capture a group of human traffickers involving a mob her father had previous ties with- or was it in the past? She’s determined to prove his innocence and capture those who are behind the ring.

Raider isn’t happy having the inexperienced Banaghan along on an undercover sting operation. He’s supposed to be her handler- he can’t afford to be distracted by the Irish beauty, but her plucky spirit and vulnerability draws him to her.

The action is fast-paced, with the good guys taking as many hits as the bad guys, but offset by humorous characters, (like Roscoe, the high-heel wearing PTSD dog) and snarky interactions that had me laughing-out-loud.

The Romance between Raider and Brigid is hot and sexy, with enough chemistry to burn up the pages, and had enough misunderstandings to make me want to bang their heads together!

I give Fallen 5+ lovely kisses- Loved this book!

The perfect blend of romance, humor and action-packed danger. I quickly lost myself within its pages and devoured this over the long weekend. I laughed, held my breath, swooned and sighed when it was over.

I cannot wait for the next installment. Go grab Fallen and if you haven’t done so, the first book, Hidden and the novella, Taken.

You are gonna love this motley crew and their romances. Oh and grab a mocha frappe because I guarantee you’ll be craving a sweet coffee drink before the end of chapter one. Fair warning! 😍☕️

Holy hotness Batman! I knew I was going to love ❤️ Raider but whew....he was a big ole bundle of loving alpha badassness! Brigid was a little timid at the beginning but grew into badassery too! (Badassery is a word btw).

In Fallen the gang is all together to solve another dangerous mission. This one, going after the monsters that killed Taneka’s partner....and Brigid’s father is the way in. There is suspense, kittens in pockets, alcoholic short averse dogs, steam, and awesome characters! Raider and Brigid (the cop and the hacker) were perfect! The story perfect! Can I just say the entire book was perfection! But, what Rebecca Zanetti book isn’t perfection?

We also get some interactions between Wolfe (I am so in love with Wolfe) and Dana, as well as Force and Nari. Oh boy things are getting so good!!!!! My only negative....the book ended. I can never get enough of Rebecca’s books!

My recommendation: Read this book, series NOW! Don’t wait, don’t let it sit on your tbr shelf, because you will just be missing out on badassery and perfection!!! Now begins the wait for Wolfe’s book ❤️❤️❤️!

I love everything Rebecca Zanetti writes, she is one of my favorite authors so I always have high expectations when I read one of her books. This is the second book in her Deep Ops series and it is even better than the first one. The characters are complicated and the plotline is intricate. Brigid and Raider are explosive! The only flaw is I can't wait for the next book in the series. A must-read for fans of high-quality suspenseful romance novels.

Zanettis is such a great storyteller. Fallen is full of suspense, action, romance and a sense of quirky humor that will keep you grinning and gasping until the end.

I love Rebecca Zanettis books. I love the action and the romance, the mystery and snarkiness mixed with vulnerability for her characters. This book fell a little flat for me. I felt like there were several jump aheads in the plot that I would have liked more detail on. As well as some holes in it. Like when she said she had never met Dana, but in fact met her in a shoot out earlier in the book. I still love this author and will, continue to devour all her books!

With this book the team seems to be hitting its stride, working well together. With how Raider and Brigid were thrown together I knew they would end up as a couple by the end of the book. It wasn't a smooth path for them. They had to get past Brigid's father and what he did earlier in life, get past Brigid's past and her computer crimes. This second issue seemed more serious, probably because it hit so close to home and breached the trust everyone on the team has been building. I was happy that they all gave Brigid a chance to explain things.

I thought it telling how much Brigid's father played into things. I didn't trust him at the start, but by the end of the book when he and Raider had a heart to heart I was smiling.

I loved how as things broke a choice was made to make things very public so they couldn't be hidden away, the bad guy not having to pay. The secondary effect of this was a big FU to the powers that be at HDD, which honestly they had coming to them.

I can't wait to read more in this series and to see what the events of this book have on the future.

This is the second book in the Deep Ops series and technically can be read as a stand alone novel. However, this gang of misfits will have you wanting to read the first book just to see more of their antics. Even though there is humor, this is a romantic suspense novel, so don't expect comedy on every page. This was a very enjoyable story with plenty of twists and turns as it seems that everyone is keeping secrets, even the supposed good guys. Looking forward to more from this series especially from Agent Force and Nari.

With Fallen we get Brigid and Raider's story, the hacker and the Fed. You could feel the tension between these two from the first moment they were introduced in book one, so I'm thrilled to finally get there story.

It's time for these two to have their first mission where they take point through a connection with Brigid's father. Turns out he has a past life she never knew about which has drawn her into danger and has Raider fighting to keep her safe.

I feel like we really got to know Brigid and Raider. A lot of their past and their motivations were revealed that just added another piece to the puzzle of this rag tag Deep Ops team. Raider won me over with his fierce protection of Brigid, and Brigid was a great heroine. She was sensible, and smart, and a vital part of the team with her hacking abilities.

Wolfe is still my favorite character, well...next to Roscoe the dog. That dog is crazy and gives me great joy, but I'm so excited to find out that Wolfe and Dana's story is next!
