Adorable, and classic Janet Dailey. I love a good JD novel. The characters are always well written. The stories are always full of spunk and spirit. The romance all though expected also has passion.

A very sweet family Christmas story. Rush is missing the little girl he calls his own. He is putting down roots in his new home. Tracy is trying to get over the death of her husband and dreading Christmas. Claire is an adorable little girl who is hoping for a Christmas miracle. These three will bring nothing but joy in your heart. You will be excited as you read how smart and funny Claire is. As she brings Rush and Stacy ever closer together you will get to go with them as their miracle comes true.

What a wonderful Christmas story!

Rush aka Dr. Rushford has been attracted to the local judge since he appeared before her almost a year ago. Now she calls the vet for help with a stray cat that's appeared on her doorstep. Add in a sick dog, a precocious chikd, and a small town of matchmakers and the story's complete. I'd love to see additional stories about Rush's partners.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher for my honest opinions.

It's a Christmas Thing is a bittersweet yet heartwarming story that could easily happen. Thank goodness, author Janet Dailey does not leave the reader with the way she begins the book. Veterinarian J.T. "Rush" Rushford doesn’t have much to celebrate this Christmas. My heart went out to this man but knew that it could realistically happen.

As the story progresses, Rush finds hope and a second chance at love with Judge Tracy Emerson. Tracy has also suffered losses in her life so it is a wonderful story of her also having a second chance for love and a family too. In addition, it doesn’t hurt that she has an excellent working knowledge of the law.

Well-written so that it is an easy to follow without getting bogged down with extras. I enjoyed this story with new loves, a sweet girl and kittens too.

It’s a Christmas Thing is second in the Christmas Tree Ranch series; Branding Iron has great Christmases and characters! Perfect for a standalone, but you even better in sequence.

Both Rush and Tracy are starting new lives having lost a loved one. Tracy’s husband passed away. Rush’s wife admitted their daughter Clara was not his and she was going back to the father. Rush is in Branding Iron, living on a ranch, with friends as he heals from that shock. Tracy 's husband passed away and she is struggling to move on. She is a judge in town of whom Rush had taken notice. She did not at the time.

As a vet Tracy called Rush for help with a new found cat. This is where their relationship really begins. They are just building a friendship, when Clara is dropped in Rush’s lap for Christmas while her mother and baby daddy are away on a holiday cruise.

This really is a charming story. Clara seems to know a lot about shopping and appears to be older than her years, indicating she may be extremely bright and soaks up everything. During the times she is demanding Clara appears more the age of a four-year-old. Either way, she is a cutie. For a light-hearted Christmas story, this would be a great afternoon read. You never go wrong with a Janet Dailey book!

I liked this story about two people who are trying to overcome heartbreak and opening themselves up to love. He recently lost his wife and daughter when she admitted that the daughter was another man's. She lost her husband and isn't ready to move on. Or so she thinks. When a furr baby is about to have kittens, she calls on the vet. She realizes how good looking he is, but she doesn't want to because she doesn't think she should be moving on. He vows to stay away because he doesn't want to fight a ghost for her affections. Just how do these two people find happiness, or are they destined to be alone?
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

I love Janet Dailey's fictional town of Branding Iron and all of the characters in it. I liked J.T.'s character. He was kind and did not deserve the blows he had in the past before the story started. I enjoyed Tracy as well. She was a strong woman who was able to get past her loss and move on to a new relationship. I hope that this series continues. I liked this story as it was an uplifting happy ever after story and that is just what you are looking for in a Christmas story.

Well, I really wanted to like this and give it 5 stars but there was a character that I felt wasn't right. Rush is a wonderful vet, does everything for the animals and he loves his daughter to no end. Tracy is a recently widowed judge still grieving over her husband. The two of them have a lot to deal with but add his daughter to the mix and a few cats the story becomes very "cute". Except his four year old daughter is more like ten in personality. I have two kids and they both spoke very early on but the way this girl talks she should not have been four. The author should have made her a bit older if she wanted her to converse the way she did. The story seemed to take away from Rush and Tracy's relationship once Clara entered the picture, it was a bit over the top. My copy came through Netgalley, the review was voluntary.

This was a sweet story about finding love and becoming a family at Christmas. It had endearing characters including furr family. The vivid descriptions made me feel like I could visualize the scenery. This was a good story and I would recommend it.

Perfect if you're looking for a light quick read with a happy ending! Rush was crushed when his wife left him and then added insult to injury by informing him that Claire is not his biological child. He's thrown himself into his work as a vet. Along the way, he met Tracey, a widowed judge. Amazingly , when Claire needs watching over Christmas, she ends up with Rush and then Tracey figures out a way to keep them closer. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. There aren't any surprises here. There's light romance, there's animals, there's a cute kid, there's good thoughts.

As a long-time fan of Janet Dailey’s books, I was somewhat disappointed with this one. Just felt that it dragged on a bit.

This Christmas book has some of my favorites in it. A Christmas tree farm, a handsome vet and kittens. I appreciate the time that Rush is willing to give Tracy to mourn her late husband. He lets her know that he is interested and there for her without being pushy.

A heart-warming and occasionally heart-breaking romance. Family issues. Sweet tale with a four year old girl at the heart of the story. Could I use the word 'heart' any oftener? Sorry! This was a one day read for me.

This is a Christmas story about a small town romance. Rush is a Vet who recently lost a daughter he thought was his. Tracy is the local Judge, going through her own recent loss.
The plot is predictable and feels like a syrupy Hallmark movie. It's a quick read that will appeal to anyone that enjoys the wrapped up Holiday romances. Any easy afternoon escape into something sweet.

Branding iron,Texas late October
Jt rushford is driving out of town. He had been up since 2 am with a colicky mare.he is a traveling vet. He wanted to build a clinic on the Christmas tree ranch but didn't have the time or money. There are Halloween and Christmas plans for the ranch.Jt gets a surprise call to care for his daughter during the holidays. I didn't care for his ex but loved the budding relationship with Tracey. Although I though it was a little quick after her husband's death.

This was a charming feel good story that would be good at Christmas of course. To be honest, it would be good at other times as well.
The people came across as real, the community and close friends did as well. The emotions were solid and things in the town and the Christmas holiday there were well written.

Both Rush and Tracy (the lady judge) and even Claire deserved a H.E.A. Keep watching, it's coming. The twist towards the end I could see coming but still enjoyed it.
Epilogues are always welcome and this book had a good one.

“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

I loved the characters in this story, especially precocious little Clara. Each character brings a different depth to the overall story. The good, bad and ugly of life is portrayed in a real manner that readers can emphasize with. I enjoyed the magic of Christmas through Clara's eyes. Recommended!
