This is the 3rd book in this wonderful new series by Jody Holford. I have read and enjoyed the entire series. I highly recommend this series for your reading enjoyment. The author has created a charming setting,. great likable charcters and fun mysteries with twist and turns to keep every reader guessing.
Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinions are my own.,
In this next installment we happily return to the charm of Britton Bay on the Oregon coast.. Our favorite protagonist Molly is back enjoying her job as a editor on the local newspaper. She loves her new home town,, her job and has a love interest to keep her busy in between solving mysteries. .
Molly has agreed to cover a exhibit of vintage automobiles. Her boyfriend, Sam Alderich will be attending as his car business is sponsoring the event. They are enjoying the event until they find a body in one of cars of the co founder of the event. Suspects abound with everyone present suspected even the victim's much younger wife and people he had disagreements with. Molly must find out the truth behind his murder and stay out of trouble while she solves the murder.
The sleuth was well written and kept me guessing to conclusion. I like the supporting charcters and they all add depth to the story. The protagonist is smart savvy and independent. All in all this was a great addition to this fun series with all the charming aspects of a cozy mystery series to love.

Another good instalment in this lovely series.
It's entertaining and fun to read, the cast of characters is well developed and likeable and the setting make you with to be there.
The mystery is solid and it kept me guessing.
I look forward to reading other books in this series.
Recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Our small town no longer has its own newspaper like it did when I first moved here. I wished it did and with a journalist just like Molly. Deadly Ride by Jody Holford is book three with Molly having settled into her life in Britton Bay, Oregon. The murder is personal involving her new love, Sam along with his love of vintage automobiles.
Move over Jessica Fletcher, there’s a younger woman taking the world by storm one small-town by-line at a time. I enjoyed discovering the clues along with her, seeing the twists in the story as well as finally solving the murder case. Deadly Ride is entertaining from beginning to end.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In the third instalment of the Britton Bay Mysteries, Molly Owens is setting up for a fun weekend with boyfriend, Sam Alderich, as Britton Bay hosts the Classic Car Crawl. However, its not just the cars that are revving up, when tempers start to flare among the participants. When one of the co-founders is found dead, Molly must put on her "reporter hat" and solve the mystery, before the killer strikes again.
I'm fast falling in love with this series! It is set in the beautiful, picturesque Britton Bay. As read, I can't help but imagine myself walking past all the wonderful described shops and locations in Britton Bay. From the gorgeous B&B, where Molly lives, to stopping at the diner for delicious food, it's a treat for the senses, and that's before we even delve into the mystery!
I like that this mystery involved visitors from out of town. More often then not, some cozy mystery series involve a local being killed book after book, and that can get a little too predictable for me. And, this series that is anything but predictable!! With the colourful crew from the car show world, there were a lot of new and interesting people for Molly (and me) to choose from as a potential suspect.
Beyond the drama of the car show world, I loved the little "side plots" that centre around the inhabitants of Britton Bay. While I love a good, toe-curling mystery, these side plots can make or break a book for me, and in the case of Deadly Ride they definitely made it! I feel with each story we're getting to know not just Molly and Sam, but everyone in Britton Bay a little more each time. It definitely makes me want to come back for more adventures!!
Deadly Ride is another beautifully paced and intriguing instalment in the Britton Bay Mysteries. This is a series that is getting better and better, and should be on every cozy mystery readers list. With the perfect balance of mystery and romance, it is a series you're going to want to read to and devour as quickly as you can!

Deadly Ride by Jody Holford was such a fun read! Great characters and a really good mystery. Not easy to figure out and really fit when I did get it. You'll fall in love with the little town and all the characters; especially the despicable ones.

Deadly Ride is the third installment in the Britton Bay series set in Britton Bay, Oregon featuring Molly Owens, newspaper editor for the Britton Bay Bulletin. Sam Alderich, an avid car enthusiast and Molly's boyfriend, has arranged for the Classic Car Crawl to come to town. A traveling showcase of vintage automobiles organized by founders Jethro Harkaw and Brian Stoleman is going to bring one last burst of tourists to town before winter sets in, and Molly is going to cover the festival for the paper.
Her first meeting with Jethro has Molly's skin crawling. The man's roving eyes, touchy hands and inappropriate comments are a huge turn off not only for Molly but for Sam too. Unfortunately as the festival continues, his behavior only get worse as Molly witnesses him sizing up other women, making out with his current wife Amber, ex wife Candy and arguing with several car owners. It's really no surprise when Molly and Sam discover his bludgeoned body sitting in his car.
Molly's former investigative reporter instincts kick in and she finds herself drawn into the thick of the case despite warnings from Officer Chris Beatty to stay out of his investigation. With plenty of suspects to choose from, Molly is in for a busy few days.
A good plot and a returning cast of characters make for a fun read. Unfortunately, the constant and repetitive mention of Molly and Sam holding hands, hugging, kissing, running fingers through each other's hair and gazing longingly at each other had me groaning in frustration and skipping paragraphs at a time. While I do understand that their relationship is relatively new - this was a bit much. Now that the two have finally said I love you, I hope that the author will focus more on the actual mystery in any upcoming additions.
I received an advanced copy of Deadly Ride from NetGalley via Lyrical Press. While not required to write a review I am happy to offer my honest opinion.

Deadly Ride is an entertaining cozy mystery. Great plot, writing and a beautiful setting. Mystery fans will love this book. My thanks to the publisher for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.

Deadly Ride by Jody Holford is the 3rd book in A Britton Bay Mystery, and another great addition. Molly Owens is the editor in chief at the local newspaper, located on the seaside coast of Oregon. Molly is renting a small carriage home on the property of the bed and breakfast her boyfriend, Sam Alderich, mother owns. Sam's auto body shop is sponsoring a vintage car show, which Molly is covering for the paper. When one of the co-founders is found dead, Molly is determined to solve the murder, and save the show. There are suspects around every corner. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. If you love cozy mysteries, I recommend this book and the series.
I reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Kensington Publishing. Thank you.

Sam is sponsoring a car show. Jet and Brian are the owners of the brand that is the car crawl. Molly is enjoying autumn in Britton Bay.
The day before the car shows end Jet is found dead in his classic car. There are several good suspects.
There is a second small mystery in Britton Bay that is resolved a little past mid way.
Molly and Sam’s relationship continues to be a big part of the story. Things are good in the newspaper business. Molly again gets into trouble as the story winds down to who done it.
I really like the characters and the town in this series. This is the third Britton Bay mystery. I suppose it could be read as a stand-alone, but for best enjoyment read the series in order.

Molly works for local paper and has to step in for a sick co worker. Off to the vintage car show. Molly's boyfriend Sam is a car enthusiast and go sponsor of the event. When a dead body shows up Molly is determined to find out who did it. Great characters are brought to life in the page

Deadly Ride is a great cozy mystery with interesting characters. The book is well written and would make a great gift.

Deadly Ride is a fabulous read. I always love coming back to Britton Bay and seeing what trouble Molly finds herself in next. Molly is back with her swoon-worthy boyfriend Sam and all their friends for this one. If you love the who did it mysteries then you are just going to love solving this one along side of Molly and the rest of Britton Bay. It seems that trouble found Molly again and you are just in for a ride with this one. Sam as always is so loving and supportive of Molly. I love them so much together and you will love them even more after reading Deadly Ride. With every Britton Bay book we get a more progression of Molly and Sam's relationship and it is so heartwarming to watch them grow closer. I'm so in love with this series and Deadly Ride just adds to it. If you love a good mystery to solve one click this one right here.

You'd think a car crawl in Britton Bay, Oregon would be a happy, non-controversial event but no......Jet, one of the sponsors, is murdered. Of course, he's not a nice man and there are any number of suspects but Molly, the editor in chief of the town newspaper, and Sam, her boyfriend and another sponsor, are not among them. Molly, who has successfully investigated other murders, jumps right in, despite being told not to (ha!). There are some good twists in this classic cozy and you might not guess the villain. Molly's relationship with Sam is terrific and very realistic. I'm sure you'd be fine with this as a standalone. Thanks for the ARC- it's a good read.

Molly And Sam are making a go of life together in Britton Bay, Oregon. When Sam brings the Classic Car Crawl to town, Molly gets to see a side of childhood that he shared with his father.
While the show is a success, one of the founders is found murdered in one of the classic cars and there are any number of suspects who had means and motive. Jet Harkaw was a philanderer and both is wife and ex-wife are in town, along with others the man had harmed. Will Molly and Sam be able to take their relationship to the next level, or will the murderer put an end to their love as well?
A well planned out whodunit that pulled me in. Looking forward to spending more time in Britton Bay with Molly, Sam and the gang.

This was a well written cozy mystery. As with all Cozy Mysteries, it takes place in a small town where everyone knows almost everyone else. When Molly steps in for her sick reporter to cover the classic car crawl, she steps into a few surprising events. The big surprise is (no surprise) Murder! The clues and red herrings are interesting and will keep you turning the page.
The love story that is intertwined with the murder adds nicely.
My only "complaint" is that one tiny (non-essential) mystery was left unanswered.

This is the 3rd book in the Britton Bay cozy mystery series and is as good as the other 2! Molly is the editor at the Britton Bay newspaper. Her boyfriend Sam owns the local garage and is hosting the Classic Car Crawl that is coming to town. All goes well the first day but one of the lead men with the Car Crawl is found dead by Sam and Molly. There aren't too many suspects, which is nice. There are still a lot of people to keep track of but it is well written. Very enjoyable cozy mystery!

What a ride! Part cozy mystery, part romance novel, Jody Holford’s Deadly Ride, is an enjoyable excursion to the seaside town of Britton Bay and the charming characters living there. In this third installment of the series, newspaper editor Molly Owen’s finds murder and mystery while covering a classic car show hosted by her boyfriend, Sam.
When Jethro Harkaw, one of the founding members of the show, is found dead in his car, the focus quickly turns from the show itself to murder. As it turns out, Jethro was an unpleasant man whom many had a reason to dislike. Suspects – including his business partner, his wife, his ex-wife and several car enthusiasts – abound, each of which had ample motive for murder. Molly must use her reporter’s instincts to investigate the crime and keep herself out of danger.
Intertwined with the mystery is the evolving relationship between Molly and Sam. Although this book definitely has more romance that I’ve seen in most cozy mysteries, it is easy to root for Molly and Sam. That said, while I appreciate the romantic aspects of the book, Deadly Ride is at its best when focusing on the mystery. The seemingly unending list of suspects, gradual revelations, and twists and turns kept me guessing until the end. And, while the ultimate reveal seemed a little too coincidental, the result was nonetheless satisfying.
All-in-all, Deadly Ride is a fun and entertaining cozy mystery. And, if you like to mix mystery with romance, it is the perfect book to curl up with on a lazy afternoon.
Note: I received an ARC of Deadly Ride from NetGalley and Kensington Books/Lyrical Underground. The above is my honest review.

This series had so much potential but it’s drowning in ultra-soppy romance. Character development and non-romantic relationships are afterthoughts in this novel. Sam’s possessiveness and Molly’s long descriptions of her deep love for Sam ruin what could have been a good cozy.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid for this review.

Molly's boyfriend Sam is sponsoring a car show when one of the partner's is found murdered. Molly is a journalist who likes to do a bit of sleuthing on the side. The characters are engaging and the plot moves along well. The book makes Oregon sound idyllic. A good , romantic cosy mystery.

Enjoyable cozy, though I wouldn't mind a little less making out and heart-flutters between Molly and her beau Sam.
Sam has arranged for the Classic Car Crawl - a travelling car show - to come to Britton Bay. Molly joins him to interview the two organisers. Two friends who could not be more different. One turns out to be quite a jerk and it is not much of a surprise when he is found dead a few days later. There's plenty of people that may have wanted him dead: his young wife, his ex-wife, his old friend and business partner, a couple of regulars in the car show, an old friend of the young wife.
Though Molly is warned off about getting involved (for her safety) and she herself is determined not got involved, not too involved, Molly can't help herself and starts to poke around. The motives and changing alibis were pretty good, making all the possible suspects look equally suspect.
I was a bit disappointed by the reveal of the actual murderer. It was not Molly's snooping that made it necessary for the murderer to come out of hiding. So no reason either to silence Molly. I guess that one was necessary for the author to put the sleuth in the hot-spot with the murderer. (And if felt forced.)
And can Americans - at least the fictional ones - just get over themselves when it comes to saying "I love you"? It's not so big a deal that you have to weigh your words carefully before you say "I love you" to the person you have spent pretty much every free moment with for the past six months. In that situation the "I love you" has been implied for several months already.
