This is such a cute, simplistic, and informative children’s book. It helps simplify questions that children may have. It’s very informative and helps show that even though many families are different, they are still very much the same. Plus, the art work in this book is adorable.

This is a cute little story that flows as a conversation between two children. The little boy is very curious that his friend has two daddies and keeps asking her questions about which daddy does what. And the girl’s answers are adorably honest as she shows that sometimes, one of her daddies is better at a task, sometimes, neither of them or both of them can do a chore, and for some tasks, she herself is big enough to handle them.

The book is very easy to follow for early readers as the language is very manageable. The moral of the book also comes out clearly: every family is a family no matter who comprises it, and every member of the family has a role to play. The illustrations of the book are the cutest!

I found this book heart-warming in many ways and would certainly recommend it.

Cute book for young children to help explain why not all families look the same but all families should be love. I like rhyming and the many, large pictures for children as well.

Name of book : A Tale of Two Daddies
Author : Vanita Oelschlager
Illustrators : Kristin Blackwood & Mike Blanc
Number of pages : 42

"My Friend Lincoln says you have two dads. "
"That's right. Poppa and Daddy. "

I loved this contemporary picture book with its sweet, simple and realistic story. Through its adorable illustrations, Oelschlager educates young readers about modern family dynamics by creating a warm atmosphere of love, kindness and diversity.

The book starts with a simple conversation between a girl and a boy in the playground. The boy asks all the questions about the girl's family. The girl tells him about her two daddies (Poppa and Daddy) and how they are always there for her in different ways.

I loved the message of the book ~ a parent is neither defined by gender roles nor gender identity.

It was cute and sweat, but it was a little meh for me. Am a 21 old woman LOL. This tale is super cute for kids who has four or five years old, is very short and very easy to read it.

This book made me emotionally. I love that it was told from the perspective of the kids on the playground. There's something so beautiful about stories that show kids finding the similarity in their difference, and for this books it's in the fact that our little girl protagonist has two dads. Its' so important for kids to see that this day in age families may look different, but they're all full of love and at the end of the day they're not too different. I loved this book and would recommend it to everyone.

As a teacher and mother, I loved this story. I love how the main character shows her confidence in having two fathers and how they are the same as any two parent household.

"A Tale of Two Daddies" by Vanita Oelschlager is a really cute book. It totally normalizes a "non-traditional family" and shows that a family made up of two dads can do all the same things as a family made up of a mom and dad. It also helps point out that there are no gender norms - dads as well as moms can cook and braid hair and so on. The artwork is great and the writing is very simple and straightforward. The rhythm of the questions and answers, and the simple rhyming couplets make it a great book to read aloud. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

A lovely story to help kids understand that different people have different families and that each family member can help with certain things. Great for a kickoff of students writing about who lives in their house and what they do that's special.

This was really cute and fun to read and I think it relays the theme of the book perfectly, just easy enough for children and ignorant adults to understand.

I was not able to read this book no matter how I tried to access it. I was really excited by the premise of it. I will look for it in a bookstore or library though.

This one was so cute and adorable. I love how this one showed that two dads can fulfill and do the same things that a mom and dad can do. I loved this one, and quite enjoyed it. The art was so well-done, and the writing was just so touching. This was absolutely short, and sweet. I love that it is okay to have two dads, and that it is something completely normal. This totally deserves more than 5 stars.
