This one was really sweet! I loved how Liam and Arden met, loved that Liam saw Arden as a woman, not a sick person. Their flirting and just being together was fun to see. I could have done less with the drama surrounding Liam and his parents. I'm not sure why, but that didn't work for me even as I understood why Liam was upset.

All the Montgomery men are HOT. Liam is no exception. Arden, who looks healthy, actually is not. They meet under unusual circumstances. Arden is in the ER due to her autoimmune disease. Liam, because while at a wedding for a family member, scaffolding fell on him. While in the ER, Liam gets Arden’s phone number (she is surprised at this) and he has every intention of calling her. Unfortunately for both of them, Liam find out something about himself that he had no idea about and it throws him for a loop. Eventually he does call and they start seeing each other. But Arden has very overprotective brothers and Liam is dealing with family issues as well. How will it turn out? Will they work the problems out that they each have? The only way to find out is to read Wrapped in Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan. You won’t regret this read. Also as a side note, this is part of a series and while it would be beneficial to have a working relationship with the other characters in the series, it is not necessary. Looking forward to the next Montgomery installment.

The cover is what pulled me in and the storyline is what kept me reading more. This was a fun and somewhat edgy read. Perfect for the beach or as a fun escapism. I really enjoyed this.

This was my first read by Carrie Ann Ryan and though it was technically the first book in a new series, there was a ton of references to characters that I felt like I should already know about. This book is heavily based on a family that Carrie Ann Ryan has already written books on. It was very slow going for me because side characters kept cropping up and I didn't know why I should care about them when all I wanted to do was get to know the main characters more. Sadly, with the constant distraction that was the Montgomery clan, I think that the budding relationship between Liam and Arden was pretty overshadowed to the point that I never really felt a true connection between them.

Liam Montgomery who is an author has an accident at his friends' wedding that lands him in the hospital. While there he meets researcher Arden Brady who has quite the experience with spending time in the hospital.

But because she looks healthy some don't understand her illness, but her family always has her back. Meeting Liam and sharing their experience forms a connection between them.

Liam will learn some life changing news that will turn his world upside down. His siblings will be there for him whether he wants them or not. He meets Arden again and they find out some interesting things about each other.

A great new series!

Liam Montgomery is at one of his friend’s wedding when he is struck in a freak accident by one of the scaffolding. In the emergency room he shares a room with an attractive woman. He gets her phone number with every intention of calling her but he receives news that shakes his entire life.

Arden Brady isn’t shock that Liam didn’t call her. She spends most of her time alone at home working on her research company or with her four big brooding brothers. She has her “online” friends who support her but life hasn’t been so kind to her. She suffers from an autoimmune disease and having relationships is a struggle for her.

I have never read any of the Montgomery books despite owning a few of them. I’m now kicking myself. This was such a heartwarming read. Liam bumps into Arden in his neighborhood and apologizes for not calling her. They strike up a friendship that turns into more.

Normally, I shy away from books that have some heavy subject matters especially those surrounding illnesses. It is a trigger of sorts for me but this one never once distracted from the romance. I didn’t get depressed over reading this. In fact, it felt so real that I loved how the author handled the subject matter. Knowing someone who personally suffers from the same illness as Arden, I can appreciate how it was written.

Liam’s anger over the secret that his family withheld from him was so real. He didn’t shy away from the fact that he loved his family but sometimes lies and secrets can irrevocably shape how a relationship is. He is able to eventually forgive but it will be a long time before he is okay. I like how the issue was not brushed under the rug and all is forgiven.

Arden and Liam’s relationship feels real because they are both struggling with outside issues as they forge a genuine friendship. The sex between them is hot. For two people who spend most of the times in the house, they lit it up.

The two families share some of the spotlight without taking up too much space. I definitely want more of the Montgomery family but I’m curious about Arden’s brothers. They seem to have huge personalities and I look forward to them having their own series (fingers crossed). In the meantime, I have a nice back log to hold me over.

This book is another good read by the wonderful Carrie Ann Ryan. Liam’s story is a bit of a second chance love story, after he meets Arden in the hospital (she is in for Lupus) after he is in an accident. As much as I love this author’s books, storylines, and characters…this wasn’t my favorite…but I still really enjoyed it. I love the Montgomery family series and stories, and would recommend this one. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

Arden is in the hospital again. Lupus is her one true mate. It is with her every breath of the way. Liam is at a Montgomery family wedding. The pretty boy, model is one part of a huge family of Montgomery’s. He is standing off to the side watching from afar, talking with his baby sister when a scaffold falls on him and knocks him out. He ends up in the hospital with an adorable roommate with a rash. Lupus has nothing on Liam Montgomery in Arden’s tragic life. This story is full of secrets, big family, over protective brothers, and the enjoyment of light in the darkness.

I didn't love this book. I did like how Arden's sickness is handled. It felt very authentic and well-written. However, there seemed to be very little chemistry between Arden and Liam. I found a lot of the dialogue between Arden and Liam to be stilted and cringy. I think I may have liked this book more if I had read her previous books since there seems to be a story for every family member, and the cast of characters seems very inclusive which I appreciate.

Liam Montgomery's world is spinning. He just found out a Big Secret after a family wedding and it's making him distance himself from his family which is normally close. But he's finding some comfort in his relationship with Arden, a woman who was in the same hospital room that he was in after an accident.
Arden has lupus and she is dealing with having an "invisible" disease. She often has to call off planned engagements because of her flare-ups and it has caused a lot of distress among her friends, most of whom have deserted her because of her "flakiness."
I wish this book had been a little longer. Liam's secret wasn't well developed; it was more show than tell. And while Liam and Arden dealt with one of her flare-ups, I wish we had seen more. I just couldn't get the sense that he was going to be committed enough to stick.

Arden and Liam meet in the least likely place to find your next date. The hospital. Liam is being seen after some scaffolding falls on him and Arden is a repeat visitor due to her struggle with Lupus.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. The author did a great job of making the horror of an invisible disease like Lupus more reader friendly. She gave just enough detail about the disease without making it sound like a health brochure. Liam and Arden are fun together and the lighthearted moments help relieve some of the emotions that the hard parts conjure up. However, I did not think that Liam’s struggle with his identity and family was necessary to the plot. I feel like the author put it in as a place filler and did not really do anything with it. Other than that one issue, I really enjoyed reading Wrapped in Ink.

Wrapped In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan is the first book in a new series about the Montgomery Family. This time we are focused on the Bolder portion of the family. There are three brothers and one sister all who are unmarried to their mother’s dismay. The oldest brother, Liam Montgomery was in a sudden accident that caused a small disturbance during the wedding, but a huge problem for him to come to terms with. While he was being checked over at the hospital, he met (in the next bed) Arden Brady. Her spoke with her for a while, took her phone number and then things went haywire...so he didn’t call.

Arden Brady is in the hospital for another attack of her Lupus. It has a rough cycle and her lupus has been causing so many symptoms recently. She hopes for the pain to recede while she passed some time talking to Liam. He leaves with her number...but doesn’t call. Arden was chasing her dog, a couple of weeks later only to literally run into Liam.

I liked the story of how they began, even though I did have to suspend reality about them being in a hospital room together. I like how he wanted to know her and understand her. I loved their connection with books. I have to admit it, Jasper was my favorite character first turning blue and then later green.

Wrapped in Ink: Montgomery Ink: Bolder #1 by Carrie Ann Ryan was a good read.

I absolutely loved this book. The story between Liam and Arden was so beautiful. Lots of subplots going on between both Liam and Arden families.

I was given this book in exchange for a review.

This is the first book in a new series and it is worth reading. Just like all of her other books Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again.

This story is about Liam Montgomery. He is a Montgomery who like the other has to find his way through some rough times and with these rough times he has to learn to forgive the people he loves. The big question is can he? Or is he going to let this destroy him and his Montgomery family?

When an accident happens and lands Liam in the hospital He meets a woman named Arden. Arden has problems of her own to deal with and like Liam because of her past she has to learn to trust again. But will she let her fears get the best of her and completely push Liam away? Or will they help each other heal find the love they both deserve? As they are drawn closer together can they learn to trust and love each other or will they let their fears and mistrust destroy what they are building?

As I said I love this book and what she has done with the characters. There is laughter, sadness and pain and anger. Their is a twist you would never think would have happened to the Montgomery's.

Can't wait for the next story in this series. Excellent Job!!!

Loved Liam and Arden together, was a emotional ride. Can't wait for Ethan's story and to read more of the Montgomery family.

Another emotional rollercoaster ride. The first time I've come across a story where an invisible illness like lupus is such a big part. Loved the family dynamics and the way the siblings all stick together. Looking forward to Ethan's story.
