This book has a ton of great info for space lovers. It is easy to read for children but gives great facts. There are a ton of fun experiments to go along with the information and I'm excited to try some of them during our space theme (kindergarten).

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Definitely appreciated the digestiable language the author used to describe various aspects of space and space exploration! Enjoyed the humor included at times. My favourite sections had to be the "you try it" parts before the end of each chapter.

AN EARTHLING'S GUIDE TO OUTER SPACE was fantastic!

Absolutely fascinating content written in an incredibly captivating and intriguing way - this is a definite must-read for anyone who's ever had any sort of curiosity about the galaxies, the cosmos and what lays beyond the atmosphere! I loved it!

Bob McDonald is best known as the host of the CBC radio show Quirks and Quarks, but he has also written several books and is a science journalist. This book takes us on a tour of the universe, covering such things as black holes, planets (and why Pluto was downgraded), space travel and even space junk. Every chapter ends with an activity that can be done at home to further drive home the lessons. It is told in a simple and humorous manner and thus suitable for anyone from the 9-12 year old group and up.

Great beginner's guide to outer space

I enjoyed this book. Bob McDonald writes with a conversational tone`and greatly simplifies the science, so this is an excellent introduction to space exploration. McDonald covers a large amount of material but I never felt overloaded. While McDonald doesn’t cover anything that hasn’t been covered in many other books, his way of communicating made the book fun, although I did find the writing style a little simple. On the other hand, this may make the book suitable for younger readers. I recommend this book for anyone interested in space.
