I am a huge Lauren Layne fan. I have read all her books. This series though.
I could barely finish this one. And I decided not to continue with this series.

To say that I had been dying waiting for this book from the second I began reading this series would be an understatement. Lauren Layne painted such a good picture of friendship between our heroine Audrey and the other two women who have books preceding this one. It was the friendship of Audrey and Clarke that was the star of this show though. We could see that there was always love between the two of them and it was no hardship at all to read to see it unfold in a romantic love story, If I have any criticism it would just be that I wanted more, I wanted more of Audrey and Clarke going on dates, holding hands, and making coffee together. This was such a happy conclusion to this series and a must read for anyone who enjoys reading about female friendship and sweet love stories!

The final installment in this series was the one I was most looking forward to - I couldn’t wait to get my greedy hands on Clark and Audrey’s story.

These two have been friends for YEARS and everyone expects them to eventually fall in love. But neither of them thinks it’s going to happen because the other isn’t interested.

What unfolds when this friends to lovers plot is magic. Witty, charming and sexy, this couple enchants you. I devoured their story and was so sad when it ended.

Lauren Layne weaves a fun and sexy love story. Don’t miss it.

I really enjoy Lauren Layne and was excited to gain an ARC from Netgalley. This story is not as exciting as her previous trilogies. The characters in this story are more self centered, unable to relate to and uninteresting. It was very hard for me to finish this one or even want to read this trilogy.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this early copy!

Did not finish - I could not connect with the plot or writing so I decided to put it down.

I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.

I’ve read other books by this author in the past and really enjoyed them. I hadn't read any of the books in this series so far but luckily there was some crossover and I got to see Alexis again from To Love and to Cherish. I am tempted to read the other two in this Central Park series also as the characters are so fun and entertaining to read about. I love the three main ladies: Claire, Naomi, and Audrey and the way their friendship came about is so different and unusual. Audrey and Clarke were very endearing characters, they were both so sweet and had such a great friendship from the start that it is difficult for the reader to not be rooting for them. I really enjoyed reading their story, it made me feel many things but the main one was happiness. There were some pieces of it that were a little predictable but nothing too annoying. And it was just such a touching story with entertaining characters and a romantic plot line, it was hard to find anything not to like! Clarke was necessarily my favorite hero but he was sweet and he proved in the end that he really cared for Audrey. This was an entertaining and quick read - I'd definitely recommend it!

I didn't know anything about this series when I started the novel and it definitely started with a twist I wasn't expecting. I really liked it though and all the problems and set-ups were working for me, until about the last 150 pages. It got super sluggish in the end and felt like the characters were just going around in circles, dealing with the same problem over and over again. I still liked the book and plan on reading Claire's story next.

This book was like drinking a glass of champagne, bubbly, fun and intoxicating. Friends to lovers is a difficult challenge for most authors, especially when the main characters both have each other as firmly in the “friend-zone” as Audrey and Clarke. Throughout the first two books, readers witnessed their easy banter and genuine friendship. I really didn’t see any sparks, and neither did the characters. I think that’s what made their transition from buddies to *ahem* more, so much fun.

My favorite part of this book was the slow build between Audrey and Clarke. They’re life-long friends and neither of them suddenly woke up one day in love. They were forced into a fake dating relationship and slowly realized how much they mean to one another, outside of their rock solid friendship. It was masterful plot pacing! Although, I selfishly wanted it to be less of a slow burn, it totally worked for the story.

I think one of the things Lauren Layne does really well is write about jealousy in a relationship. That might sound weird, but it’s a difficult skill for most authors. It’s never an angry or scary jealousy, it usually just helps the characters realize their feelings for each other, and makes me delighted as a reader. This one had an A+ jealousy scene involving a sexy, silver fox billionaire *chef’s kiss*.

I do wish Audrey and Clarke had a little more time as a couple in actual love. An epilogue or “tie it all up in a bow” ending with all the couples wouldn’t have gone amiss. I also thought Audrey and Clarke never quite got to the emotional intimacy I expected of them it was always a little too surface, even the “deep” parts.

Overall, Lauren Layne has written another delightful series. She does the best job writing light and fun contemporary romances that never fail to put a smile on my face. Again, selfishly, I wish she would back away from the “fade to black” scenes, but I’ll take what I can get!

**I received an ARC of this book in order to provide an honest review**

I was really excited for Audrey and Clarke's story after the build up in the previous two books in this series, but it ultimately fell flat. I felt that there wasn't enough growth from the characters, especially because they were never able to address their emotions directly with each other. Also, I know this entire series is fade to black, but I really think the steamy scenes would've added to Audrey and Clarke's relationship.

Thanks to Gallery Books and Netgalley for my copy to review.

Loved this fun story! A combination of two of my favorite tropes friends to lovers and fake relationships. Clark and Audrey were both awesome characters and I was so rooting for them to finally figure out they were perfect for each other. This is the third book in the series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone.

Perfect conclusion to the series with the couple I’ve been waiting for! I was totally in for the best-friends-to-more trope inevitably coming when Audrey and Clarke were introduced. This could be my favorite book (or at least favorite couple) in the series.

I totally adored the premise of these three women coming together after the same man broke all of their hearts and abruptly died, leaving them to figure out how to move on from the array of relationships they had with him. Claire was his wife, Naomi was the casual fling, and Audrey was the girlfriend. They were obviously each hurt or affected by him, his actions/cheating, and his death, but the three came together and formed such a beautiful and natural best-friendship that I have LOVED reading about. I wish there were the possibility of more books in this series because I think I could read about these three couples forever.

The final story here featured Audrey, the youngest and the classic “Instagram influencer” type, who was a favorite of mine from the start. She and Clarke, her longtime best friend, decide to have a fake engagement to get some people off their backs and surprise, surprise – real feelings are there. I loved watching them both slooowly realize how they felt. There was minimal drama – something I’ve enjoyed overall about this series, if I remember the previous two books correctly – and minimal steam (unfortunately).

I think the lack of sexytimes was the biggest detractor for me personally because I feel like the two books before had a little more? Otherwise there were some *highly* predictable parts. Truth be told that was welcome given the current circumstances of the world, and I had faith that Audrey and Clarke would work things out no matter what happened. This book was perfectly quick, light, easy, and enjoyable. I can’t recommend this series enough!

What starts out as fake engagement to avoid bad press, turns into a scheme to rebel against parents, hide from exes and more, but quickly turns into a couple realizing that their friendship knows no limits and is maybe more than just a friendship. This was such a fun and sweet read.

I’m addicted to friends to lovers romances and I’ve been dying for Clarke and Audrey’s story since the first book in The Central Park Pact Series. Of the three woman involved in a pact to steer clear of men that have heartbreak written all over them, Audrey is the one who wants to believe in a fairytale romance, but she doesn’t believe she deserves it. Marriage on Madison Avenue is the story of her journey to rediscovering herself and realizing that she’s worthy of a happy ending.
As is typically the case with best friend romances, the spark between the two protagonists is obvious to everyone but them, and Audrey and Clarke definitely have chemistry. Insert a fake engagement scenario, which brings out all kinds of drama and stirs up an unexpected attraction, and suddenly their feelings aren’t so fake... If you’re looking for a riveting, devour-in-one-sitting type of read with a sweet romance and just enough angst to tug on your heartstrings, Marriage on Madison Avenue needs to be on your TBR list! I’m sad to say goodbye to this series and these characters but this book was the perfect sendoff.

This was SUCH a fun read! I honestly didn't expect that have such a good time jumping into the third and final book of a series, but the great thing is that these books truly do read as stand-alone novels with character crossovers. Marriage on Madison Avenue was such a respite from a crazy hectic week that I'm ecstatic thinking about going back to the beginning and reading books 1 & 2. Lucky for me, I won the first book in an Instagram giveaway, so I can start right away! Highly recommended for fans of Christina Lauren.

Thank you NetGalley, Gallery Books, and Lauren Layne for the ARC to review. Sorry, I am behind on my reviews.
I have not read the previous two books in this set, however, it wasn't necessary. This was a great chick-lit book. The story line was good, and it was a fast read. Thoroughly and would read another Lauren Layne book, hands down.

Thanks NetGalley for the preview!

I was initially worried I would not like this book as it is the last in a series. I could not have been more wrong! I loved Clarke and Audrey! Their love story was unpredictable, funny and sweet. I found myself yelling at the book for Clarke to kiss her already and hanging on the scenes with their witty spats. As someone who recently got married I could identify with Audrey and the stress of planning. Overall, I was really happy with the book!

Marriage on Madison (probably my favorite story from the Central Park Pact series), begins in a similar fashion as the other two in this series, but from social media influencer and Manhattan Royalty-Audrey's viewpoint this time! I absolutely love the story of the women in this series! I also love the fun & flirty relationship between Audrey and Clarke (swoon). Lauren Layne does it again. I couldn't put this book down! Love the setting (NYC FTW!), and loved the Sex & the City vibe I got from this series! If you want to escape to Madison Avenue for a few hours and hang out with some fun brunch friends...this book feels just like that! I was a kind of sad as I read the last couple pages because it felt like I was saying good bye to some of my favorite Lauren Layne characters!

This was the perfect ending to the series. I loved reading Audrey and Clark’s story. Friends to lovers is always a fun trope, and while this could’ve been totally predictable, it definitely kept you on your toes. I really appreciate that this was overall clean. There was definitely sexual innuendo and some closed door-type scenes, but overall this was very PG-13. I recommend this whole series when you’re looking for fun, light reads.

I liked the premise for this newest Lauren Layne. The main characters in this book were intriguing in the previous books in the series. However, there was something missing in their chemistry. The structure of the story was enjoyable but this was not my favorite of the series. It felt like something was missing.
