Loved every second of this book!! I am always appreciative of authors who let us into their lives. Who honestly want to say “Hey here is how I did it and here is why it did/didn’t work!”. This book was all that and more. A must read for everyone.

I received a copy of Hold On, But Don’t Hold Still by Kristina Kuzmic from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
4.5/5 stars Hold On, But Don’t Hold Still is like sitting down on the sofa with a comfy blanket, cup of coffee, and your best mom girlfriend. A blend of humor, insight, and parental advice without the know-it-all tone that some parenting books proclaim.
Kuzmic doesn’t tell only the happy go lucky aspects of parenting, she tells the ugly, hurtful sides too. There were so many quotes that I took from this book to include in my journal. “Every day is a second chance to suck at life a little less” was probably one of my favorites. A fantastic read for all who get to experience the roller coaster of parenthood.

Kristina Kuzmic is a treasure of a woman. She has quite a following on facebook and her videos go viral every time. This is true because of what this book proves- she is the kind of woman we all want to be and the kind of woman we all want to be friends with.

Her book is a vulnerable (and funny) look at the hard (and amazing) things that have happened in her life. This book is easy to read because Kristina is a gem and you just want to be able to devour each word, but the lessons are hard earned, wise and will help us all to find our way into our own overcoming.

Buy this book, read it and share it with a friend. If you have been touched by any sort of hardships, you will find something in this book to relate to.

I have only two complaints about this book #1: I didn't want it to end and #2 Kristina isn't my real life BFF. Other than that, it is our gold and offers everything you would want it to and so much you didn't expect.

The publisher provided an ARC through Netgalley. I have voluntarily read this book and these thoughts and opinions are my own honest review.

I first saw Kristina Kuzmic on Facebook, where most folks recognize this "internet mom with an attitude." I found her brutally honest, witty, and just plain smart. For the first time, I could relate to another mom. Her life was not full of perfect photo shoots, well mannered children, and cotton candy clouds. In fact, for a while I wondered if we weren't parenting the same kids...only she was doing it way better. When I saw an ARC of Hold On, But Don't Hold Still offered through NetGalley, I snapped it up. And then, life happened. I know Kristina will forgive me. However, I did FINALLY finish the book (several months later), through no fault of Kristina's. This is a wonderful book for any struggling mom, struggling woman, struggling human being. Kristina is honest, as always, and speaks to everything from her painful divorce to fighting depression and thoughts of suicide to surviving eye-rolling teenagers. She speaks with truth and wisdom and such heart that you can feel every bit of it. I love this woman and all she contributes to motherhood, wifedom, and womanhood. I love her honesty. I love her humility, and I learn from her grace. She ain't perfect, but she claims it all. And her shamers? She's not afraid of them either and she never lets them steal her joy. I highly recommend this new venture to anyone who is a fan and to those who haven't encountered her yet. Well written and well said.

Kristina Kuzmic is wise, funny and thoughtful and I am super jealous of her real life friends. I was familiar with her prior to reading this title and though I had heard some of the stories she shared in the book, I was still impressed with her storytelling ability. Her personal story of leaving Croatia as a young teen and her painful divorce and experience with single motherhood is compelling and stands on it's own. But, but, but where Kuzmic shines is her thoughts on parenting with awareness, forgiveness and kindness to one's self in order to better parent children. In order to raise our children up, we need to stop putting ourselves down. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed this book. I follow Kristina on Facebook, some what is in the book. She writes about her struggles, her family, divorce, 2nd marriage and children. How her and her ex husband co parent.
My husband’s family is from Croatia. I loved her early stories about her home country,
This review is my own honest opinion.
Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House for an early ARC.

I have been a big fan of Kristina Kuzmic's parenting videos, especially as I navigated the tough times of being a new mom. While I can't relate to all of her life story, her humor and compassion keep me wanting to see what she has to say about a variety of topics.

This book gave me the same warm feeling I get after one of her videos. It is definitely one that should be given to any new parent, recently divorced parent, or anyone who just needs to be reminded that we all are struggling and focusing on the positive is the best way to make it through. There was the perfect mix of humor, humility, and honesty. This is definitely a book with chapters I will revisit on those tough days of parenting when I just need to feel like someone is cheering me on!

I found this book to be funny and inspiring, and it definitely brightened my days while I was reading it. At times it seemed to be a little slow, but almost immediately following those times it was once again worth reading. Definitely a must read for mothers on those days we feel as though we are alone in this crazy world.

I really wanted to like this book, and to me it fell a little bit flat. The writing was good I just couldn't connect to the characters as much as I wanted to!

Every mom needs to read this book. Motherhood is hard and with social media so prevalent it is easy to feel alone, lost and like you can't measure up. Kristina is here to share her story and to help every mom feel like they are enough!

This book was received as an ARC from PENGUIN GROUP Viking in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I could not stop laughing when I finished this book. Having friends that are parents and all the struggles they go through with young children, I know they will appreciate this book. It's unbelievable the stories Kristina describes in fine detail and how hysterically charming they all are and so relatable too. Our community members and patrons will go crazy for this and it will do very well at our library.

We will consider adding this title to our Biography and Humor collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
