This is a very interesting fast paced thriller that I flew through as soon as I received it. I love psychological thrillers. They are one of my favorite kinds of thriller novels but I didn't see the ending coming in this one. It was so well crafted that I literally was shocked by it.

The differing perspectives of the characters made the story more enjoyable for me and it held my interest the whole way through.

I would recommend this book for sure if you enjoy a twisty psychological thriller.

60% through this book I was starting to get worried that this book wasn’t going to be as good as the first to books I’ve read by Amanda. But there was no reason to worry because that last 40% had me shook!

Willow is unreliable, so Rose isn’t all that surprised by her sisters sudden disappearance. But this time is different, Rose receives a call from Willow, she’s figured out who was responsible for her birth mothers death.
When Willow doesn’t respond to any of Rose’s calls, Rose sets off with her daughter Becky in search of her sister before it’s too late.

An enjoyable fast paced thriller with little shocks and turns along the way!

Thank you Natgalley, publishers and the author Amanda Brittany for an Arc in exchange for an honest opinion.

This book was incredible! It had guessing all over the place and the wow moments kept coming! Even the ending was impressive!
The story is told from the points of view of Ava in the past and Rose in the present. Rose is searching for her sister Willow, who often runs off on her own but Rose feels that something is different this time and when her sister sends her a txt and a package with a note and photographs and asks for her help in finding her mother’s killer. Rose and her daughter Becky head down there as soon as Rose, who is headmistress, is done with school for the summer. When they reach the cottage, Willow is still not there and all calls go straight to voicemail. Rose decides to do some investigative work herself in the hopes that she will solve the mystery and find Willow. She locates the men in the photographs that her sister sent and tries to gauge their innocence and how much they know. The characters in the book aren’t always who they appear to be and their roles in what happened over fifteen years ago seem to change and keep you guessing who was really at fault.
This book kept me interested throughout with nary a dull moment.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This is one of the best books I've read for mystery, drama, intrigue and dysfunctional families. Ava is a very young girl who thinks she is in love. Her mother is far from loving and nurturing to her. The love she does posses is all doted on Ava's older sister Gail. Ava's brother ran away from the mother and the father left soon after Ava was born. When Ava becomes pregnant at 16 the mother is horrified at the shame it will bring to the family. Ava however, a dreamer of happy ever after and white picket fences will not get an abortion. Her daughter Willow is born and she is the sunshine of Ava's life. Her sister Gail is getting married and even though she seems to hate Ava she is allowing her to be in the wedding. Rory, Gail's soon to be husband is a rich and domineering man. Willows dad is a loser who can't help support Ava and Willow and can't even be faithful. When Peter, the brother who ran away years before comes home to give Gail away he takes over the care of Willow while Ava works. As hard as Ava tries to give Willow a good life life isn't good to Ava. Her future is not the happy ever after she dreamed it should be. This book goes back and forth from past to present and from different persons perspective. Keeping track at first is hard but then you get into the characters and it becomes smoothe. So much happens to so many and you never know what will happen next to the very very end. Great read. Thank you NetGalley, Amanda Brittany and publisher HQ Digital for this ARC. This is my honest opinion. You will enjoy this book if you like a good mystery.

Traces of her was an engaging read for me. When Willow, Roses’ sister, goes missing again, after having done same several other times; it wasn’t quite so out-of-character, not until Rose receives a package, which contains evidence of an old murder case that remains unsolved.

Does Willows disappearance link to the unsolved murder case?

This is an easy to read novel. It flips between the past and present, which is done very well. A good suspenseful, with a few twists and it pulls a bit at the heart strings.

I definitely enjoyed this book and would recommend same, Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my based on my personal preference and are in no way biased.

Traces of Her by Amanda Brittany was a real page turner. This book had me hooked and I read this in 2 train trips over the weekend. It was fast paced and keeps you interested all the way. Amanda Brittany tells a great story with characters that you can really feel for.

When Rose' step sister Willow calls her from a holiday home on the coast and tells her that she wants to see her Rose and her daughter head down to see her. Only when they arrive Willow has disappeared. It isn't the first time but when she hasn't returned the next morning she starts to worry. Willow has been looking into the murder of her mother when she was a baby. What has she discovered and has it put her life in danger?

Thanks to HQ Digital and NetGalley for my advanced copy of this book to read. All opinions are my own and are in no way biased.

I really enjoyed this book. As a thriller lover, this story kept me guessing until the very end. I was a little confused in the early pages, trying to keep track of all the characters, but after a few flashback stories, I had it all nailed down. I truly felt for Ava and adored how much she loved her daughter Willow. This story was definitely heart wrenching at times and I seriously wanted to shake both her mother and sister to understand their incredible cruelty. While the end was a surprise, it also requires a little bit of extended imagination. While it’s not exactly realistic, the outcome is certainly possible, overall, I really enjoyed the constant twists and turns. Overall. A really great thriller!

An enjoyable mystery that kept me guessing until very close to the end. Rose’s sister has disappeared , which is not uncommon for her. . This time, however, she has sent Rose photographs of 4 suspects from an old murder case which she has been investigating. A case with close links to her early life.
The action switches back and forth between the search for Willow and the original murder. The characters were sympathetically portrayed and there were plenty of twists and turns before the final denouncement.

This was an engaging murder mystery that kept me guessing. There was no shortage of suspects and the story gripped me from start to finish. I enjoyed the dual timeline and found both past and present storylines interesting. Definitely did not see the twist at the end coming!

An engaging murder mystery that kept me entertained for a few hours.

Rose isn't surprised by the sudden disappearance of her always unreliable sister Willow.
However, this time is different as Rose receives a mysterious package sent from Willow with photos of a cold murder case she had been obsessed with.

Rose has to find her sister before its too late, and also had to dig deeper to solve those long forgotten murders.
Will Rose and Willow survive and uncover the killer, or they will be his next victims?

The plot was pacey and the characters engaging, but when the culprit was identified the mystery became easy to predict. However still enjoyable enough especially for a beach read.

Thanks Netgalley, HQ Digital, and author Amanda Brittany for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

I felt like the overall plot was predictable but not the little parts to reach the surprising ending.

Rose isn’t really surprised when her flaky sister Willow, disappears, she’s hardly the most reliable person. But Rose begins to worry when she gets a package from her sister, one that contains photos of a cold case murder that Willow has been obsessed with. With no other clues to follow, Rose decides to look into the case herself. But what does an old murder in a small Cornish village have to do with her sister’s disappearance. Did Willow uncover something about the case that put her own life in danger? This is a good solid mystery, no major surprises, but an enjoyable read

A thrilling and heartfelt story; draws you in very quickly and doesn't let go. Excellent character development. Highly recommended!

Traces of Her is fast paced and throws you straight into the storyline which is dark, shocking and left me gobsmacked at times. However it falls short on being a mystery, as soon as the “bad” character was introduced I had the plot worked out, that could be because of how many of these books I read so it’s definitely worth a read to see if you work it out before the end!
I’ll finish by saying this book is average but enjoyable. I will be sharing this book with casual readers.
