I wish I can give this book 4.5 stars. Thanks to Netgalley for approving me to read an advanced copy in exchange for a honest review.

I love this author she is one of my favorite. Yes usually her books have cliffhangers and this is one of them.

Jax and Emma's family are at a crossroads. Jax believes her family is the reason why his brother his dead. Emma is wondering whether she knew her father at all. As well as is her brother involve in this. She can't believe what she is hearing and what she has read in her father's journal. In true Lisa fashion this book is sexy and filled with suspense.

I really like Jax and hope he isn't hiding something.

What a great beginning to this new trilogy!
This story is filled with suspense, drama, secrets, questions, and intrigue. I am left with a lot more questions than answers after finishing this story.
The chemistry between Jax and Emma sparks hot right off the bat but what happens when secrets they are keeping from each other threaten to ruin it all?
This fast-paced novel was so entertaining and intriguing that I could not put it down. I can hardly wait to read the next installment.

One Man is book one in the Naked trilogy, which has crossover characters from Dirty Rich and Tall, Dark and Deadly series. Love when we get to intermingle everyone together.
This book is fast paced and I will warn you it end in a hell of a cliffhanger. Cause the author is mean like that! We are following Emma Knight, the only daughter and one of the heirs to the Knight hotels and Jax North, now heir to North Whiskey. They both have secrets and should be enemies but they are trying to work out the mystery together. This one is definitely keeping you guessing as it seems like there are too many threads and if you pull to hard on one everything falls apart.

<b><i>What is this? Everything and nothing that I expected. She is everything and nothing that I expected. Her connection to York, her involvement with him, and then her step away from him, telling me a story. Her words about her father a bigger story. She interests me in ways she was never supposed to interest me. I don’t want to want her and yet, I do.</i></b>

This was the first book I've read by this author and it surely won't be my last. I loved everything about this book, the story, the romance, the drama, the characters, just everything.

The story itself is intriguing, suspenseful, full of secrets and it's one of the rare books where I don't have a single clue what is going to happen. It was a true page-turner which got me invested in the book and left me curious about who is hiding what.

I loved the energy and chemistry between Jax and Emma, the two of them are so hot together and I can't wait to read the rest of their story.

<b><i>"Do you have a preference?" "You," she says softly her eyes meeting mine, her mood shifting, darkening. "You're my preference, Jax:"</i></b>

This book ends with a cliffhanger which left me wanting more of the story and soon. Can't wait for the second book to come out!

Lisa Renee Jones knocked it out of the park with her new trilogy!. I could not put this book down. I laughed, I got angry, I cried, and I smiled with this book. Jax is the ultimate character of perfection with a bad boy style. I want more!

Damn if this author doesn’t know how to write an incredible mystery/suspense book! Emma and Jax story is filled with hot chemistry, lots of mystery and suspense, definitely sucks you in from the very first page and leaves you with a dropped jaw in the end. I’m not a fan of cliff hangers, but I’ve come to love this authors very well written and descriptive story telling, so you don’t mind the OMG what’s going to happen at the end, but I do want the next installment to come out now!!! Chance and York definitely have something up their sleeve, and don’t get me started on Marion. Love that Savage is in this book along with the other Blackwell Security team. All around a really great book, enjoy the ride!

Just finished this book and I cannot believe that it ended that way. I enjoyed it. Im not really a fan of Emma. Something about her just annoys me but I love her and Jax together. Ugh...i can't wait for the next book. I'm so impatient but I know it'll be worth the wait. Lisa is amazing at that.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Emma Knight is a twenty eight year old heiress to the Knights Hotels which is a worldwide hotel chain. Her brother Chase rules the hotel empire and her mother fled to Europe after her father’s death, for reasons few knew. But Jax knew. Emma who was standing next to randall Montgomery , her brother’s right hand and confident. He’s a man on Jax’s radar. He wants emma and her money. She is the farthest down the food chain. No doubt she inherited with her father’s death but Jax wouldn’t be shocked she was given a token token instead of a goldmine Emma is there to accept a philanthropy award on his behalf. Chance is curiously absent. If he were there, Jax wouldn’t be. He nor any of the North family could stand her father not that Jax found her brother anymore palatable. Emma has had Jax’s attention for quite awhile. Jax is the eldest of the living North family. Offsprings, the man who watches her. An irony Emma will understand soon. Jax is here in this hotel for one reason: Emma . She’s here and it’s long past due they meant. It’s long past due she learns about the connection between her family and his. He’d seen Eric Mitchell who was a genius. He’s also V P of one of the largest corporations in the world. The man was born a savant, who sees numbers more than words. Jax mentioned having lunch tomorrow and Eric said he could make that happen. The Knight name is all about luxury and comfort, but it’s core, it’s all about greed. Jax is about the speech emma is giving and the pain at its core. The pain is why he is here. Than Emma comes into the bar alone when voices sound behind her, she peeks over her shoulder and with a panicked look, she darts in his direction. To his surprise and jax doesn’t surprise easily - she slips into the booth with him and pulls the curtain closed. She says” so sorry” “ I need to avoid a conversation and well a moment or ten. The only way to do that is to be having a private meeting that looks as if it’s just that: private, not to be disturbed.” She takes his glass and downs his whiskey . interesting, she didn’t tun to Randall for comfort, but in fact ran away from him. There is a charge between them, an awareness that parts her lips and has her turning away from Jax. “I’ll buy that bottle of whiskey for you,” she says “ for letting me intrude.” a statement that either proves she has no idea who he is or that she’s playing the way a Knight will play. Jax said “Considering I’m a North and that’s North whiskey” She says “ You’re jax north.” She blinks. “Of course you are. You look like the North family.” Jax had lost his father to a ski accident a year ago next week, and his brother Hunter six months ago next month. He leaves out the cause of death. This isn’t a place either of them wants him to go with the Knight family tonight. She said she was a bad drinker. Jax said he will catch her if she fell. She said” Don’t start this relationship by making promises you won’t even try to keep.” She said “never.” jax said” Never. Which is something my friends value and my enemies dread.” Than Emma said” Do you have many enemies?” Jax said “ A man or woman with money and power always have enemies.” He finds he wants Emma to listen, really wanting to protect her, which is a contradiction to everything he would do otherwise where the Knights were concerned. Emma decides to get away calls an Uber and lightly packs . As she gets in the car she sees jax. He was looking for her she knows, Emma feels it in her soul, once she gets involved with jax there is no turning back. And there is no question . No question of coming back from where he takes her. There is no recovery from what Jax North would do to her. Jax lets her go. It’s not their time, he wants Emma too much. That wasn’t part of the plan. Emma had found her father’s journal and reads it and it shows her that her father was really full of deceit and evil. She has to find out what her father was up to.
I really loved this book. But it’s a 4.5 for me because it ended in a cliffhanger and I hate that. Usually I take a full point off my ratings but this was that good. Jax and Emma have hot chemistry. I loved the fast pace and plot. I loved the suspense, drama, and danger. I was drawn into this book in the beginning and stayed there until the end. But again disappointed by the cliffhanger. I loved emma and Jax together. I loved how protective jax becomes of Emma. At times this book had me at the edge of my seat. I didn’t want to put this down. I loved the characters and the twists and turns of this book and I recommend it.

I just wrote another review cursing Lisa Renee Jones for her cliffhangers and that book's ending was nothing compared to this one. Jones can leave you wondering better than any other writer I regularly read. It's exciting and frustrating every damn time.

Jax is hot, nice and in charge. Emma has her share of chutzpah and both are large and in charge in their family's companies. I liked them immensely. Jones excels at creating intense stories with all kinds of intrigue and this book is another stellar example of this talent. I really enjoyed watching the relationship progress between these two. They're well suited and their attraction so intense.

There are so many secrets though and they threaten the businesses, the relationships and these two's very existence.

I cannot wait to find out what comes next.

⭐️ 4.5 Alluring. Passionate. Addictive. Stars ⭐️

Lisa Renee Jones once again masterfully transported me into world dominated by billionaires, filled with betrayals, secrets and loss. Both characters know loss all too well and that commonality just intensified their instant connection and together they’re determined to uncover the secrets that started it all.

Jax North was oh, so sexy from the moment he made his appearance. Cool, controlled, he had a mission and Emma Knight was his target. But the moment he met her his mission was slightly derailed. With her sweetness and air of innocence she couldn’t possibly be connected to what the Knight family did to his.

Jax is now head of his family’s empire and not only does he have the business to manage but he’s set on uncovering recent events that led him to inherit. He knows the Knight family is behind it and Emma being the only daughter she’s an easy target, right? He discovers that’s not the case. She may give off an innocent vibe but deep down she been in survivor mode her whole life. Now she’s learning her family isn’t what she thought and she has just as many questions as Jax does.

I found myself lost in their story. Trying to uncover the clues just as they were. Who can be trusted? Who’s behind what? So many players and none of them appear to be as they seemed. I, too, am now invested in discovering the truth. I’m excited for the next installment and eager to learn more about the North and Knight families. I also want to know what’s in store for Jax and Emma and their budding relationship.

There’s something about the atmosphere of this book that seriously reminds me of the author’s “A Perfect Lie”. A woman buried by the secrets she’s forced to keep, most of them not her own. A sweeping backdrop of family intrigue and betrayal. A man who may be exactly what he seems or might be nothing more than another betrayal in a long line of them. One thing I can say Lisa Renee Jones does with skill and flair is to create labyrinthine rabbit-warrens of double-crosses and conspiracies leaving the reader dazed and confused at the end of the book, wondering just which way is up. And with the cliff hanger this book ends on – literal and figurative – I’m desperate to know what happens next.

Emma Knight and Jax North. An unexpected pair with great chemistry. Two broken individuals trying to deal with recent family losses. Rival families, mystery, revenge and love...this book will grab your attention quickly and leave you hanging. Great start to this trilogy!

It's been a while since I've read Lisa Renee Jones. Just happen to come across this baby and thought yeah I like her writing.

This one started a tad slow for me a little repeadative but I'm glad I finished. The ending really picked up. I totally wasn't expecting the ending. I was only at 88% and that was it!

Jax actually made the story for me, Emma's character was a tad weak for my liking.

It was overall an ok read. However, I probably won't read the rest in the series.

A review of the book has been published, German review is following:

Loved reading the fabulous and awesome first book in the Naked Trilogy series. Jax has one goal on his agenda, to find out who and why his brother was murdered. He pretends to start a relationship with Emma to discover what she knows about her family and the plot against his brother, but his feelings for her become all too real. Jax and Emma want to find the truth but both of them are playing a dangerous game. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of suspense and action, and a must read love story. Can't wait to read the second book in the series.

The first in the Naked Trilogy, One Man, is a sexy, hot, suspenseful romance. A great introduction, I loved the characters and the well delivered story, well maybe not the cliffhanger (only kidding). I don’t normally read three part stories, but Lisa Renee Jones delivers them perfectly and keeps me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment.

I found this story engrossing and had so many questions. Some were answered before the end of part 1 ( wish /I had know that this was to be continued)

I have to say, I wasn't too sure about this one. For starters, even though the Authors writing is right up my street, I just couldn't seem to get into what I has imagined was going to be quite a good storyline. Hopefully I'll be able to review future work of the Author and be able to provide a more positive outlook.
