One Man is a great start to a new trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones filled with romance, intrigue, and suspense. There are plenty of secrets to still be revealed in the story. Book one really only scratched the surface and set up the story line for the other books in the series. With that said there is a huge cliff hanger that has me clamoring for the next book. I did find the book a little difficult to follow who was talking but I still really enjoyed the novel!

One Man, Jax North is on a mission for his brother against the Knight family. Lo and behold he falls for Emma whose last name is... yes you guessed it Knight! Good plot and I liked the two characters however did feel that in some parts the book was repetitive, it felt very rushed at times especially their connection and that they are going to remain together despite what awful news comes out.

The steamy scenes were only ok maybe because it was very rushed between them I didn't buy into it.

Will I read on in the series? Not sure that I will if I'm honest.

Sponsored by Starbucks?
Emma has recently found a journal that belonged to her father describing his dishonorable acts. She is begrudgingly attending a charity event in honor of her father when she meets Jax. Jax holds Emma’s family responsible for his brothers death. Jax plans to use Emma to get information but when they meet sparks fly. It isn’t long before Jax becomes captivated by Emma and is willing to protect her at all costs.
While they are not having sex and drinking Starbucks coffee, Jax and Emma try to discover how deeply involved Emma’s family is in Jax’s brothers death. Emma’s diabolical ex-boyfriend York also plays a role in the secrets Emma’s father is hiding.
I haven’t yet decided if I am going to read book two of this trilogy. Overall the book kept me entertained, but the insta-love between Jax and Emma was annoying. I did appreciate the humor the author injected into an otherwise serious plot. If you do decide to read this trilogy be prepared to crave a latte.

Cute book and easy to read. Story was good and solid. A little slow to start but picked up by the third chapter.

I loved this, amazing chemistry between the characters, well written and a fabulous story. Just one complaint I have to wait for the next after that cliffhanger, not fair ! A hugely entertaining read

Grieving her father's death that was a little over a month ago, Emma Knight, Heiress to the Knight hotel empire, finds herself needing an escape from life in general. Jax North, owner of North Whiskey, know exactly what she's feeling. He also lost his dad not too long ago, and to top it off, he thinks his brother's recent death was suspicious. Feeling that Emma's family had something to do with his brother's death, Jax is trying to get close to her, what he wasn't counting on was their explosive chemistry.

I'll be honest, it took me a few chapters to really get into this book. Once the story started to develop beyond Jax and Emma's chemistry, it grabbed me. Poor Emma, to have everything she thought she knew about the man who raised her to be false, broke my heart. I don't want to say too much because spoilers, but, there were several twists and turns, and a big fat cliffhanger. I can't wait to see were this story goes.

Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.

Loved it, the chemistry between Jax and Emma is kismet as Jax wades into deep waters when he realizes he’s more than attracted to Emma. He finds himself stepping out his comfort zone early in to the story as Emma brings out his protective nature.

What did I like? I liked the mysterious air around Emma, you can tell she’s been through a lot but the author just teases us. The chemistry between the two are hot and that cliffhanger wetted my appetite for more!

Would I buy this book? Yes, even though it has a cliffhanger and I hate waiting but the book was a joy.

Thoughts for the author? Hope One Woman comes soon, I’m dying!

One Man is tough for me to review just because I liked it but then I didn’t.

What I absolutely loved was the romance between Emma and Jax. Swoon. The couple just fits and you are rooting for them from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see how their dynamic grows with all of their family drama.

Now on to what I didn’t like, I felt like the story was going in a constant loop. That just might be me, but it took a little bit of determination to get past the parts that weren’t focused on the relationship of Emma and Jax. It felt dragged out at times especially since the story goes day by day with a bunch of info all thrown together.

Overall I thought it was a decent day read. I’m excited to see how the story unfolds in the next two books.

Thanks for the advanced copy Netgalley!

I have mixed feelings about this book.
The only reason I finished reading this book was because I was so eager to know what exactly happened and it ended in a cliffhanger.
Many subjects were repeated often. It felt like I was reading the same sentence over and over.
It seemed a bit farfetched that Jax and Emma connected so quickly and started plotting.
There was no breathing room for the characters, no space to develop and let the story unfold naturally.

I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. I don't think I'll be reading the next book in the series.

This is the first book in the Naked Trilogy, and the story of Jax North, and Emma Knight. Emma has secrets of her own though, and doesn't plan of sticking around. But the more she resist, the more her wants her, can Emma keep her secrets from Jax, and will Jax find out what happen to his brother?

This was an amazing read, the characters have great chemistry, it's emotional, passionate, steamy, intense, suspenseful, and mysterious. This ends on a big cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next book in the series. This is a must read!

Suspense, drama, secrets, sex, mystery. One Man has it all! What a brilliant start to a new trilogy by Lisa Renee Jones. I loved it.

Jax North is on a mission to avenge his family. He is determined to make the Knight's pay for the death of his brother. Until he meets Emma Knight. Emma is nothing like he expected. The chemistry they experience is more than sexual it is spiritual. Will he let go of his vendetta to keep the girl? Well, we don't know, since this novel is a cliffhanger. Well written and fast paced, it contains just the right amount of intrigue and romance. The only problem is that I have to wait to see what happens next.

One Man leaves you wanting more! Lisa Renee Jones is a master of taking you on a journey with so many twists you’re dizzy by the end. One Man does end on a huge cliffhanger so if that’s not for you, you have been warned.

One thing is certain about this book; it makes you want to keep reading, and as the pace setter for a trilogy, the author has indeed invested in both romance and suspense.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

Wow! That was a crazy cliffy ending! I tend to love almost every Lisa Renee Jones book I read, and this was no exception. Jax was strong, sexy, and confident. I loved him from the start even before I was sure of his motives. The fact that he acted honorably despite his motives kept me enchanted with him. Emma was also strong but with pockets of vulnerability that made me so very curious. I'm left wanting to know so much more than what was revealed in this book. The storyline was pleasingly convoluted, and since the Walker Brothers stories were some of my favorites, I love their tie in to these books. I can't wait to see what happens in book two.

As much as I hate them, Lisa Renee Jones is well known for her intense and heart-stopping cliff-hangers, and the first book of the Naked series has a doozy! With a storyline that will set readers on the edge of their seat and keep them perched there till the last page is turned, the mystery, intrigue and explosive chemistry are just some of the elements that will reel you in.

As with so many other stories by this author One Man starts with a bang and only gets better as the story progresses. The characters are interesting, but Jax North is mouth-watering, so for him alone I will endure the seemingly endless wait till the next instalment of this series. As cliff-hangers go, the final scene of this book is mind-blowing! So be prepared, but I’m sure you will agree that the outcome will be worth every painful, anxious moment of suspense; we can but wait and see.

Wow, what a cliffhanger! This is definitely not a stand-alone book, and I will be reading the sequel ASAP. I've read a few other books by this author and really liked them, so it was fun to see a couple cameos of characters from those books. This started out fast-paced and kept right on going until the absolute end, so there was no time for boredom. There is a lot of secrets and power struggles to figure out amidst tragedy, and the main protagonists Emma and Jax have to figure out who they can trust, and that includes each other. The chemistry between them is instantaneous, steamy and intense, and I loved getting both of their viewpoints throughout the story to see how their relationship develops. I cannot wait to find out what happens to them in the next book!
