I really love a series and a story with overlapping characters. I love getting to know them better and really digging into their personalities and lives. I didn't finish this because I just never felt the hook of the story. I am a really fast reader and spent a week trying my best to feel connected and just didn't. I do think that a reader who likes a light fun story and Hallmark movie days with blankets and coffee will love this book. It's warm and cozy and perfect for a light blanket read.

This is a lovely little love story between a man and a woman, and also between a woman and a small town she left behind and then found again. Thoroughly enjoyable, with relatable characters and good storyline.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Meet Me on Love Lane is the second book in the Hopeless Romantics Series, but can be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. When Charlotte falls down on her luck, she finds herself returning home to Hope Lake. She hasn't been home for a very long time and is about to find out that a lot of things have changed since she's been away. Her hometown is nothing like she remembers. It's thriving and filled with people and hope. And while Charlotte's return home is supposed to only be temporary, she's quickly finding reasons to stay. Her heart is torn between two men and two cities. To find out which guy and city wins Charlotte's heart, you're going to have to pick up Meet Me on Love Lane to find out...

I'm going to be totally honest with you and say that when I picked up this book, I wasn't sure what I was going to be getting myself into. I had kind of a love/hate relationship with the first book, but couldn't resist giving Meet Me on Love Lane a chance. And let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. This story totally won me over and gave me all the feels.

Meet Me on Love Lane grabbed me from the very first page and had me super excited to dive into Charlotte's story. I wanted to know why she left town and never returned before now. I wanted to know why she didn't remember a lot of her past and couldn't wait to find out the answers. Now, usually I'm not a huge fan of love triangles, and this one has one, but it's well done and not over the top in any way. Charlotte finds herself torn between two different men, but I knew right away who was going to be the one to win over her heart.

Meet Me on Love Lane was well written and entertaining. It was a sweet second chance romance filled with hope and the message that you can always return home. Overall, this was a pretty quick read for me and I enjoyed every single second of it. Meet Me on Love Lane totally won me over and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the next book in this series!

Oh lord! What a fantastic, enjoyable, witty, energizing, heartwarming, joyful, humorous reading I had! I was about to cut some points because of the indecisiveness of heroine (She couldn’t choose between a hot English teacher and hot doctor! Okay, when I say it loudly, I know most of you think she is so right! I think I invested our hero so much! But when you read more, you found out it was never a love triangle, wasn’t it?) so for the love those vivid characters, gripping story-telling, amazing word building, all the sighs and “aaawwww” sounds I made, let’s round 4.5 stars up to 5 irresistible charm of the small town stories stars!

First I had to give the awards to those characters perfectly rounded, created and stole my heart, stay in my heart forever:

GIGI is the bat shit craziest, funniest, dreamy, best supporting grandma/housemate character: I think this diamond girl grandma who is in her 90’s, addicted to Apple products, sarcastic, funny, down to earth hippy is my future self (If I could make it after all those delicious white wine, greasy burger consumptions!)

EMMA is the smart, determined, loyal, honest, best supporting adorable friend.

NICK is the hot, trouble maker, entertaining, cupid, Cyrano De Bergerac version of matchmaker, best supporting friend of hero.

HENRY is the shy, golden-hearted, intellectual, cute, devoted best hero/ book-boyfriend.

And CHARLOTTE: even her indecisiveness and some actions she took made me fantasize slapping her forehead several times, I think she is quite fine, talented, genuine, sweet heroine. She just lost her way, her life direction. She just only needed to remember where she belongs.

The book makes you smile so much. At some parts I laughed aloud and got thrown away from the coffee shop so yes I got banned from another place. Dammit! They said I terrorized people because my laughter tunes are hysterical and I terrorized the young mothers and their sweet kids. (Come again?)

Anyways, my cheeks still hurt for too much smiling but this small town story miraculously captivated my heart. It is fast pacing, swoony, romantic page- turner. Especially final revelation about Charlotte and her mom’s story finally made me cry.

And Henry… He was one of the most amazing, loveable, gentle, honest, caring, sweet heroes that you cannot easily find lately on rom-coms. (I’m sick of know-it-all, cocky, pretentious douchebag kinds of Alpha heroes, treating the women like they’re dirt under their shoes!)

If you want to take a break from heavy dramas, angsty fictions, heart throbbing thrillers, this book is AMAZING ESCAPE AND FRESH BREEZE FOR YOUR SOUL, SUNSHINE FOR YOUR HEART!

It’s about friendship, family bounding, discovering yourself, facing your past and finally an epic book about finding your soul mate again!

I think I’m looking forward to read Parker and Nick’s upcoming book. And of course I already added “Roman Crazy” (She co-wrote this book with Wallbanger’s author! I cannot wait to get my hands on it!)

So much special thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Pocket Books for sharing this lovely ARC COPY in exchange my honest review. And of course special thanks to Nina Bocci for creating this fantastic, heartwarming, memorable story!

First I would like to thank NetGalley and Gallery Pocket Books for letting me read this book.

Meet Me On Love Lane was the romantic comedy that I didn't know I needed until now. I absolutely feel head over heals with this book, and didn't want it to end. The book follows the main character, Charlotte, as she returns to her childhood home of Hope Lake temporarily. Since moving away with her mother when she was 10, Charlotte has forgotten almost everything about this town, even some of it's people. The book takes us on a journey as her friends and family attempt to jump start her memory, and convince her to stay in this amazing little town that has so much to offer. While visiting she has her eyes on two of the towns attractive men. One happens to be the partner of her fathers doctor practice, the other is her childhood best friend that she does not remember.

This book has so much to offer. I loved the characters, and wanted them to be my friends too. My favorite character is Gigi, Charlotte's grandmother. She is a spitfire and lives her life by her own rules. I found her to be hilarious and want my own Gigi in my life. Hope Lake has that charming small town feel, and has everything you need for a budding summer romance. While I thought the idea that she doesn't remember much of her childhood a little far fetched, I think it added a lot to the story. I enjoyed the flashbacks to her childhood, and thought it added depth to the story.

I can't say enough good things about this book. It was charming and I wanted to be literally sucked into to Hope Lake, and become one of it's residents.

⭐⭐⭐💫 rounded up

This is the second book in the Hopeless Romantics series and I'm really enjoying it so far. The first book is enemies to lovers (my favorite trope) and the second one is a second chance romance plus it has a spectacular cover. After a few tough historical fiction reads this was exactly what I needed.

What I loved about this book:

1. I loved Charlotte's Gigi. While she may not be everyone's cup of tea, I found her to be completely hilarious. I hope when I'm super old I'm as awesome as she is.

2. I'll say it again (just like I did in my review for the first book), I love the small town of Hope Lake. The community vibe and the people make this a place somewhere I would love to go. While you get to know the town a bit in the first book, you get to see grow a little more in the second one. Plus the whole town is environmentally conscious.

3. Henry is probably my favorite thing about this book. Geez he's so swoony worthy and definitely a guy most bibliophile's dreams are made of. He's an English teacher, volunteers at a book store reading to children, and isn't a commitaphobe (plus by the way he's described he sounds super hot). Don't tell my husband, but I may have a tiny crush 😂.

What kept me from giving this book 5⭐?

The storyline surrounding Charlotte's character was a bit out there and wasn't my favorite. While I enjoyed this one, it would have been a lot more enjoyable with a different plot (besides the romance). I would have also liked to get a bit more of Henry's POV because Henry was my favorite part of this book.

Overall I found this book to be a cute, charming, quick read. If your looking to find yourself immersed in small town life with a good romance, pick this one up December 10th when it publishes.

This book felt much more like a love letter to a small town than a rom-com. It was not bad by any means it just felt rushed and too slow all at the same time. Rushed in that some scenes felt cut short while the love interests bit of things was slow / anti-climatic. It was obvious from the start who Charlotte was going to end up with but there was no real action on the love front til closer to the end of the book and no real conflict. Based on the description, I thought there would be a bit more of a love triangle and Charlotte really falling for two people. The author did a great job with making the reader feel like they were in the town of Hope Lake. Gigi’s character was fun.

I love the way Nina Bocci writes. This series has become a must read for me. I love her characters. I love the setting. I love it all so much that it took me about half of the book to realize I was kind of bored. Contentedly bored. As with the first book in this series you cannot think too hard about the set up for the story or you are liable to spend all of your time picking it apart. Better to just roll with it. The problem is there isn't all that much left after the set up. The way the book is going to end is crystal clear from the get go and there isn't a lot of tension. It is a pleasant journey from point A to point B but it ultimately won't be a very memorable one. Still this is a great low stress read to pick up after a hectic day.

Great feel good romantic novel for all readers. Well written and came full circle for Charlotte.

Charlotte is uprooted from her childhood home when her mother lands a job in NYC. Returning after 20something years, she realizes all her memories of the town are suppressed. With the help of family and friends Charlotte allows herself to remember and believe in happy endings.

Charlotte is frightened and returning to her home town of Hope Lake because she has no where else to go. Her mother moved her to New York City when she was 10 and Charlotte has never returned. In fact Charlotte's mother made Hope Lake sound so horrible Charlotte never wanted to return and with her father and grandmother visiting her in New York City she never had to. What Charlotte finds in Hope Lake surprises her, it is nothing like her mother described. In Hope Lake Charlotte finds what she never knew she was missing, family, friends, and community. A story of becoming yourself.

Meet Me on Love Lane was a refreshing and very enjoyable read. When I finished this book, I wanted to move to this sweet town full of wonderful people. I loved these characters and I felt for Emma and her memory loss. This story goes deeper than your average sweet romance. I had my pick for Emma from the beginning and loved seeing how each of her relationships developed. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I loved this book! I flew through it on my first day of vacation on my kindle. This book is beautifully written, set in an adorable small town (which I love books set in small towns) and has so much character growth! Her Gigi was my favorite character and has so much spunk for a 90 year old lady! Charlotte has to face some hard things in her past to get where she wants to be. I love how I didn't predict the ending. This is the first book I’ve read by @ninapolitan and it won’t be my last.

I was so excited to receive this arc after enjoying the first installment in Bocci's Hopeless Romantics series, On the Corner of Love and Hate. This one keeps up the easy, engaging storytelling of the first with some new and familiar characters. I found myself really connecting with Charlotte and rooting hard for her and Henry, who was one of my favorites from the last book. It's a sweet, hopeful love story that kept me wanting to read more about the residents of the cozy little Hope Lake.

I absolutely loved this book! I enjoyed On the Corner of Love and Hate, Nina Bocci's first book in the Hopeless Romantics series, so I couldn't wait to read Meet Me on Love Lane, and this is my favorite book in the series.

At ten years-old, with her parents divorcing, Charlotte's mom moves her to New York, leaving her father, grandmother and friends behind in Hope Lake. Charlotte never returned to Hope Lake for a visit and after her life in New York falls apart, she goes back home to Hope Lake to figure out what is next. Everyone in Hope Lake remembers Charlotte, but she doesn't really remember the town or anyone in it, including her best friend from growing up, Henry. With the help of Emma and her grandmother, Charlotte starts to see that everything her mother told her about Hope Lake wasn't true, as she discovers what she really wants out of life along the way.

I loved the character of Charlotte, she made me laugh and she had me crying a few times throughout the book, you can't help but root for her. And Henry, your heart breaks for him when he wants Charlotte to remember even the tiniest detail of their childhood together.

I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series, that will follow Nick and Parker. I hope Bocci will continue the series, since it was nice to catch up with Emma and Cooper in Meet Me on Love Lane as well.

Charlotte Bishop left her childhood home, her father, grandmother and best friend behind when her unstable mother moved her to NYC at the age of 10. Fifteen years later - ladden with baggage of both the emotional and physical variety - she returns to Hope Lake for the first time with little money, a ruined professional reputation, and no memories of the ten years she lived there. Worst of all, she doesn't remember her childhood bff who is now all grown-up and a mega-babe, Henry...but he remembers everything.

Unrequited childhood love? SIGN ME UP.

Charlotte Bishop is returning to Hope Lake after being gone for 20 years. After her parents contentious, at best, divorce her mom moved them to New York cutting all ties with the small town and never allowing Charlotte contact with anyone from her childhood. Now that her mother has passed and she's lost her job she needs space to slow down, regroup, and figure out what she wants to do. Making a surprise appearance at her dad's house the whole town is talking about Charlotte and her return, unfortunately for her, she has no real memories of the town or people including her best friend Henry. Catching the attention of the town's hot new doctor who also happens to work with her dad threatens to complicate things, especially while she's trying to remember all the people and places she grew up with. When offered her dream job of running her own florist shop Charlotte has to make a decision.

This is such a sweet and heartbreaking book all at once. I immediately was rooting for Henry, his quiet soft-spoken nature, while at the same time seeing the appeal of Dr. Max. I was so heartbroken for Charlotte and her relationship with her mom, the emotional abuse, the manipulation, it's so hard to think of someone going through that and the lasting effects, not just on her but also her dad and their relationship. Gigi was my favorite, so funny and full of life despite her age and all the hardships she's lived through, just excited to have her granddaughter back. I really enjoyed this story, it's minimal conflict despite Charlotte's childhood, we don't see it just hear about it, and a small love triangle.

If you're looking for a sweet, easy love story than this one if for you! The book felt really authentic and like a real couple's story. Can't wait to read her next one!
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed On the Corner of Love and Hate, so when the second installment in the Hopeless Romantics series became available, I jumped at the chance to read it! Right off the bat, the prologue alone of Meet Me on Love Lane grabbed me! I thoroughly love Nina Bocci’s writing style and I knew very early on this was 100% going to be a 5 star read for me!

Meet Me on Love Lane centers around Charlotte Bishop who finds herself down on her luck after getting fired and running out of money. Needing a soft place to land, Charlotte packs up and heads to Hope Lake, Pennsylvania where her beloved dad and grandmother live. Having not been back to Hope Lake since she was a kid, she’s not really sure what to expect. Well have no fear, the fabulous inhabitants of this endearing town will surprise her in the best possible way! What shocked Charlotte even more was the immediate chemistry she felt with her “new” friend, Henry...most definitely feels more than friendship!

Honestly, I adore this series and I really hope Nina Bocci plans many more installments in the future! The storyline had humor that made me laugh out loud, but wow, there is so much depth packed into this novel too! I love the town of Hope Lake and all of its endearing residents! Meet Me on Love Lane is a 5 star book that I can’t recommend enough! I’m already so excited for the next novel is this fantastic series!
