The such a lovely story! The novel was about a ordinary, reclusive author, a bubbly innkeeper, and a lost letter. Molly & her siblings tragically lost their parents in an accident and decided to turn thier home into an inn as a tribute to them. Adam was the first visitor and came to visit the inn as inspiration to writer his next book. I like that Adam was not your typical hero. He was just fine. I liked that Molly was the total opposite of Adam but still was great heroine for him. They fit perfectly. They both had been hurt in the past but in the end, they didn’t let that affect their present and future. There are quite few revelations in this story that God definitely orchestrated it. I totally recommend this!

Wow!!
This book was awesome. I laughed, I cried, I squealed. As with any Denise Hunter book. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
We are all ordinary people in the end. Whatever expectations we have of ourselves and how God people see us, it's God who gives us assurance of who we are in him. Molly and Adam were so real and I loved their vulnerability and insecurities. It made them so relatable.
It's easy to pull back into ourselves to avoid getting hurt like the characters did, but it prevents us from enjoying other aspects of life. I was so happy when they came to the realisation that their identity alone comes from God alone. He's all that matters.

I loved this book! After some tragic and heart wrenching life changes, the Bennett children decide a change is needed, Molly gives up her dream, along with her brother Levi, so that their sister, Grace can finish high school. Setting their sights on opening an inn, they all work together, to get it ready to open. When Molly, mistakes a guest, as a friend of her brother's, he sent to help her, things get interesting. Adam is in town to hopefully overcome writers block, writing under a pseudonym he prefers to keep his anonymity. Adam thinks he may have met someone who will help inspire him to get over his lack of being able to write. When Molly's family finds a long lost love letter, Molly enlists Adam's help to find the person who wrote it and who it was intended for. A book that I couldn't put down. A great beginning to a series, I can't wait for the next book.

I give Lake Lesson five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!

I've heard readers say they will give a book one or two chapters and if not interested it will get put aside. However, one can't do that with a Denise Hunter novel! A few chapters in I simply thought this book was about a shallow, immature, fangirling heroine obsessing over her favorite male author. But loving Hunter's books as I do, I kept on reading and found out just how very wrong I was.
Lake Season is an absolutely delightful read—one that will scatter your battered emotions all over the page with laughing-out-loud moments, a dual timeline with two angst-filled romances, heartbreaking, ugly cry scenes, and very likeable characters. Once again Ms. Hunter exhibits her expertise as an author by penning a unique, witty, multifaceted story with as many layers as an onion!
Guaranteed to keep the reader madly flipping those pages to discover the secrets contained in an old letter and the slim possibility of a HEA after a deceit is revealed—Lake Season is definitely one not to be missed!

A lost letter, a new love, and old secrets beckon this summer at the Bluebell Inn.
When their parents die in a tragic accident, Molly Bennett and her siblings pull together to fulfill their parents’ dream: turning their historic Bluebell, North Carolina home back into an inn. The situation would just be temporary—three years at the most—then they would sell the inn and Molly could get back to chasing her own dreams.

Lake Season is the first entry of the Bluebell Inn series. This swift romantic novel is just what the doctor ordered for an afternoon of rest. The budding friendship soon to be romance revolves around the mystery of a love letter lost for decades. Ms. Hunter never seems to disappoint her fans and this new series appears to be her next hit. The reader is quickly taken along for the journey to discover who the recipient of the long lost love letter is and the mystery of what separated this couple.
Lake Season is familiar in that girl can’t seem to trust her heart to another after getting burned but the added mystery keeps one reading to find out the rest of the story. The ending, at least for this reader, was a pleasant surprise and made the journey and cheering all the worthwhile. Readers will eagerly await the next in the series. Which sibling will be next to take the plunge?
I received an ARC ebook from Netgalley and the publisher, Thomas Nelson, in exchange for an honest review.

Lake Season is the first book in Hunter's new BlueBell Inn series. Molly Bennett and siblings decide to open the Inn their parents were renovating when they died suddenly in a car accident. Novelist Adam Bradford mistakenly becomes the first guest before the Inn opens. Molly and Adam soon come across a letter that has them working together to get it to it's original recipient This is a delightful romance and I also enjoyed the second story of the mysterious letter. I look forward to book two in the series.
I received a . complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley and Thomas Nelson, but all opinions are my own.

First novel in Bluebell Inn series showcases Molly Bennett. Molly and her 2 siblings inherit an Inn from their parents who died suddenly in a car accident. Their first guest is reclusive author, Adam, who hides under the pseudonym Nathaniel Grey. Molly finds a letter in the wall during Inn renovations and the mystery surrounding the letter is revealed in the alternate story of Lizzie and Benjamin. The two timelines come together at the end to reach a somewhat surprising but satisfying conclusion. Looking forward to the stories of Molly’s siblings in the upcoming novels.

This book was just so-so for me. There were some good parts when Molly and Adam had great chemistry, but the rest of the story line lagged and had me rolling my eyes at times. Molly had a hard time forgiving Adam for not telling her that he was an author, but he wrote under a fictional name and didn't tell anyone. They weren't dating and i don't understand why she felt like he owed that to her, and she wouldn't let it go. After a while, it got on my nerves. It was constantly tied back to her previous relationship, but we are never told what Dominic(her previous boyfriend) had done.
This just fell a little flat for me. I was still read the rest of the series though.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This is the start of a new series and I can’t wait for more. This book has it all romance , history and a wonderful town, that I want to visit again and again

Lake Season is the latest romantic novel by Denise Hunter. It is the first book in a new series, and this one starts the series off with a good helping of romance, history, and family. It’s a sweet story and well worth enjoying.
When Molly’s parents die in a car crash, she and her two siblings commit to finishing their parents’ dream — the refurbishment of their home as an inn. In the midst of final preparations, an unexpected guest arrives and Molly doesn’t have the heart to turn him away. Little does she know that the shy, unassuming Adam Bradford is actually Molly’s favourite author, Nathaniel Quinn. When they find a 50-year-old letter hidden in the walls, Molly recruits Adam to help her track down the intended recipient.
Lake Season has a lot of sweet layers and details that make this a really heartwarming story. The letter itself and the story that unfolds after its discovery is one of summer love, missed chances, prejudice and broken dreams. Along with the letter and clues Adam and Molly discover, readers are treated to a number of sections that take them back to the letter writer’s time, giving more detail to the story.
Molly and her siblings are dealing with a whole lot of grief in the wake of their parents’ unexpected deaths. The three siblings bicker and nag, support and love and work well together. As well as grief, Molly is still struggling with resentment, fear and disappointment from a previous relationship. As she starts to develop feelings for Adam, it is her fear that leads her to pull back.
Adam is a bestselling writer, but in his father’s eyes, he will always be a disappointment. Adam really struggles with feelings of inadequacy, which cause him to misjudge some situations and prevent him from acting on his growing attachment to Molly.
As Molly and Adam search for the letter’s recipient, they must face their fears or risk losing their chance to be together. I enjoyed their halting romance and the very real emotions they were dealing with. The surprise twist at the end was also a nice touch.
Lake Season is the perfect lazy weekend afternoon read and I look forward to continuing the series.
The publishers provided an advanced readers copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed lake season a lot. It was a story that tugged at your heartstring and didn't let go. It was a wonderful love story and a story if a family determined to make a dream come true. A lost letter always intrigues me so I had to keep reading to find out what happened. I enjoyed all the characters especially Adam and Molly. It'd been cool if they were real. Denise Hunter does a great job capturing your imagination and creating a story you can be a part of. I liked how she weaved valuable lessons throughout the story.
I recommend this book to my family and friends.
I received this book from the publisher to read and give my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Lake Season by Denise Hunter What a delightful, engaging story with a hint of mystery. Exceptional characters not just Molly and Jordan, but also Molly's brother and sister (Levi and Grace) and their friends (Jordan and Skye). First in a series with the Bennett family, am looking forward to the next book.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

Great start to a new series! Denise Hunter always writes wonderful, heartfelt stories. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

This might be my favorite Denise Hunter book of all time. Considering the fact that I think I have read all (if not most) of her books, that is saying a lot. What I loved about this one is the connection from the past to the present. The emphasis is on moving on from choices that are forced upon us. Unconditional love and acceptance is also prevalent. For some characters, they have that all along. For others, the difficult times were what pushed them on to new directions. The love story was so, so sweet, and so were the family connections. I was truly sad when the book was over. I am hoping this one is the first one in a series! Thanks to #netgalley and Thomas Nelson for allowing me to read a preview copy. I will be recommending this book again and again.

This is a great beginning to the series. Here we learn about Molly one of the three siblings. She and her siblings, Levi and Grace are taking over the Bluebell Inn in North Carolina after a tragedy in their family. Adam, an author who is looking for inspiration in this sleepy town collides with Molly. They both have no idea what is in store and how divine intervention plays a huge part. I loved finding out how the pieces of this story puzzle came together. It was sweet and romantic in every way. Denise Hunter has become a favorite over the past few years. She is able to write in a way that keeps you guessing until the end. I can't wait to learn about the other siblings.

I love Denise Hunter’s books and Lake Season was no exception. This book has a great plot, setting and believable characters. Couldn’t put this book down, just had to keep reading. My thanks to the publisher for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.

This is a new series by Denise Hunter. When Molly Bennett’s parents die her and her siblings want to finish their parents dreams of turning there historic home into an inn.
Adam Bradford also known as best selling author Nathaniel Grey has a bad case of writers block. He travels to the inn desperate for inspiration. He meets Molly a young inn keeper who thinks she’s in love with his alter ego. She gives him inspiration.
Molly finds an old letter in the walls of the inn and with Adam tried to find the star crossed lovers to give them closure. The guest she invites along has his own secrets.
This book is not only a love story but also a mystery. It was fun watching Molly and Adam get to know each other and become friends and then turn into love. This is a book with characters who feel real and have real problems and emotions.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for a new book to check out it was good. I enjoyed it. It wasn’t my favorite of Denise Hunters book but it was a good story and I enjoyed it and I am sure it will be a book I reread many times in the future.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Net Galley and the publisher. All views expressed are my honest opinion.

This book was so fantastic! This is the second book I have read by Denise Hunter, and she is quickly climbing my favorite authors list. She has a knack for making her characters feel so real and easy to relate to.
I loved these siblings and the way they all banded together after their parents deaths to make their dream come true. I was drawn in right away and was not ready to leave yet when I turned that last page.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian fiction.

New series, new family, new location! These are all the things I love about one of my favourite authors releasing a new collection.
A totally different approach - one that at first I wasn’t too sure about but comes together so perfectly!
Tragedy has hit the Bennett siblings, and I was rooting for them from the start for happiness and recovery. This story begins with Molly, middle child, but oldest daughter & she definitely has taken on that role of matriarch. Adam is their first guest at the Inn and will be staying for the summer.
So many parallels between both sets of storylines and all the while you’ll be carried away to another time and place - this book captured my heart! I loved the placement of God in all the right places. ♥️
Lake Season has a unique style and plot. There is no guessing what will come around the corner. Those pages will just keep turning...
Thank you to Netgalley for the eARC. This is my honest review.
