I was so excited to use this book through Advent with the little ones in my life, and it definitely did not disappoint. The illustrations are beautiful and eye catching, and the reflections are worded in a way that is easy for children to understand. I was able to read it to kids of various ages, and they all got something different about it and loved the experience. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to add to their liturgical living book library!

A journey through the Bible throughtout the season of Advent. Each day readers explore a verse of the Bible focusing on one of the many gifts God has given us. There is also a challenge or question to consider each day along with a short prayer. Each page is accompanied by a bright illustration, mainly formed of simple geometric shapes that gives a pictoral presentation of the gift described.

This would be a good journey through Advent for Christian families who wish to focus on the true meaning of Christmas in the lead up to the big day.

I received an eARC of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

All through the month of December as you read with your child, you will discover all the great gifts God has given. Each day starts with the gift God has given us, a verse, and the story behind the gift. It is a journey through the bible. Each day ends with thankfulness of that special gift and a promise of the best gift ever with the question do you know what this gift may be. It is a great way to end your day with your child and to pray together.

If you value a devotion that will instill thankfulness of who God is, you will appreciate this devotion. The illustrations are colorful and the narration is thoughtful with a hope to discuss deep spiritual needs. Highly recommend.

A Special Thank you to Harvest House Publishers and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest revie

I *think* this probably a beautiful advent family book - the illustrations are charming... but, as mentioned in other reviews below, it does not format for Kindle well at all. I could make out some of the actual writing with some intense squinting and eye strain, but was frustrated. The bits I managed to interpret were nicely written lending focus to the true meaning of Christmas.

As mentioned in the other reviews, it does not lend itself well to kindle or even the kindle app on my phone. The illustrations look nice, but as for the contents, I can't really say.

So looking forward to reading this book when I opened it I couldn’t read the writting it was so tiny it was hardly worth trying to read this sadly. I wasn’t going try making it bigger as heard from other people it made it blurred. I so wanted to read this book.

First of all, I could not read the text because it was too small and when i tried to zoom in it got blurry.
I love the idea of each chapter, it would be nice in one year to go through the book, but I don’t see me doing a traditional reading each Christmas.
The illustrations are nice, but some are complicated. The book does not make me wait more for Christmas. It’s the kind of book you can go through all year around and not feel that something is missing
