I don't know why i continue to pick up these books, because I know that W. Bruce Cameron will tug at my heart strings EVERY TIME! Even though this one is designed for a younger audience, I still end up in a puddle of goo every time I read one of his stories.

How can you not read a W. Bruce Cameron novel and not love it? Let's be real most the novels being in the POV of a dog you can't help but not love every second of the novel.

I usually don't read books about dogs. It's not like I dislike them, but I prefer cats.
This book was very well written, amazingly flawless story, and a beautiful moral from it.
Mr Cameron is one of a kind when it comes these cute dogs books! I loved every page!

Such a lovely light read. Just a feel good book and also sad but a fun read. I hope Bailey keeps helping humans!

This book follows Bailey on his newest adventure being a “good dog”. Bailey is sent back by Ethan to help a teenager who is paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheelchair. The family members a descendent of Hannah and live on Ethan’s farm. Bailey returns for multiple lives as different dogs to help the family through trials and tribulations. A definite tear jerker, but also a heart warming read!

Great addition to the series -perhaps the best yet, Loved the interaction between the animals and their humans. Hope my fur babies follow me through our lives!

It takes a lot for a novel to make me cry but this one did. As in his earlier novel A Dog's Purpose Cameron tells the story of a family and brings characters together through their connection to a special canine. This is a lovely novel especially for those who love dogs.

This was a book for dog lovers! I have not read the previous two books in the series however the book stands alone for the most part. A dog who is in heaven is sent down to a new family in order to help a disabled boy. However as the book goes on and the dog continues to return to them in many different forms, you realize his purpose is much greater. This was a feel good book written from the dog's point of view. It ws humorous at times and heart-breaking at others. I am looking forward to reading the books I missed in this series.

I received a complimentary copy of A Dog's Promise from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
First of all, I hate to say that I am kicking myself right now, because I already owned 4 books in this series, which I have never read. (I bought a couple of them years ago and one was donated to my lending library.) I had not read them because I am generally not "a dog book person". I have read all of the tearjerker classics and I was over it. This does not mean that I didn't cry at several points during this book--because I did. The good news is that I didn't cry for long, and I wasn't depressed for days after finishing the book, because it ended on a high note and left me with an overall "life is good" feeling.
After reading A Dog's Promise, I want to not only read, but also own this whole set! I absolutely LOVED Cooper (Bailey/Riley/Oscar). He was a great dog--but an even better story-teller. Truthfully, even without the very clever and unique connecting thread of the dog's consciousness, the storylines are just wonderful. I probably would have liked reading them either way...but from the dog's point of view--well that was just precious!! (Information from this point of view is also vague enough to keep me wondering until I can gather more details later in the book...) This novel definitely kept my attention, was difficult to put down, and made me fall in love with the human characters. (I kind of even have a new appreciation for my own dog--look at her in a different light. I also have a date with several books from my own shelf for my summer reading at the end of this school year.) A special thank you to W. Bruce Cameron for some amazing new perspective literature. I now see what all the hype has been about!!
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Another wonderful book in this series. I loved how this book focused on dog rescue and therapy dogs. There was also a lot of different family conflicts and resolutions that were interesting to read and as always, the dogs' thoughts about humans and their habits and actions are very funny to read.

Bailey in all forms will always make me fall in love and in turn break my heart, but I can’t stop myself from wanting more and more. There is something about his innocence and hope in the midst of a cruel world that is addicting. And now he gives us a new message for all humans: Assist. Maybe we, too, can learn this command and make someone’s life just a little better! Thank you, Bailey!

My dogs are my best friends. I love Cameron's books because they make me wonder what my dogs are feeling and thinking. I have to keep tissues near me because I cry several times reading his books. This one was very good and I love reading about Bailey and all of his other dog experiences. Love the picture on the cover!

This story just gets hold of you from the start. It’s well written book, and it is a bit predictable but still is so enjoyable. I love this series and I saw two of the movies which were moving and memorable. It is emotional, heartwarming and funny!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my ow

As W. Bruce Cameron has done in all the books in this series, he uses animals to teach a lesson. A Dog's Promise tells of the life of a particular dog who learns to adapt to his surroundings. I found it a great read and I couldn't put it done due to wanting to know what would happen next. I appreciated the take on an unfortunate situation and how to make it better for all involved. A really great read.

I am so grateful to NetGalley for the ARC of this novel! I love all of W. Bruce Cameron's novels, so I was very excited to read the third book in the Dog's Purpose series. It was just as I expected and then some. Beautifully written, I laughed, I cried (several times), I gasped. It was such a wonderful story. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I'll just say that it ends by wrapping everything up like a Christmas present and plops a big bow right on top. Fantastic!

W. Bruce Cameron has done it again! Another beautifully written, heartwarming installment in the "Dog's Purpose" series. This one finds Bailey being reborn again to fulfill a promise to his beloved human, Ethan. Helping along his journey is his soul mate, Lacey, another very special dog who plays many roles in his quest. This book touched my heart and like the others in the series left me with a sense of love and comfort. By allowing us to see the world from a dog's perspective, it's no surprise that humans could learn more about empathy, kindness and compassion from their canine companions if they just paid attention. I highly recommend it for all who have experienced the joys and sorrows of having a cherished dog.

For those who read the first two books in this series the third story will not disappoint. Some of the story seemed repetitive and it was a little hard to follow. Dog lovers will enjoy this series.

A Dog’s Promise is a sequel to A Dog’s Journey. I didn’t know that until after I finished, but it reads well as a stand alone.
This is a marvellously written book, entirely from a dog’s point of view. It makes you question some of your own actions as seen through a loyal dog’s eyes.
The book spans many dog years as well as human years and as life does, animals and people age, get sick or hurt and we lose them to death. It’s very sad, but it’s God’s plan. I felt a ton of different emotions as I smiled, felt goosebumps rise in my skin and tears springing to my eyes. I think this book made me more appreciative of my life and those who surround me.

I don’t know if I believe in reincarnation, but I can’t say it is or is not God’s plan.

This book is deeply emotional and beautifully written.
I an so thankful to Netgally for the opportunity to read this ARC.
