I enjoyed this book. This is a new author for me and I look forward to reading more from them. This is a well developed story that brings house haunting to a new level. The characters bring the story to life as Paul and the demon fight for Paul's wife spirit. I enjoy a good house haunting story and this is one of the great ones. It is a fast paced story that I found to be engaging and easy to read. The twists and turns kept me turning pages to the end. I was pulled into this haunted house right from the start and it kept me engaged for sure. I highly recommend this book.

Hauntingly good read. From the very beginning the book is engrossing and the story will keep you firmly in its grasp. After losing his wife, Paul has to figure out how to get his life back on track and this leads to selling the Stillwell mansion. Is it haunted? Is he going crazy? Very enjoyable.

Thank you NetGalley, Michael Phillips Cash and Red Feather Publishing for this advanced reader edition and hearing my honest review. Looking forward to reading more with you

Stillwell is a decent read, but not a edge of your seat type of book. A few errors and a bit slow. The characters were not well developed.

Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this book. I don't enjoy giving away to many details or the plot, but I will have to give conflicting reviews. As a story, I really enjoyed it. The story was compelling and elicited all the emotions for the characters and their plight. It was face paced, which I really enjoyed.
However as a thriller/horror fan I was let down by the climax and the ending of the story. Not that it wasn't well written or a poor story. It just was so far off from what I was expecting and hoping for by the time I got to the end of the book

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview Stillwell by Michael Phillip Cash. I loved Monsterland - and I see now that it looks like that book will become a movie. Totally original.
Cash brings the same horror to his new book Stillwell.- Paul's wife has passed away - the loss is devistating. Paul's children are suffering as well. Paul, a real estate investor, has lost alot of his life savings due to his wife's illness so he now must return to work to keep his family afloat. When the Stillwell Manor falls into Paul's lap it seems to be a blessing.
Stillwell Manor has it's own history, and when the house seems to be sending Paul and his family messages, they start to realize this is no ordinary mansion. And when Paul sees his deceased wife, he really starts to question his sanity.
This is a love story with a spooky twist. Some editing issues should be fixed prior to release and maybe more horror twists would keep readers on edge more. All in all 3.5 stars.

I was born and raised in Long Island so as soon as I saw this book I was like...this is made for me. I got a ghost story but I didn't expect it to be so sad and cloying. This book is heartbreaking and deals with themes such as profound loss which made it difficult to read but it is still very enjoyable.

There are no major scares but that's fine. I don't want to spoil too much either but the book seems very much metaphorical. I can't say I liked the ending very much but the first two halves are terrific and this definitely makes me want to read more from the author.

Thanks very much to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this ARC.
