This was my first book by this author, and I can positively say that I really enjoyed reading this one. Its captivating. For sure I will be checking other books written by this author.

This collection was ok. I think I liked less than a handful and the rest were eh. I did enjoy that all the stories were from a woman’s point of view.

A terrific collection of erotica from a woman's point of view. Their is a little something for everyone and everyone's tastes. An enjoyable read.

Thank you to #NetGalley for an ARC of this collection in exchange for an honest review.

Rachel Kramer Bussel the editor of Best Women's Erotica of the Year has chosen some hot and steamy pieces to round out this collection. It has a little something for everyone. Each short story is distinctly different from another. Each covers one or more aspects of female sexual desire. This collection might not be for the faint of heart as it explores a variety of niches each piece allows individuals to explore their own sexual desires and journeys. This collection allowed me to discover several new writers along the journey. If you are looking for something hot and steamy this is the collection for you.

This was just ok for me. Being an avid erotica reader (with various sub-genres thrown in) I didn't feel like this was something that I just had to read. The stories were good and I appreciated their brevity. This is actually good for the times you want to get your fix but you don't have the time to devote to learning characters and the plot.

Fairly good for an anthology ( which are not my favorite. I especially liked the story in the sculpture gardens and the one on enjoying being watched. Both were erotic in an artsy sort of way that was quite compelling.

The best thing about this collection of stories is that it has a little bit of everything and is for everybody.

It's funny but my favourite stories were the less explicit (and this is erotica!). I personally loved Anna's Hansen "Broken thing fixed" because it was just so heartwarming and it features "second chance romances" which is a trope that I love. You could really feel the love between the 2 main leads.

I also loved "The summer of 1669" which is a story about two women, it has a bittersweet ending though.

Since this is a collection for everybody that also means that sometimes some stories aren't for you. For example I don't like reading about BDSM D/s or gang bangs (they make me uncomfortable, not my kink) so I DNF those stories. And I have to say that some stories were more well-written than others, some were more like porn than sensual and erotic.

Like the Volume 4, "Best women's erotica" as a whole is about consent, exploring ones desires and it's "body positive", sexy, diverse and inclusive.

Also this is good place to start for non-readers of the subgenre, you can read and discover which are the tropes/topics that you enjoy more.

Solid three stars. As with most erotica anthologies, there is something for everyone but everything is probably not for everyone. I really enjoyed about half the stories, and the other half were not my taste.

The short stories in this book run a HUGE gamut of content - all of it erotic and well-written. Whether or not the reader will love ALL the stories in the book is up for debate because of the huge span in content - from the fantastical, as in the hermaphroditic mermaid, to lesbian love, to some light BDSM, to threesomes...phew! Get ready to get your panties in a twist, in the best possible way.

Starting this eclectic mix of short erotic stories with one by Sierra Simone is genius.
This collection covers a lot of aspects of sexual female desires and, depending on your usual hotness-factor-preference, can be more or less appealing going from one story to another.

I applaud the diverse authors and story plots ranging from rather tame fantasies to straight out super hot and sometimes even out-there.

These are quick, hot reads that you'll easily devour one by one in the space of a glass of wine each. Perfect for those short on time.

Thank you for granting me the opportunity to read these stories before publication. The review is based on my own personal opinions.

Like any collection, I enjoyed some stories a lot, some were just okay, and some were not my thing. I found some new authors to follow, revisited some old favorites, and generally had a good time zipping through these stories. The stories were definitely erotic, though some were not quite as hot to me, but hey, different strokes for different folks. Overall, this was a good collection.

The best women's erotica of the year? This is a stretch.

It is an average collection of women's erotica stories, but far from the best.

While there are a few gems, most are written to a formula and lack creativity or imagination required in the genre.

There was some weird typos, like the words were oddly hyphenated.

This was an interesting collection of short stories. Some were definitely better than others. Some were just a bit too strange for my liking, which is saying a lot since I tend to read a lot in this genre. It was a quick read though. An if you are looking for a smutty collection of stories, maybe try this one out.

Great short stories! While not all of them were my favorite genre, most were obviously well written. I also liked the fact that the stories were short. With my busy schedule, sometimes a shorty story is just what I need. 4 stars.

I really enjoyed this set of short stories. There is definitely something for everyone. From porn stars to mermaids - yep, mermaids. These authors bring you a range of erotica you didn't even know existed. Sierra Simone's story was a stand out for me and I also loved the CD Reiss contribution.

One thing I love about these is the opportunity to find new to me authors to follow into other stories.
Will definitely keep an eye out for Volume 6.

Well, this got my heart pumping a few times. Instead of reading fifty shades some women need to grab a copy of this.

Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy

The writing is solid. But the premises within are pretty standard fair. But that's not a bad thing, it's what people like. When people want something different, they go elsewhere.

A little mix of everything. But nothing new. Nothing stellar. Suitable, but not exceptional.

To categorize a story as "the best" comes with some high expectations from me. Volume 5 of the Best Wieners Women's Erotica doesn't disappoint. There is a little for everyone and the stories are short.

A few of the stories listed makes me want to see If there are full stories out there. It peaked my interest enough to want some more backstory and completion to some of these stories.

Because the stories are so short, it is easy to page through and move on to the next one.

I would like to thank NETGALLEY and the editors of this anthology for this advanced reading copy of this work in exchange for an unbiased review.
