There is just something about this book I don’t like. Overall I like the message of helping is good. And I like the message of helping parents do some of their stuff so they have more time for the kids. But I think what has thrown me off is that Angela, the girl in the story, gets disheartened because she is asked to do things she should already be doing like picking up her toys and making her bed. If those things were already done, maybe the parents would let her help with other things. Maybe I am just looking for too big a hole. The story is nice, but not great and not one I would add to my shelves at work.

This delightful story encourages parents to involve their children in some of the every day tasks that need to be accomplished around their home. It is a wonderful feeling to be included and allowed to help out. Working together along side an adult boosts a child's self-confidence and results in a happy. contented feeling because they are now part of the team"family". Inclusivity empowers wee ones to feel valued because they too have abilities to share. It's also fun to bond together as a family and spend quality time working together on little projects that a child can maneuver and that is age appropriate.

Angela, the main character in today's book, realizes that she is helping out with small things like putting her toys away but she wants to move on to more "grown-up chores" like helping her mom paint the new door or her dad wash the vegetables for dinner. They decline her offer to help when she offers and that leaves her feeling sad and rejected. Oh my! How can she get them to understand that she wants to do more?

Angela has a eureka moment at school and comes up with a plan to get her parents attention and hopefully persuade them to give her more opportunities to work with them. They are always busy and running about and she feels that she can alleviate some of that stress by offering her services to help more often. Will her parents listen to her concerns... not only listen to her... but actually change the way they view her capabilities and allow her to take on more responsibilities?

The expressive illustrations are well done and certainly enrich the text. This short engaging story will have long term applications and the whole family will benefit from its message. I highly recommend this book.

This book is amazing beautiful illustrated book for toddlers. Great story to help Tolders learn about hands. Very colourful and cheerful book. Illustrates how hands are used and why were given hands. Highly recommend.

I liked this story! It was so fun traveling the world in Grandpa's little stories of his past as a sailor. Sadly, the illustrations didn't download properly, so I think I may have been missing some of the story as other reviewers mentioned America wasn't a reference to the U.S., but S. America. So maybe find a copy to preview before purchase if this might be an issue. I'd buy it myself!

Mike and Mackenzie Morrison's book, "Little Hands Help" was a beautifully illustrated children's book (Nina Summer) that teaches kids to ask to help their parents. It teaches kids responsibility and it empowers kids to get involved with their parents to know how they can best help.

This a great lesson that all kids should learn so that they take ownership and responsibility, but also so they feel important and valued in the family and home.

I loved this short, engaging read for toddlers aged 3-6 years old.

I received this as an eBook from Smith Publicity via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the title. I did not receive any compensation from either company. The opinions expressed herein are completely my own.

This is a great resource for kids and adults like. It reminds parents that the little ones want to be included, and it gives kids a gateway to speak up for themselves.
