I read this book a few years ago. When I didn't know that we had to make a review here as well., I remember this book being short. But it was alright

Ruckus is a romantic suspense themed book. I wasn't super impressed by the first book in the SEAL Team Alpha series. I will not be reading anymore books from this series.

This was overall a pretty meh read for me. I love romantic suspense and while this definitely wasn't the worst I've read, it's far from the best. Though I will say there were lots of out-loud "What is going on?! What are they doing?!" exclamations from me while I was reading, so that's something. Honestly, they lost me when they raced from the bad guys and wrestled caimans, just to bang it out against a tree an hour later. It was all a bit much and I couldn't stay in the story.

But if you're looking for an over-the-top read with a solid crew of guys, this is your book!

A deep dark story of romance and suspense. An easy to get into story with gripping wordage. Very deep story with a great ending.

Ruckus is the first book in Zoe Dawson’s SEAL Team Alpha series and is also my first read by this author. It is a fast paced, emotionally charged, adrenaline rush from start to finish, and Bowie ‘Ruckus’ Cooper definitely sets the stage this to become a must-read series! There is really nothing not to like when you have exceptional world building, believable character development, plenty of action and heartfelt moments that will steal your breath; the book simply has it all. So, while this may be my first Zoe Dawson novel, it will certainly not be my last, as I wait with bated breath for the next exciting instalment of SEAL Team Alpha.
