4 stars as a book to read for leisure and 5 stars as a text for Theology subject. I am interested in reading about Gena who is a pastor’s wife. It is an awesome read in learning about biblical women from the Old Testament and New Testament and how they ministered to other women. At the end of the chapters the author asks and answers questions as well as thoughts to consider.
I would recommend women who are considering a career in ministry. I certainly would utilise this book for an Theology assessment. My review is posted on Amazon.com.au, Christianbook.com, goodreads, Barnes and Noble. Run date of 24 February 2020 the review will be posted/published at. I think that this is a good book for Women who want to lead a Women's Ministry or improve one they are already apart of. For me I didn't think it applied too much to where I am in life right now but it was still an enjoyable read.

This was a good book about women's ministry and the importance of keeping Jesus at the center of it. The author really focused on women's importance in the church, discipleship and providing opportunities for women to build community and grow in their faith. It provided a great theological foundation and practical ideas. I did not agree with the author on every idea and point but it definitely provided food for thought!

I am reviewing a copy of Women’s Ministry With A Purpose through Leafwood Publishers and Netgalley:

This book reminds us that in order to have a women’s ministry there first must be leaders in place. We are reminded too that a leader is called into leadership by God. We are reminded too that the gift of Leadership is not to elevate ones self.

The role of women’s ministry is vastly different now than it had been in the past.

We are reminded too that Women’s Ministry is first and foremost under the authority of God and serves as a representative of their home church to the body of the community. It is pointed out too that women’s ministry is Church Ministry.

We are reminded too the importance of the Christian education of women in the ministry.

The book goes on to remind us that women’s ministry is like a bridge used to connect us. The importance of communication and leadership.

I give Women’s Ministry With a Purpose five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

Gena B. McCown has written a must read for any woman in leadership or looking to launch a woman’s ministry! I am a third year MOPS coordinator and wish so badly I could have had this book from the start. This book is practical and offers tips for creating a successful gospel centered ministry.

I love how this book flowed. She started by talking about women leaders in the Bible and pointed out key passages where women are told to teach other women. She then got into talking about the creation and heart behind women’s ministry followed finally with the ongoing management of one as well as some pointers for challenges along the way.

There was nothing that I did not enjoy about this book and plan to use it as a reference tool and I will be buying a copy for my apprentice who will take my place. We will be taking the suggestions for fine tuning your ministry and I look forward to seeing seeds planted.

I am grateful to McCown for following GOD’s calling to write this book. I know many ministries will reap the benefits of this work. She will certainly be credited!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.
