This was a fun read. It has a great sense of place that really shares the joy of the beach. The characters were great and I loved the ending.

Okay, fans of Kristy Woodson Harvey, get ready. Kristy has given you another novel to love and discuss.. North Carolina beach weather and a female character with a burden. This burden is as real as it gets for Gray has just lost her mother to cancer. She's lost other things recently also...her sister to a man, and her husband to a woman. LIfe isn't good.
But in great Kristy Woodson Harvely fashion, the beach, the sun, the small town, and a cast of characters help Gray get through this dark period.
This is a light, beach reading book. I know Kristy's fans and new readers will enjoy it.

A thoroughly enjoyable read... Well developed characters, a great ensemble cast, and interesting story lines that kept me guessing.
I received and ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. My thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity. #NetGalley #FeelsLikeFalling

An easy and engaging story of friendship! I laughed and I cried and loved these two characters. A great story of friendship. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

A great book about the bonds of friendship and friends becoming your “family”. Gray is a woman who is just fresh from a divorce who may have accidentally gotten Diana fired from her pharmacy job. Gray and Diana live two totally different lives as Gray is very wealthy and privileged while Diana struggles in every way. Gray tries to help Diana out because she feels so terribly about her losing her job and in turn sparks an endearing friendship as both enrich each other’s lives. Sweet story and nice read.

Diana is every woman who has struggled and fallen down. Gray is that lady everyone knows needs a second act.. This is an uplifting and humorous portrayal of two women who are looking for that second act in their world. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants that great beach read or quiet winter day read!

Feels Like Falling by author Kristy Woodson Harvey is another delightful book set on the Carolina coast with wonderful characters. The different scenes in this book will have you laughing and others will have you sobbing. The unlikely friendship of Gray and Diana is filled with emotional dilemmas and leads to second chances in each of their lives. Gray does not intend to cause Diana to lose her job in the photo department of the pharmacy. Diana has learned to take advantage of even the hard knocks in her life. She gives Gray some of the best support during their time together. I loved the energy of their friendship and problem-solving as their lives took different paths.
Gray is struggling with the divorce settlement and custody agreement as her soon to be ex goes his merry way with her money. Diana has become homeless and almost broken in her spirit as she tries to save enough money to start her deli business in an old boat, Both of the women have family estrangements and then reconciliations. Feels Like Falling is a superbly written book about the highs and lows in life and the healing therapy of friendship.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I had not read this author before , but I will in the future as I read this one in one day. It's a light read filled with humor and wit but with serious themes about modern woman, especially those from two very different backgrounds.

It’s summertime on the North Carolina coast and the livin’ is easy.
Unless, that is, you’ve just lost your mother to cancer, your sister to her evangelical husband, and your husband to his executive assistant. Meet Gray Howard. Right when Gray could use some good karma, she inadvertently gets a stranger fired from her job at the local pharmacy.
Diana Harrington has been holding on to life by a thread. Homeless and living in her car, and now fired from her job, she decides to play the guilt card and talk Gray into helping her out.
As Diana starts to organize Gray's life, and both of them start to move forward with the help and encouragement of the other, this summer may be just the start of new lives for both of them.
A lovely read, full of wit and wisdom. Recommended for every beach bag.

I really enjoy Kristy Woodson Harvey's books, so anytime a new one comes out, I'll be reading it. That being said, Feels Like Falling was good, but after the Peachtree Bluff series, this one left a little to be desired. Parts felt really rushed and choppy and Gray taking Diana in the way she did felt really unrealistic. I would give the book a 3.5 overall. There were some really interesting themes explored and I love how human she makes her characters so human. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

This is the first book that I have ever read by this author and I must say that I will look for more of her light, easy reading in the future. Set in the beautiful coastline of North Carolina, the book has a story to tell about lasting friendships and unexpected events in life that help to shape us. The main characters, Gray Howard and Diana Harrington, have both made some really poor choices in life leading to current consequences that are molding them into new women with a new purpose in life. Gray’s mom just died of cancer, her sister got married to a religious fanatic and her husband has left her for his executive assistant, a young woman that Gray actually hired. Thus, Gray is feeling alone and abandoned by happiness. Diana Harrington has left her boyfriend who is a gambling addict and is working a menial job at a photo shop when Gray comes in for a print job and ends up getting Diana fired. This begins an unlikely friendship that develops as the story continues. I fell in love with the author’s ability to weave a good story with good lessons in it. The themes of second chances and surprises in life that fulfill us more than we thought anything could. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Diana and Gray, with all of their weaknesses out there for all to see and all of the strength that carried them through as well. Fans of light romance will enjoy this newest book by Kristy Woodson Harvey.

The novel started out interesting , but I lost my desire very quickly. It just didn't grab me like a novel generally does.

Southern fiction is becoming one of my favorite genres. Feels Like Falling has a lot of Southern charm, and family drama. Loved the characters and the storyline. Kristy Woodson Harvey is becoming a new favorite author . I am anxiously awaiting the next book by this author. Thanks netgalley fir gifting me an arc of this book. The opinions are my own.

Thanks to the publisher/Netgalley for a copy to read & review
A must read for anyone who loves Southern Fiction. This story has everything you could want-friendships (old & new), romance (old & new), a little family drama and a touch of humor to balance it all out! This book does alternate point of view from chapter to chapter-you get a little from Gray and a little from Diana, but it all comes together and flows beautifully. I found myself bring torn between wanting to read more and wanting to slow down and take my time, to make it last longer. Kristy Woodson Harvey never disappoints, you won’t want to miss this one!

A story of loss and heartbreak, friendship and family, and having the courage and strength to start over. When Diana meets Gray neither are having a good day. But that negative first encounter leads to a connection and something unexpected. This story of strong women and friendship is the perfect antidote for a grey day.

Another great read by one of my favorite southern fiction authors! I loved the friendship between Diana and Gray. Two different social statuses but with very similar issues of the heart. There is something for everyone in this book. Friendships, starting over after a divorce and juggling your child with the ex, homelessness, a past revisited, and cougar dating!! Loved it all. The characters are so real; especially Diana and her honesty and humor. Get ready for a great beach read in May 2020! Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for the ARC for my honest opinion.

This story was full of southern charm and interesting characters. While the story mainly follows two women who become unlikely friends, the cast of characters includes dependable friends and family members with complicated relationships. An enjoyable read, my first by Kristy Woodson Harvey, but definitely not my last. Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the advance reader copy, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve said it before, but it is so true - Kristy Woodson Harvey’s writing continues to evolve with each and every novel she puts out. Feels Like Falling will have readers wishing they were at the coast right there with Gray, Diana and crew..
Feels Like Falling examines the dynamics of two individuals from very different backgrounds. Diana from a less fortunate history and Gray who has worked hard to build her empire. Thrown together by an unfortunate situation, they find they bring out the best in each other. Then throw in some good old fashioned love stories for each of them and what Kristy Woodson Harvey ends up with is a fantastic, sure to be a hit beach read for 2020.
Put this on your TBR now, go pre-order it - I promise you, you will not regret it!

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. Kristy Woodson Harvey has written a wonderful story about friendship. The unlikely friendship between Gray and Diana is one we all wish we had. I loved the way both women helped each other to grow and learn more about themselves while helping each other. All of the friends in this story are people we’d all like to be surrounded by. I laughed and cried while reading this story!

Gray, 34 is in the midst of divorce and struggling with what is next for her. She wants to protect her son Wagner and the multi-million dollar business that she built from the ground up. She meets Diana, who is recently unemployed and homeless. What follows is an unlikely friendship between to two as they get back on their feet and redefine themselves. At the same time they both find love in unexpected places.
Kristy Woodson Harvey writes a coastal setting brilliantly. It evokes summer in the best ways. The unlikely friendship between Gray and Diana is well-written. While they are not that far apart in age, Diana almost takes on a surrogate mother role to Gray. Their friendship is one that becomes family as they both learn to be strong and resilient. Excellent southern fiction. Put it on your list for the beach this summer.
