Kristy Woodson Harvey has become my favorite author, with her series Peachtree Bluff series she won me over and there is no looking back. Her characters are so well written they become dear friends. These books move along so fast my only complaint is before you know it you hit the last page. I’ve purchased her books for family and friends. Pick one up for yourself you won’t be sorry. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars

Once again, Kristy Woodson Harvey has written a book that tugs at your heartstrings and keeps you rooting for the underdog. I love her style of writing, and FEELS LIKE FALLING didn’t disappoint. A wonderful book.

Feels Like Falling by Kristy Woodson Harvey brings to mind the novels of Elin Hilderbrand and Ashley Farley...novels that put you right on the beach with the characters, feeling the sand under your feet and the breeze in your hair. Although Gray Howard is having a rough time...she's recently lost her mother and her sister has gone off with her crazy religious husband, she never expected to accidentally get a woman fired from her pharmacy job. When Diana, the fired woman shows up at her door, she takes her in and her life changes in ways she never expected.

A wonderful, unexpected story from a delightful new author...I believe this is her second novel and both have been wonderful! Enjoy!

Any time I pick up a Kristy Woodson Harvey book, I know without a doubt I’m going to love it. Feels like falling was no exception.

Both Gray and Diana are such genuine, real characters, you feel like you know them and they’re a part of your life as well. It was amazing to watch their bond for and reiterates the point, that sometimes the people we never knew we needed, come into our lives at the exact right time.

This story touches on friendship, family, forgiveness, and second chances. It’s such a captivating story and will be a must read for Summer 2020!

Feels Like Falling – Kristy Woodson Harvey

Loved this book. I always love strong women and a great southern setting. Kristy Woodson Harvey delivers again. You have two strong women from completely different backgrounds both facing lifes obstacles head on. One is divorced with a son facing starting over when the fairy tale comes crashing down. The other one is fired with no prospects, no home and a history of getting involved with the wrong men. These two don’t have any thing in common but they become friends and bring out the best in each other. Once you start reading you will not want to but it down. When you first look at the characters you may not like them but as you start seeing them develop on the page you feel like you could know them and want them to be your friend.

I received a copy from Net Galley to read for an honest review. I felt blessed because I have read several of Kristy Woodson Harvey’s books and loved them.

"Feels Like Falling" is probably one of my favorite reads this year! I've recently grown to enjoy the Southern fiction genre (who wouldn't love the beach and coastal Southern settings??), and this one did not disappoint, leaving me wanting to dig into the rest of Kristy Woodson Harvey's books (which are sitting in my TBR pile at home). "Feels Like Falling" centers around the relationship between two women, Gray and Diana. Gray is a very successful, and wealthy, business owner, who is divorcing after her husband became involved with, and engaged to, the woman that Gray hired as his assistant. In addition to trying to figure out how to parent her young son with her soon-to-be ex, and the loss of her marriage, Gray is also still trying to recover from the recent death of her mother, and the loss of her sister to her overly zealous religious husband. Diana has recently just left another bad relationship and is currently living in her car. She hops from one bad relationship to another after losing the person she thought she was meant to be with after high school, after his mother did not approve of the relationship (she moved from one foster care family to another growing up after her mother up and left her and her siblings). When Gray thinks she got Diana fired from the drugstore she was working at, she offers a housekeeping job, and her guesthouse, to Diana, and the women quickly form not only a friendship, but a sense of family with one another, as Gray discovers what she wants in life isn't necessarily what she had initially envisioned, and Diana deals with the love of her life returning to the picture to find her.

Both Gray and Diana, are well-developed characters, and you feel as if you know and can relate to them. I loved watching them as they both discover the magic of having unexpected people come into your life, and the difference that they can make. The supporting characters were likable as well, and combined with Gray and Diana to create a well-rounded cast and story. The idea of family not just being those we are related to, but those friends who are there to support us and lift us up, is a powerful one throughout the book.

Thanks to NetGalley and Gallery and Pocket Books for providing me with an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. "Feels Like Falling" is set to come out in April of 2020.

A fast flowing story about friendship with people who have vastly different lives and second chances. Quite an interesting read.

Just the right amount of romance, family relationships, and hope to make this book such an enjoyable read. Gray is newly divorced, a successful businesswoman, heading into a summer full of changes. Diana is basically homeless, a young woman who has had to fight her way through a troubled childhood. Their lives intersect and they become as close as sisters. Add in some appealing characters, and you will feel like you have met new friends. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

This is a great story of friendship and second chances. I couldn't put it down. The characters seemed like people you would meet in real life. I need to go read more books by Kristy Woodson Harvey. I hope this is the start of a new series!

We meet the two protagonists at personal low points. Watching them be brave enough to start over with new beginnings is inspiring.

I loved this heart-endearing story! ♥️
One failed marriage with mounting lawyer fees trying to keep her company out of his hands, a job firing, living homeless in a car.. what more could go wrong? Two strong and independent women Gray and Diana each face insurmountable obstacles, both different as night and day, meet and form an unbreakable bond.
Their heartaches and successes were a roller-coaster ride of laughing, crying and cheering right along with them, and I loved Kristy’s portrayal of Diana’s autistic youngest brother Phillip. As a mother of a child on the spectrum it pulled on my heartstrings reading about Diana’s loving relationship with Phillip and the protectiveness she held for him.
Friendship, second chances, forgiveness, and finding that family is one we sometimes create ourselves makes this the perfect summertime (or anytime) read. I simply adored all the remarkable headstrong female characters throughout the book. Highly recommend!

As always Kristy Woodson Harvey writes about characters and their lives, and she writes in a way so that you can resonate with each and every character throughout the whole book.

I love how her books always prove to be emotional and shows the true meaning of friendship and family. I loved this story, just like all of her other books, and I would recommend this to anyone.

I am a fan of books with two points of view. Kristy Woodson Harvey uses this often in her writing. This is my favorite of her books so far. I just really liked the characters she developed. Both women are similar. They want to be independent and run their own business. Gray has hers and it seemed easy for her. Diana had a poor start and has had to overcome so much. I enjoyed watching them realize the other was the friend they needed. One realized life is not always what you envisioned and the other learns that the past can be fixed. It was a feel good read. Plus it was in North Carolina!!! The best!

Amazing and fun! Another great book - of course - with tons of characters and a lot of good stories. I hope this becomes a series - I have so many questions about what is going to happen! I absolutely recommend this book!!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

The second I saw that a new book by this author was available for request on Netgalley, I asked for it. Having read a few books by her already, I knew it was a given that I would like it. At least, I hoped it was. And I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. With each one of her books, including this one, I was immediately connected to the characters as I met them and I was automatically drawn to where the book takes place. I have no idea if her characters are based on people she knows in real life but, to me, they FEEL like people that should exist in the world...so I kind of hope so. The other books I read were very much about family and,in a way, this one is too. Yes, she does have a family but they are not your typical family...she lost her Mom recently, her sister is a drug addict turned religious fanatic and her husband left her for his secretary. All she really has at the moment is her son and her friends...In walks Diana, who brings a whole lot of drama, sass, and insecurities of her own. As Gray is coping with her divorce, she has the love of her old friends but she is also bringing new people into her life...new friends, new love, new HER. What this book teaches you is that friends are the family you choose to have around you. Sometimes that is good enough...and sometimes it is even better. Life is what you make of it and the grass is green where you water it. :) Loved the book.

This is a lovely book about the turns life can take when you step out of your comfort zone to truly live it. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Woodson Harvey books!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A bit confusing in the beginning and occasionally throughout. Characters got a little confusing at times.
Easy beach read.

Kristy Woodson Harvey wrote a captivating book about second chances through her novel Feels Like Falling. Gray was in the process of a divorce and was figuring out life at her beach house. Diana, a stranger who was down on her luck, guilt tripped Gray into a job. The two became fast friends and learned a lot about life from each other.
The only part of the book I struggled with was the character of Gray. She was the owner of a multi-million dollar business but she struggled to make simple decisions. She relied on everyone else to do everything for her. I found it hard to believe she could build such a successful business when she couldn't even decide if she liked her tennis pro boyfriend.
